Went to the Middlesbrough friendly with Bordeaux yesterday it was an invite from a corporate company a mate of mine works for, afterwards was having a beer in the bar area when in walked Ross Turnbull, I've known Ross for a few years now and managed to catch up with him yesterday. I asked him how he enjoyed it here with us to which he explained he loved it and was greatful for the chance to play for such a massive team etc. I asked him about Rooney, he said with 100 percent confidence we will get him, no doubt. He said he spoke with Jose only last week and Jose said to him "it was a matter of time" before we got Rooney. Just thought I would share with you what was said.

A bit of me dies inside when I hear the crowd make that noise that sounds like a massive orgasm.

How is that not hilarious? Well, to me it isn't, no matter what you may think, it's in no way or form hilarious.

It wasn't hilarious at all, it was damn right stupid and also, I watched the game with my son who is a budding footballer himself and he turned to me and just said "Dad, why did he do that" there is no answer, none at all you can give in that situation.

The choice is simple IMO, he stays at United and is a bit part player to a manager who calls him a 'Back up' Or He comes here to a manager that appreciates him, gets his favorite position and earns just as much.

He wants to go because he isn't guaranteed that starting role in his favorite position. Rooney's position at United was summed up by him being dropped in their biggest game last season against Madrid at OT, that was the biggest indication yet.
