  1. People would rather have Torres, Lukaku and Ba over Torres, Lukaku and Rooney? 's
  2. Rob Beasley has been tweeting and says he will have big news regarding a certain well know striker later tonight. Obviously could mean anything but will be interesting to see what is said, and isn't he close to Jose?
  3. On a flight does he get charged extra weight for his nose?
  4. The Mail at it again. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2370146/Arsenal-interested-Juan-Mata-Chelsea.html
  5. I have no idea how much they will sell Rooney for, unlike you I don't have a crystal ball like you telling us we are going to finish 3rd or 4th etc if we don't sign someone quick sharp. Barring Rooney do you know who we are chasing? for definite, didn't think so. But you are quick to put down the club and board saying if we don't sign someone we are doomed.....Not the case, we have made clever buys and whilst they not be what you are craving for like 60M pound players they can add massively to us this season under Jose. You clearly have a different outlook to me on this, and are panicking already before a ball is kicked and before the window is even closed. Come back to me end of August and we will discuss this further.
  6. No, I'm not an expert, but I am also not an impatient gullible mug who thinks deals should be done yesterday. You can only truly say a deal was done quick if you know the timescale of the first contact point, which I doubt anyone does without the manager saying so. Regards Cavani and Falcao the club obviously thought the price was too high and the risk too, with Rooney the price will be hugely different but a PL proven player. Not everything in life has to be 40-50M plus, and I know some on here think all our signings should be, you crack on. The lack of faith and impatience you are showing is typical of today's football faithful, everything has to be done yesterday at the biggest dollar possible. I know in your world the transfer window is closed and we will be relegated so good luck on that one.
  7. How exactly are we dicking around? And please don't throw Jovetic and Negredo back at me because you have no time scale as to how long City had been in talks/pursuit of them. Deals, especially like this Rooney one are not like Football Manager, it's not a click of a button. This is a top class player from a rival team, a team that are not willing to sell, yet a player who is annoyed at recent events. We have only bid for him, we haven't even got down to the nitty gritty of negotiations yet and that's when it gets tough. There is well over a month for things to transpire and yet people are nearly throwing themselves off bridges and rocks because we haven't signed a striker.... Get in the real world, and be patient FFS.
  8. Barcelona have said Fabregas is not for sale.
  9. Up the bid, make sure the loyalty bonus is covered, Gollum will be enraged and we get Rooney...
  10. Smoke bomb this towards the Rooney saga.
  11. United have a massive problem on their hands, he's home from their tour, Jose has spoken up about him, Moyes is furious everytime he is asked about him and he's been called a 'Back up' Unless there is a dramatic turn of heel from Rooney ie he says "I love the club and I am staying" Then this is a massive issue for United. Too much water has passed for me, regardless of whether he comes here or goes to another team, this has escalated into a situation you don't really associate with United, it's a mess, and I honestly think they will and will have to cave if we improve our offer.
  12. When he first joined he was a complete joy to behold, really, really like Essien but I am skeptical as to of he can rediscover his form. Could be like a new signing if it happens.
  13. As long as Essien has learned how to pass a ball again I would love to see him back to some sort of player he was.
  14. Wayne Rooney doesn't want to go abroad as he refuses to learn a first language.
  15. Counter productive to keep a player on a so called 250k a week that's un-happy and on the bench.
  16. Despite Rooney’s current disillusionment and Chelsea’s determination to buy him, United are adamant they will not sell as they brace themselves for a written transfer request from their unhappy striker. Rooney is “angry and confused” at the perception he is now an understudy to Robin van Persie.
  17. I think reality will bite at some point and realise they have a very disgruntled player and eventually cave, but I think it goes the distance.
  18. I wasn't saying otherwise, just posting what was said.
  19. Moyes in his Presser claims again he will not be sold, end of.
  20. Expensive bench, with that comes a massive test for a manager to keep players happy.
  21. It looks good on paper, but football is not played on paper. Negredo is a decent player, nothing more, jovetic is un proven in this league and will probably be there best purchase IMO. I don't mind Navas but looks a polished Craig Bellamy to me and Fernandinho is a super player. If we sign Rooney I think we will be a much better side, and even better with de Rossi, but in all this I think we have made one better signing than anything they have........he's called Mourinho!!!!
  22. Oh god, city buy a player or two and all of a sudden we are crap.
  23. Nout like spreading yourselves wide to push other teams on is there.
