If we have an injury in a two man striker force it reduces it to one, and a freak red card etc can leave us having nobody and doing what we did against Napoli in the CL winning season and playing a stranger up top, it's a huge, huge risk to take with the amount of games we play as a club. Last season we were massively fortunate that Torres, as bad as he was at times did not get an injury as the run in and clamber for fourth would of been tougher than it was. We need to avoid that at all costs again by buying/introducing another body. Torres did well in the run, worked hard and put himself about, I'm sure Jose would make him even better, and the prospect of Lukaku, Mata, Hazard, Oscar and Cavani under Jose is a tremendous thought.

Offloading Torres and Ba would be wrong, we would then be in the same situation as last season with two strikers. Cavani and Lukaku and nothing else, we need more back up. My take is keep Torres, Lukaku back in, plus Cavani, three forwards is a good number IMO.

So lets look at the big picture....We spend 50M on Cavani, 10M on De Rossi and 20M on Schurlle, plus bring back KDB, Essien and Lukaku.... Now we ain't looking bad are we? Takes FM hat off.....even though I don't play it.

Believe me it isn't over priced, he's every bit his release clause IMO....we will address other areas I'm sure of that.

He's one of the best strikers in world football, you have to expect to pay huge money if you want that. The only way someone would come cheaper is if their contract is nigh on run down. It's not a matter of 'falling for it' it's a matter of do we want one of the best.

I hope the club are doing everything possible to get this bloke here. I said we would win the PL with Jose, with this guy as well we can do a lot more.

One thing I want to see from Jose is to instill into the players is making a good and solid start to a game and rid players of stupid basic mistakes like we seen last season. We would kick off, knock it around and out of nothing just hoof it long, I want to see patience and get the basics right. So many times we lost possession needlessly by giving away a stupid 5 yard pass and the other team would be on to us like a fat lass in Burger King.

Schurlle can play right side also, so spending a supposed half of what Hulk would cost on Schurlle makes great sense, couple with Schurlle can play left side also I can handle that. Use the supposed 15-20M saving on someone like De Rossi, who wouldn't cost all that and all of a sudden we have a shape and options.
