Atletico activated Jackson Martinez clause and now have to pay full amount of 35m€ over the next 60 days while Miranda and Madzukic payments are spread over multiple years. Guess where will Atletico get that money from ?
-
How they can demand Moses on top of cash when Begovic has one year on his contract ? Unless the payment will be very small number or Moses goes on loan again. Begovic, at the age of 28, has won nothing and if I was him and such trophy-winning team came and show real desire to take him, I'd jump on that train. If he won't fancy number 2 spot for 2 years, he can then leave actually winning something and there'd still be plethora of clubs interested in him. I can't imagine that he jump now from one midtable side to another.
-
Everton will demand Lukaku money in return for him. But seeing that Garbutt emerged as another young defender they can be eager to sell him. When I read that he is ball-playing defender I can't believe. Is he really that good with the ball ? I've seen a lot of matches with Stones and he never struck me as a particularly great with his feet. Decent but nothing more.
-
His Youtube highlights look very impressive. That 25m€ price set by Chelsea isn't too much of maked up stuff especially when Roma paid around that for Iturbe. Salah is young, had great spell and has long term contract. Maybe he is another wild card for Chelsea, looking at clubs interested in him I see at least one player in each club that Chelsea should be interested in as well.
-
Hopefully his injury concerns (back, knees and vision problems) will become a real concern in some time and he retires before 40.
-
Still 15m€ spread over multiple years for top 10 centre-back from the last 3 seasons is a great deal. There was strong indication that Chelsea were interested last summer but wasn't ready to pay the asking price for 30yo. Now 15m€ is the cut price that they should jump for. The centre backs that are linked with Chelsea : Varane, Stones, Umtiti, Rudiger are very young. Maybe club are looking for a young defender now. But it's weird that last summer they were interested in Miranda and now they aren't.
-
They will sell either of Koke, Arda Turan or Griezmann. Koke probably staying put so there's choice between Turan and Griezmann. I still think that will be Griezmann but we have to wait. PSG are emerging as strong contender to get him.
-
Still 2017 is possible scenario to start this ?
-
It's been said that he will cost Inter 3m€ in the first 2 years and then 12,5m€ over the next couple of years. Cheap as chips. You either pay 3m€ loan to have starting CB or 6m€ loan to have backup striker ... Hopefully Chelsea have lined up another solution because can't reasonably understand why they or any other Premier League club didn't jump for Miranda.
-
Here we go, cheaper alternative as I predicted. Totally against this transfer. Homegrown factor is no factor at all, we don't have problem with this. Hopefully someone leaked this interest to quicken negotiations in other businesses. City have bigger problems in HG department so they can have him. I'd only accept this transfer if that has to save money for other big signings.
-
It's hard to imagine otherwise when club have actually more money than last season. Players are returning to training in 2 weeks time, on 6th July. I can still imagine that we will see a new face by then but everything is so quiet now. I even checked my own sources from different places which I've found reliable over the years and there's literally nothing going on at the moment, no bids, only interests. But transfers can be done at real pace, look at Inter, bang Miranda and now bang Kondogbia, in one week. And Mandzukic is going to Juve out of nowhere. So it can be done quickly but so far it seems only Italian clubs do shopping. One can only hope that Jose stayed in London for holidays to plan for next season and that means well-prepared transfer moves.

Why I'm seeing his old footage from Standard/Benfica days and he plays as a box-to-box/attacking midfielder while for Zenit he plays solely as a defensive midfielder ? What the hell happened here ? His offensive abilities were good enough back in the days for the midfielder I want. He linked up good, could spot the pass, could pass with left and right foot and was able to drag the ball and join the attack running to the box. If he can blend his offensive skills from old days with defensive skills from Zenit days that would be the midfield player I'm thinking of. But I'm literally powerless to judge if he can recover his offensive play or not after 3 years on the East.
-
Joao Miranda very close to Inter for 15m€ according to Di Marzio. What a steal. If we don't have money for Varane, Laporte, Stones or they are no go then we should go for Miranda. Can't imagine not paying 15m€ for him and stick with Cahill in starting XI.
-
As a Mikel replacement, sure, but he won't improve first XI. As a defensive midfielder he is good but his offensive play lacks very much. I can't imagine when we go into the big game with Witsel - Matic pivot, this lacks creativity too much. Fabregas has to be dropped and will be in bigger games, I'm sure, at least from pivot role, and we need big player for midfield role. Someone who can do industrial job like tackling, pressing and tracking back but he has to be offensively sound player as well. Be able to bring ball forward and fast the attacks and sprint to opposition box. Definitely not someone to give "a balance" which now has automatic meaning of someone who will slow attacks down. Witsel has technique on Hazard level in my opinion but there's too much Willian in him. Offensively inept. No thanks. We need Pogba/Koke/Vidal level player now. Though Nainggolan would do the job as well. Where is Michael Essien when we need him most ?
-
I was paying very close attention to Sterling in the last England game against Slovenia. What I strongly stick to myself again is that Sterling is very talented lad with extremely good dribbling, close control and balance, his movement is also good. I think that his finishing is actually a thing that with tweaks here and there and few work done should come good. I feel that it is few details away from him wasting chances and putting them in. So the thing about finishing is not something that should ruin brilliant player. He is very good with fast attacks, works pretty hard, link up play is decent. I really feel that he is not another SWP and brainless footballer. People forget that his form at the start of this season was very good. Seriously, can't help but feel with few changes he will be flying again. He's not far away from there IMO.

