Oscar did well, always felt he would do better away from a #10 role. He's a jack of all trades and master of none so put him in a position where that works best. Still has a ways to go but its a good start for him.

Easy to blame a youngster and claim he hasn't performed. But Baba truly needs the full backing of the manager which means he should be starting LB regularly allowing him to grow in confidence and reach his potential. I've seen enough in the handful of games he has played for us to say he has the potential to be a fantastic LB except here at Chelsea we'd rather play a right footed RB as LB paired with an old donkey in Ivanovic.
I am empathic to Baba speaking to the media like he has. Seems like he's not a stupid kid just to sit and warm the bench while watching donkeys like Ivanovic and Oscar starting every game irrespective of performance and ability. Maybe with the stupid hierarchy we have at Chelsea he will become another Bertrand or De Bruyne and shipped out as shit goods but turn out to be a gem in another team where they appreciate investing in youth with great potential on the pitch and not just in their transfer & profit policies.

Oscar would make a great sub but I can't see him as a starter anymore. He is what he is.
Get a certified #10 and either let Oscar's sale finance the move or push him to the bench.

He's 21 and with more games should come into understanding how to handle his role.

I think the main issue with Oscar is that he is a swiss army knife. Does a variety of things well but doesn't excel at any one task. If he wasn't so slight of build he'd probably be best as a CM and not as an attacking mid. When Oscar first arrived here I pretty much thought of him as such.
Now with that being said....I think he is what he is. There is room for improvement but with his style of play its more so fine tuning than an outright jump to another level.

I think he needs to go. He needs time out there to get better and while I don't think he's a bad player I don't see him overtaking any of our current wingers. They just demand too much demand...his best chance is getting a shot while Andre is struggling and it's still not really happening.

I don't believe Basel would be relegated. Better team than the likes of Burnley, Leceister, West Brom, Queens Park, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Hull.
The English league outside of the top eight or so clubs is vastly overrated.

I think Cesc is more effective in a deeper role (especially in our system) but he can play in the number 10 role better than anyone else in our squad. In his last few season for Arsenal he played further forward and he was unbelievable, scoring goals and racking up assists for fun.

Andre has slowly become one of my favorite players on the team and watching him show out during the WC was great...hope he brings that momentum into the BPL.

Did it cross your mind that maybe, just maybe, this is because they are the best players in the world ? And for your information, Cristiano has never scored 50 goals in a season in La Liga (the nearest he got was 46) — only Messi did it, and it was just once. And both Messi and Cristiano scored more than 40 goals in a season only twice. Get your facts right.
Furthermore, last season : Cristiano scored 31 goals out of 30 games ; Messi 28 out of 31 ; Suarez 31 out of 33. By the way, in 2007-08, Cristiano has scored 31 goals in the Premier League, the same amount he has scored this year in La Liga.
Finally, last season, there are 1045 goals that have been scored in la Liga........ While 1052 in the Premier League. And, in la Liga, the three first team have respectively scored 77, 100 and 104 goals ; in the Premier League, 101, 102 and 71 goals. Two seasons ago 1091 in la Liga while 1063 in the Premier League. Three seaons ago, 1050 in la Liga, 1066 in the Premier League. So, at the end of the day, there is nearly no difference between the Premier League and La Liga in regards of the goals scored.
That kind of argument "La Liga is an easy place to score ; the Premier League is the toughest place to score" is an argument old as Herod, and today it does no longer hold any water.

I'm happy he's here. He's one of my favorite players.
Hopefully he fits in with the squad properly to make a big contribution.
