It's the opposite, Mata was hindering the team, because he only knows one role, epitome of one-dimensional. He never added anything substantial when introduced in similar level games under Jose; mostly down to form, hence why it was the perfect time to sell him. The entire deal was a masterstroke quite frankly, a panic buy from United, limiting their financial resources for the summer.
-
Yep, City's title it is then. Looking at their fixture list, this was supposed to be the banana skin, it's an easy run for them after the Liverpool game.
-
This is the problem of having a new kit every season, Adidas have to make stupid changes in order to justify the purchase.
-
Not really, it has extremely dark stripes DOMINATING it and from a distance the stripes look black. 'Blue shirt' should refer to it being the solid colour.
-
No, that would be worse tbh, thankfully that was only the FA Cup. When Spain won the world cup in their away kit, they quickly changed into the home shirt for the celebrations. The same would most likely happen for the PL if we were to win it away from home.
-
I can only see Bushman's posts when people quote him but wow, who doesn't know how to use a comma correctly?
-
That was a drop in the ocean compared to this, those stripes are a eye-sore.

Who would you sign to lead the line at Chelsea?

Oh yea.. Because Lukaku would be very happy as a 3rd reserve, wouldn't he. -
It's worse than the breast plate shirt in 09, because at least that was all blue, despite the poor design. We will win something in this shirt, unfortunately those iconic images will be ruined by black (or very fucking dark blue) stripes, ugh..

1. Big money signing ('finished article') 2. Lukaku 3. Eto'o (one year extension) 4. Bamford (a youth on low wages to eventually replace Eto'o as 3rd reserve) Out: Torres & Ba -
From a distance (mainly how we will view this) the stripes look black!, like black & blue, just awful. When was the last time we had a collar?, wake up adidas.. Can't believe this is the shirt we will win our first trophy under Jose with, THIS.. is the historic shirt, ffs..
-
I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am with that kit.
-
The tactical outclassing of Pellegrini at the Etihad seems like a lifetime ago in this thread.
-
We'll be scary in Mourinho's second season, as usual with him.
-
If you pretend scousers don't exist for a minute, I'd rather see Gerrard lift the title for the first and ONLY time than any of those City players.

There won't be a single doubt about Jose being at the club if we don't win anything this season. That in it self gives us stability and the players won't get a second chance (like Kalou, Malouda, Torres etc in the past), certain players here have thrived from perceived 'fresh starts'.
-
They all think like this, Happy Blue from totalfootballforums.com is just a typical City fan, they are worse than scousers, FAR worse.

Of course they don't, they've flopped the CL season after season and only won a title on the last day.. by goal difference.

City fans are worse than Liverpool fans, it's all subjective though, depends who you know in real life and online.

Would rather Liverpool win it than City, it could be a catalyst for City (their winning mentality) whereas Liverpool are just a flash in the pan.

Great article from 2013.. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/jul/30/manchester-city-human-rights-accusations for anyone interested in Man-City being used as a branding vehicle. a bubble waiting to be burst

Even without FFP, they wouldn't attempt to spend 'world record' money on Hazard, I was referring to the practise of acquisition/action.. not in theory. The Glazers, the opposite to Roman (motive wise) sold Ronaldo when FFP was just a concept, the other pre-FFP mega-deals can be justified in similar ways and their consequent ownership situations. PSG might have a chance when Hazard becomes a finished article and we already have a replacement. Robben has been our only major loss under Roman (which wasn't a 'sale' like Mata). We'll see what happens if Hazard becomes the 'marquee' we all hope he'll be.

Like I said, "in the real world". Also, UAE/that general part of the middle east, the point was.. that those owners are there for reasons beyond just passion like with Roman, who doesn't have a 'cause' to promote etc. There would be no justification for selling Hazard, FFP is irrelevant if you're not successful 'due to selling top players'.
