  1. PSG can't afford Hazard, not in the real world anyway. This is a passion for Roman, City & PSG are just being used as branding vehicles to promote the UAE.
  2. Cabaye said he's THE player he'd want to see at PSG, 'as if' that would even be an option. It's all in how he's worded it, no Stoke City player would say Messi is THE player they'd like to see at the club, for example. Their friendship is irrelevant to the actual statement, which is now in the public domain. It's all in the wording, luckily english is my first language.
  3. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt then, it was of course the french media that leaked Mourinho's comments regarding Eto'o.
  4. "Hazard is the player I'd like to see at PSG. He would do a lot of good to Paris and the league. He's one of the best players against whom I've played." He doesn't need to mention us, he said he wants Hazard at PSG, and the fact he didn't mention the word Chelsea makes it worse actually. He shouldn't be speaking about Chelsea players like that full stop, Hazard's name is 'in conjunction' with this club.
  5. It doesn't matter, he made those comments public. He wouldn't talk about Messi or Ronaldo like that because Real & Barca wouldn't sell to PSG, he sees Chelsea as a club that would. It should be in-con-fucking-ceivable to him.
  6. That actually makes my blood boil, who is Cabaye [insert any other PSG player] to be belittling Chelsea football club?, hope Jose addresses this to the press.
  7. Everything about the deal was a masterstroke, great bit of business, almost makes up for the Torres acquisition. Roman could have kept Mata around 'just in case' Mourinho's stint wasn't successful, thus another coach would come in and start playing him again. But no, he had the balls to back Jose, it was a bold move.
  8. ^ Taken from the Villa game, not photoshopped.
  9. Far from it. As mentioned a billion times already in this thread.. they have Liverpool & Everton both away from home. Not to mention fixtures against the likes of Southampton who (as mentioned above) poses a manager in high demand and have rightfully taken points from them already this season.
  10. City may well go into double figures at the Emirates, that Arsenal side have given up. The same feeling I had before the United game ('hoping' they could do us a favour) is the same one for this weeks game.
  11. Southampton's home game with City was tight, they drew but could/should have taken all 3, Pochettino is a top coach, hence why Spurs and co now want him.
  12. Never understood why people get offended and have to let people know 'in a thread about shirt numbers' that they don't care about shirt numbers.
  13. < The layout/design of the forum really gets messed up when members get past the 10,000+ post mark, one too many lions, sort it out please Jim, no need for that 'empty space' surrounding the 11th lion..
  14. In regards to City, Liverpool the obvious one, Southampton.. 'a possible banana skin' and of course Everton away in May. I can't see anything other than a win elsewhere.
  15. Reporter: Can you win the title? Jose: Can we play Aston Villa again..? ^ That says it all for me, and put a downer on the spectacle yesterday, It might all be for nothing, and we could end up looking back at that fixture.
  16. Considering Jose's love affair with Ivanovic + Azpilicueta pretty much nailed on at left back for the next 5/6 years, signing Shaw would be pretty superfluous. Shame really, in regards to the english core we'll be losing, right player/wrong time.
  17. It has a prestige/tradition now (regardless of how that prestige came to be). Hence why players like Adebayor & Wilshere gravitate towards it. As a kid, playing for grass root sunday league teams, everyone wants it. It's football romanticism, passion, soul, it's a symbol.
  18. 'On a side note', since we're talking about number politics.. Gallas left the club because Peter Kenyon gave Ballack the number 13 shirt without his permission. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chelsea/5240410.stm
  19. Well, it does actually matter, that's objective.. and universal across all football clubs and national teams. There is no.. 'point' to detract, only my facts.
  20. ^ It's already been explained to you how it's about prestige, tradition, culture, yet here you are still making sarcastic remarks.
  21. Nah, he's not on that level yet, might never be. Mourinho is the king, he has the most marketability, the most sponsorships (Braun, Porsche, Yahoo etc). Jose is the symbol of the club now, only two players in world football have more 'star power' than our manager.
  22. If you don't care, don't post in the thread about it. Numbers are positions.. so of course they have meaning, why do you think national teams are 1-11, and change depending on who gets selected. It's also about tradition & culture, Chelsea are accused of having none and people like you are the problem.
  23. Lmao, you have to love the language the Daily Mail have used for that heading, Inter are.. 'plotting', as if managing to pry Torres from us is the equivalent to a bank heist.
  24. Football is commercial now, Chelsea is a brand, like Pepsi.. the colour of the shorts are just as important as the shirt. If we ever switch to communism, you might see white shorts and black socks, until then.. no.
  25. Go outside, get a hobby/job/girl, do something.
