Lampard wouldn't have the amount of goals he does without Drogba. He held the ball up a lot and it brought players like Lampard in to score.

Can't compare him to Messi, Ronaldo. Those guys play in the Champions League every season and score in some of the biggest games around. Suarez just plays in the Prem and odd domestic cup game. I'm sure he can, but who knows if he can perform at the same level in big European games.

Torres-Gerrard-Alonso It was a good partnership. He had youth on his side and was confident. He's lost his acceleration and finishing. His goal record wasn't very impressive at A Madrid. His first Liverpool season was great, second was good, third was poor.

We have bough 3 class strikers past their prime, two of them played in Italy for a longggggg time. Crespo and Shevchenko were too late in their career for a new league that is as fast and psychical as the PL. As for Torres....Who pays £50 million for a player that was out of form all season and had a pretty bad injury at the WC. We buy big names and hope they fit in. Teams like United buy strikers that suit their system and fit in immediately. Shevchenko will always be one of my favorite strikers. He was so good in the early 2000's

I've seen him play a few times. I don't have much of an opinion on him. I would rather a cheaper player turn out to be a good player, rather than an expensive one turning out to be another flop. Nothing can be worse than our current midfield

The linkup between defense and attack is worse. Too slow It's either a sideways/backwards pass until someone from attack drops deep to receive the ball, or a hoof from Luiz to a striker that can't hold up the ball. We still suck in front of goal though

Mourinho may not have stuck around for long but his team kept us going for a long time. The core of Chelsea was always Cech,Terry,Lampard and Drogba. Also players like Malouda,Cole,Kalou etc stuck around a long time and won us silverware. Hopefully Mourinho lasts a long time here and builds a team for years to come