He wasn't Chelsea player until 2nd January 2014, how can you claim that is not true ?? Chelsea & Mourinho seemingly try to cut any connection between Chelsea and Traore before January 2014 claiming that he was on a 3 weeks trial only when it is widely known that he is here since 2010. It's clear as day that it has some shady deal in there. Similarly, Chelsea have Josi Quintero hidden somewhere (?) for some time before he turns 18 which will be soon but until now he's not Chelsea player. Another shady deal. (Though I checked this now and he apparently signed contract last summer but can't play, dunno why. It's hell of a mess with youth signings )
-
Exchange pounds for euros.
-
Not a chance. He wasn't Chelsea player until 2nd January 2014. If he stays now he won't have 3 full seasons or 36 months between 15-21 age. Though for now he will only be registered for Champions League spot.
-
YES but wait until Mendes is going to help to bring someone big next. Di Maria, Griezmann, Laporte, Varane, Jose can pick who he wants. Small gain now, big gain in the future. It's just a loan. I'm even happier now when Monaco take two youngsters to develop and offer them European football.
-
Now I think that Chelsea have a good chance to get Pogba. When you analyse where every team stands, Chelsea aren't far behind to make a move. The stumbling block will be a package to Pogba and his agent though. It would need Hazard thing and Roman admiration towards player to do so. But it's possible. I don't get the hopes up but surely Chelsea are in contention. Club have the money and need and there is a wild card (Oscar) in play too. Even though I think that Pogba isn't worth the money that is asked, with ever-growing turnovers which in Chelsea case will hit like 420m£ in 2016-17 season, 50m£ isn't much for 10 years service with Jose tutelage on highest quality material.
-
Some folks on Twitter suggests that Chelsea already applied for work permit. Some say that he even got one. I'm excited and I wonder where he will play. Number 10/right winger hybrid to utilize his vision and link up play. I don't want to stick him to the byline on the right because he's not great dribbler nor crosser to do that. He should play closer to the centre. It's awesome how greatly he combines both physical and technical attributes. When Chelsea brought him as a 14 years old they surely done that because of his technical qualities. He improved greatly in physical aspects, seems significantly quicker and is a tad stronger/broader than 1 and a half year ago. He also has great stamina doing mad number of sprints per game. Jose surely will teach him to make those sprints also in backward direction to track back.
-
I absolutely love this tweet. Falcao was bad but for 3rd choice why not. And they will develop 2 of our kids over there in Monaco.

Mate, you do realize that both Azpilicueta and Diego Costa had torn ACL previously ?

I think the main objective is to add as much corporate seats as possible. It's less about getting another 18k. Arsenal with their 60k has the second biggest income in Europe in matchdays with 100.2m£. Man United has 16k more in capacity but only 8m£ more in income. Barcelona has 97.7£ with almost 100k capacity and Real 95.2m£ with 85k. It's because Arsenal has new stadium with the most corporate seats there. Real are planning to spend 400m€ to add only 8k in capacity but want to improve corporate seats and stick shopping centre and hotel to the stadium. Chelsea isn't THAT far behind with 71m£ income from matchdays. It's 37m£ less than United and 29m£ less than Arsenal but it isn't SUCH a huge deal now. With new Yokohama sponsorship and Champions League prize money it's 45m£ more season and season out. And with new Premier League deal from 2016 it's another 55m£ more each season. Therefore it isn't that much of the deal now when majority of the income come from elsewhere. Though The Sun states that will bring extra 40m£ for the club. That would mean that Chelsea matchday income will be highest in Europe. Is that possible when Arsenal has already 60k stadium which brings "only" 29m£ more ? But surely they calculate it will bring a lot more than 29m£ because otherwise I can't see they'd splash 400-500m£ or whatever number on the new stadium when broadcasting deal alone would double that.

Just please tell me that the capacity will exceed 60k ... @WHS ?
