I was referring to major trophies.
-
Casillas plays due to his reputation Jose >> Carlo The hungrier the better, each trophy takes it down a notch.
-
Nah, I want them coming here hungry for trophies, not players that have already done it all. Chelsea have no connection to either club, so couldn't care less who wins, just want a good game.
-
They've both had outstanding seasons, but the fact he's up their 'on par' with Azpi (as an 18 year old) in such conversations and accolades speaks for itself. So saying 'other than being younger' is tantamount to saying 'Other than having one leg'.
-
No, just no. Again, I'm not using that as a reason for him being better than Azpi, merely adding a bit of context. But to say honest/straight talkers like Neville are picking him over Azpi because he's english is just paranoid and simple minded.
-
He was picked over Azpilicueta for Premier League team of the season by pretty much every pundit, even 'straight talkers' like Gary Neville picked him over Azpi. The guy replaced Mr Ashley-"I ain't done yet"-Cole for England and yet people are referring to him as a 'prospect' on here, lmao.

Misread post, due to his poor grammar, nvm.

Chelsea stands to increase revenues by more than £80m, to an incredible £340m this season. For perspective, the new Premier League broadcasting deal and new adidas deals alone represent an additional £50m per year in revenues. The club certainly didn't need the money to either 1) comply with FFP, or 2) pursue Diego Costa, [insert star player here], and a new platoon of youngsters to add to its army of loanees. - WAGNH

You never know, the reason for the sale might well have been to fund this deal. Sometimes you just have to roll the dice, can't always play it safe and sign a Del Horno 2.0 instead.
-
I was frustrated when we decided not to sell him to Barca for £30m when they came calling, so fair play to the board.
-
Mourinho's left bollock has more charisma than David Luiz, I'd say it's a tie between him and Brian Clough as the most charismatic characters in world football history.
-
Fabio Borini all over again, we'll get a good return on him if he has another successful loan though. This is the mentality we have to have now lads, Ba is staying (reportedly), nobody wants Torres, then there's Lukaku & Costa.
-
Not sure about Cole, but in regards to Lampard.. if anyone deserves to leave on a high, it's him.
-
The rumour originally came from The Daily Mail (well, at least in the UK anyway), they just earned some credibility with this one. Might have to lay off the 'Daily Fail' jibes..
-
FFP is really working isn't it, we never used to cover losses like this, Matic-Mata, Costa-Luiz.
-
Nah, they've been hit by FFP.. doubt they'll be paying £40m. With Zouma & Kalas though, we could really do with the money from this sale to fund a world class CM.
-
Monaco sacked Ranieri, 10 years after Mourinho replaced him at Chelsea.. how unlucky can he get. Did they really expect to be champions up against PSG the season after promotion?, smh.
-
New season starting soon, the league is now open for new teams..
-
Our bench will be the same colour as City's shirts when we visit the Etihad, almost like a tribute. Anyways, not the biggest of deals, just don't know why (of all the colour options available) they picked the current champions. Meh..
-
Everton are not direct rivals. Us and City are the new Barca/Real of the Premier League. We could have had ANY colour for those staff and training kits, but Adidas chose City blue, smh.
-
Surprised if they would even let our bench players/coaching staff etc wear them against City. Are there not rules regarding colour clashes, hence why when a player is substituted under UEFA and the FA he has to cover up.
-
1st image: a touch of light blue on the home 'shirt' only 2nd image: I bought that top, completely different shade to City's. Hopefully Mourinho starts wearing his suits again.
-
Honestly don't have any hope of us bringing through any youths without them first proving themselves for at least two seasons at another 'competitive' club. Which is why I had a laugh at the homegrown rule thread, with people referencing Josh and co; suggesting we let them rot on the bench just to fulfil the quota.
-
Worst thing is, our ENTIRE bench with be light blue... and even Jose is wearing official tracksuits instead of suits now. City fans will have a field day with this one, 'prepare for the banter'.

English talent comes around once in a blue moon, you just have to roll the dice when it does. The board played it safe here, and it'll come back to bite.
