And you expect that from him because you know he's an OUTSTANDING manager..... Thanks for admitting that Sam !

I don't want a selfish player like Robben he can stay at Bayern. I can't see Pep liking him because of his selfishness so I think he'll probably leave Bayern but I don't want him.
-
I don't understand why people are saying things like ''cut our losses''......... what losses ? He along with Carvalho, Maka,Terry, Lampard, Cech and Drogba was part of our golden age we got our 24 million back and more from signing him. He got unlucky with 2 horrible knee injuries and we can't do anything about that. We should sell him though as he is finished !
-
Because he can't ack it in a cold and rainy night in stoke ''Joe Bloggs''

I think the best bet for them is too try and turn him into a direct striker like Eto'o so he can get mountains of goals. His goal record in Brazil is good and he is quick like Eto'o but for him to achieve this he would have to cut out the trickery on the wings crap and do it through the middle. Messi can have his free role on the right hand side again and Iniesta on the left hand side....

DUTCH MAN ! Berkamp... Van Persie.... Van Basten I would say if you want to see technical quality look no further then the Netherlands... you will see the answer in action not words !
-
What ever happened to those amazingly skillful mulattoes Brazil had in the 90's. You just have boring players now like Lucas Leiva,Fred, Leandro Damiao, Ramires and these boring but efficient players you've almost become a European side. Brazil from 1996-2002 had Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos, Denilson, Ronaldinho..... These were beautiful players with incredible skill and technique. I think Lucas Moura and Neymar are the only 2 that are in that class in terms of pure footballing ability.
-
Is Neymar as good as what they say. I don't watch Brazilian league and the only time I've seen him play is on highlights and I've been impressed.... Do you think he is as good as someone like Hazard ?

Christian Benteke has cast doubt on his future at Aston Villa by indicating that he would like to leave if a leading club such as Arsenal try to buy him. Villa want the striker to sign a new, improved contract but Benteke has given a press conference on international duty with Belgium before their friendly against the USA in which he is quoted as saying that he may demand a transfer: "If Aston Villa say I must stay, I won't necessarily accept that. I do not in any way want to feel I didn't get the most out of my career." Benteke is further quoted as saying: "Of course playing the World Cup in Rio is in my head. But I have no fear of falling out of the team. There is no point in me getting into a tug-of-war with Villa. "If the chance comes up for me to join a club like Arsenal, I'm convinced we can reach a compromise where everyone comes out a winner." Benteke's agent Kismet Eris told the Sun: "This always happens when he goes away with the national team. I'd prefer he didn't speak to journalists but the Belgian team insist he does a press conference. "If he was unhappy at Villa we'd have seen that. But he's not." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/24/christian-benteke-aston-villa I really rate him... he's strong as an ox and he'd be a good option instead of a inflated signing over 40 million.

I get your point Styles and yeah I'm probably very naive to compare the 2 players in all honesty. I concede defeat on this one, totally proven wrong lol !
-
If he seriously wants to go to the world cup in Brazil and next season is a world cup year then he must without any doubt leave this club because I don't think he'll be number one choice for our new manager. The new manager will almost certainly have the option to by a new forward so he needs to leave for his own good !
-
No they both are attacking midfielders who are forced to play out wide most of the time. I just think Coutinho has settled in better and to be honest he's causing havoc in this league. I'm not writing Oscar off though I just thought he'd be a bit better in all honesty but he has time on his side !
-
I don't really rate Oscar to be honest I really don't think he's anything special. He keeps it simple and he's got a knack for getting the odd goal but he's nowhere near as good as Coutinho. I thought he would of been a lot more creative even from a wide position then what he is but we'll see how he develops.

Gomez is one of the slowest players I've seen in terms of turning and his complete lack of agility. He would completely ruin our team he would really damage us as a club we really don't need him. We dealt with him so easily in the Champions League final that most of us don't even remember him playing that game, he played the whole game including the penalty shoot out and even at 25 years of age Drogba at 34 looked younger and fresher lol !
-
We can't keep a striker who goes half a season without scoring a Premier League goal it's just not something we can do as a club. He's had an awful season and that is the honest truth Mata and Hazard are number 1 and 2 in the top assists ranking in the league this season and Torres despite having 2 of the most creative players in the league has gone half a season without scoring in the league. How we have managed to get into the top 4 with this guy is beyond me and I shudder to even contemplate what we could of done with a on form Crespo or Drogba !
-
That is a really expensive friend to keep at the club..... Would he be willing to take a dramatic pay cut ? One equating to a salary from McDonald's as that is all he's worth these days....

Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, a confirmed Lukaku admirer, has even praised his father's influence. "It is true we wanted Romelu, but he has a very clever dad, "He wants Romelu to stay at Anderlecht for one more year. I wish all dads were like this." Lukaku is a player that Mourinho previously tried to sign and he's said some very encouraging things about Lukaku in the past. I think we could start the season with Mourinho and a hungry target man up front like we did back in 2004-2005 !
-
Who would you like to see as Chelsea No.10?
Badboy replied to Ronaldo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
We play so many games and Mata has played so much that I think all three can have a fair chance in the CAM role... -
Yeah Forssell would of been a great striker for Chelsea if those injuries didn't ruin him I really liked him too.
-
The way Didier closed the chapter of his Chelsea career was just awesome. We really showed fight that night because lets be honest they were a better team then us and they had very talented players. We fought them and prevailed !
-
Lol if I was Torres reading this thread it would put the final nail in the coffin for my dignity ahhaha people are actually putting viable arguments for a false number 9 like Mata instead of Torres.
-
The only striker we've had that has done that well on loan was Sturridge. This guy will make it we invested heavily in him because of his performances in the Europa league at 17 years of age. He's someone who we can really mould like we did with Didier and he'll keep improving with time. I read that as soon as he came on against United they were put on the back foot because of his strength and that is what we need upfront !
-
He's going to be a superb player for this club because he's a true Chelsea player. He is exactly what will give players like Hazard and Mata the space to play around him.
-
Laugh out Loud this Ronaldo talk is silly as if Madrid would want to let him go just because of Neymar..... Neymar isn't nearly as good as Ronaldo and it would be silly to think Neymar could even remotely take his place...
-
A Ronaldo transfer would be hefty for even an owner like Roman to be fair.
