If you pretend scousers don't exist for a minute, I'd rather see Gerrard lift the title for the first and ONLY time than any of those City players.

There won't be a single doubt about Jose being at the club if we don't win anything this season. That in it self gives us stability and the players won't get a second chance (like Kalou, Malouda, Torres etc in the past), certain players here have thrived from perceived 'fresh starts'.
-
They all think like this, Happy Blue from totalfootballforums.com is just a typical City fan, they are worse than scousers, FAR worse.

Of course they don't, they've flopped the CL season after season and only won a title on the last day.. by goal difference.

City fans are worse than Liverpool fans, it's all subjective though, depends who you know in real life and online.

Would rather Liverpool win it than City, it could be a catalyst for City (their winning mentality) whereas Liverpool are just a flash in the pan.

Great article from 2013.. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/jul/30/manchester-city-human-rights-accusations for anyone interested in Man-City being used as a branding vehicle. a bubble waiting to be burst
-
Even without FFP, they wouldn't attempt to spend 'world record' money on Hazard, I was referring to the practise of acquisition/action.. not in theory. The Glazers, the opposite to Roman (motive wise) sold Ronaldo when FFP was just a concept, the other pre-FFP mega-deals can be justified in similar ways and their consequent ownership situations. PSG might have a chance when Hazard becomes a finished article and we already have a replacement. Robben has been our only major loss under Roman (which wasn't a 'sale' like Mata). We'll see what happens if Hazard becomes the 'marquee' we all hope he'll be.
-
Like I said, "in the real world". Also, UAE/that general part of the middle east, the point was.. that those owners are there for reasons beyond just passion like with Roman, who doesn't have a 'cause' to promote etc. There would be no justification for selling Hazard, FFP is irrelevant if you're not successful 'due to selling top players'.
-
PSG can't afford Hazard, not in the real world anyway. This is a passion for Roman, City & PSG are just being used as branding vehicles to promote the UAE.
-
Cabaye said he's THE player he'd want to see at PSG, 'as if' that would even be an option. It's all in how he's worded it, no Stoke City player would say Messi is THE player they'd like to see at the club, for example. Their friendship is irrelevant to the actual statement, which is now in the public domain. It's all in the wording, luckily english is my first language.
-
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt then, it was of course the french media that leaked Mourinho's comments regarding Eto'o.
-
"Hazard is the player I'd like to see at PSG. He would do a lot of good to Paris and the league. He's one of the best players against whom I've played." He doesn't need to mention us, he said he wants Hazard at PSG, and the fact he didn't mention the word Chelsea makes it worse actually. He shouldn't be speaking about Chelsea players like that full stop, Hazard's name is 'in conjunction' with this club.
-
It doesn't matter, he made those comments public. He wouldn't talk about Messi or Ronaldo like that because Real & Barca wouldn't sell to PSG, he sees Chelsea as a club that would. It should be in-con-fucking-ceivable to him.
-
That actually makes my blood boil, who is Cabaye [insert any other PSG player] to be belittling Chelsea football club?, hope Jose addresses this to the press.
-
Everything about the deal was a masterstroke, great bit of business, almost makes up for the Torres acquisition. Roman could have kept Mata around 'just in case' Mourinho's stint wasn't successful, thus another coach would come in and start playing him again. But no, he had the balls to back Jose, it was a bold move.

^ Taken from the Villa game, not photoshopped.
-
Far from it. As mentioned a billion times already in this thread.. they have Liverpool & Everton both away from home. Not to mention fixtures against the likes of Southampton who (as mentioned above) poses a manager in high demand and have rightfully taken points from them already this season.

City may well go into double figures at the Emirates, that Arsenal side have given up. The same feeling I had before the United game ('hoping' they could do us a favour) is the same one for this weeks game.
-
Southampton's home game with City was tight, they drew but could/should have taken all 3, Pochettino is a top coach, hence why Spurs and co now want him.

Never understood why people get offended and have to let people know 'in a thread about shirt numbers' that they don't care about shirt numbers.
