  1. This would signal the transition from coach to manager during Roman's reign, we've never had a manager, only coaches. #We'reTheNewUnited
  2. 2014, the year Roman decided a Chelsea manager could be.. a manager, rather than the coach.
  3. On paper it's a PR disaster, any other coach at the helm and the board would be holding out until he gets sacked and another face comes in. You don't let an asset leave if you have a carousel culture at the club.. The carousel has been replaced by Mourinho, we're the new United, he's the new Ferguson.
  4. Roman has given Jose the same power as Ferguson had at United.. Let that sink in for a moment, we're finally a proper football club.
  5. R.I.P player power R.I.P the board calling the shots, 'the suits' signing players without consultation from a coach We have a 'manager' who calls the shots now, we're the new United.
  6. THIS is how much faith Roman has in Mourinho!, the russian is almost treating Jose how Ferguson was treated at United.. Chelsea Football Club is no longer run by the players or the board, the manager is in charge!, at last.
  7. Think about it this way, we were worried how patient Roman would be with Jose this time around, well.. this is the ULTIMATE vote of confidence.
  8. I wonder what his future will be when Roman sacks Jose and appoints Mata as player-manager, you know.. for the good of the game.
  9. Thank you Mourinho, for shining a spotlight on the people who support the football club and the people who support players.
  10. I don't join forums and use a Hip Hop producers name in order to give you my life story. I'm a 90's baby, Champions league quarter finals/Guojohnsen/FA Cup winners. You're 75 so I can imagine there'd be a gap in how big you think Chelsea were when and where. This is the Juan Mata thread.
  11. Even if you look beyond the superior objective arguments in favour of Mourinho's philosophy over Mata, actual Chelsea 'fans' wouldn't back a mere player (bar real club legends like JT & Lamps) over the greatest manager in the clubs history. Philistines, they became Chelsea fans in 2007, with Avram Grant. Pity them.. because they missed out, skipped an era..
  12. No way, absolutely no way were Gilvorak & lionsden Chelsea fans circa 2004-07.
  13. I still praise him, he's still quality, we were blinded back then because our squad was a mere cup team, you have to put it into context. Context is everything..
  14. We're sending United a trojan horse, Gary Neville has it spot on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5jvAGrcywY
  15. The general consensus is almost always proved wrong, the signing of Torres was a positive initially 'bar a few rumbles from a minority of fans'.
  16. Mata doesn't press, doesn't track back and most importantly doesn't have pace. He can only play centrally, your post is illogical.
  17. Not 'infallible'?, well no shit, mind blowing logic here from Gilvorak, listen to this guy folks.. Mourinho Zealot / Mata Zealot [or insert another Zola esc 'one man team' player here] We can discredit people all day long with titles, I only see arguments and going by yours.. maybe it's time to stick to making & editing videos.
  18. There are two types of football fans, the Chelsea fans that still pine for a 'Zola', that one player we can look to and romanticise about. Then there's the fans of teams (units), i.e the sane ones...
  19. People need to 'get over' Mata, he's a player.. you support a 'club'.. right?
  20. Mata helped us win the CL?, lmao. *Napoli + a corner in the final*, other than that he did very little. We were over reliant on one player and because of that we were a mere cup team who couldn't challenge in the league. . Fragile/weak . Leaves full backs exposed when out wide . Zero pace (literally zero) . Limited to one role on the pitch
  21. It's a great part-time game, in the same way a football fantasy league is. I mostly use it via mobile, whilst on the go, the more new people the better since most of the banter comes from press releases etc. The layout is easy to navigate for newbies, any questions about the rules of the game etc just post them in here.
  22. How is it a shame?, we're winning and the system is working. I could understand the sentiment if you wasn't a Chelsea fan, but otherwise..
  23. ... And this is coming from an international member ^ It's about culture, it's about history, it's about identity. As a semi-italian football fan I WANT to see italian players at Milan & Napoli for example. It has nothing to do with me being english or Leif being a bitter scot. Smh, philistines.
