We don't need a ''world class striker'' because it never seems to work for us. We need to sign a good 24-27 year old balanced striker and to bring Lukaku back to the club. I am sick to death of signing these high profile strikers who arrive and figure out in no time that we have never been a club that was designed to service strikers. The other clubs like Liverpool design their whole team around playing the ball forward into the strikers, we have never been this type of club. We have always tried to spread goals around the team even from when I was young in the 90's with Poyet arriving late in the box like Lampard has been doing since about 2003-2004 !

He's not the most creative of players and that is a problem. His assist record isn't good enough and he needs to improve on it. The problem I find with Oscar is there's nothing he does that is specifically outstanding. He works really hard and that works in his favor but on the ball hes not a particularly good dribbler or creative force, hes got a decent shot on him. Alex made a really good point though he does need a rest and that's clear for us to see. I think we need to start Willian in that area of the pitch soon because he looked dangerous at city with his pace in central areas, we can then have Hazard and Salah on either wing.

The problem with that is we have the momentum and City don't. We just sat back and invited the pressure and it was always going to end up like that. We need to do what united have done repeatedly and say to the top 4 we are going to win this title if nobody else can be bothered with putting the effort in.

The fact we don't have a competent striker is glaring and a massive mistake that might cost us this title which would be a big big shame. Eto'o floats around too much and he's just not a striker thats going to bury those crosses.

Superb player and to be honest he was a player i discounted the last time we had him as being too sluggish but he was brilliant against city.

Not only did he run is socks off but he was always dangerous on the counter !

I was so proud by how we kept our shape and atacked with pace. This is what we need to do at Anfield as well !

I haven't been around for a while because of work commitments but I'm going to be back on the forum a bit more from now on. I have followed our progress closely and I think we're building a good team that will be able to compete in the future.

The Turkish league is rubbish and you know it. Turkish teams shouldn't be in European competitions anyway they should be in Asian football competitions as turks are not European.
