Good to see AVB attacking the media, always frustrated me when Carlo would shrug things off or label everything as a 'bad moment™'. Throughout AVB’s reign so far, his handling of the media has been considerably better. Well.. Apart from when he indirectly criticised the fans for the poor performances, and claimed we needed nobody in January. Other than that, we as fans enjoy vastly improved communication from the manager.

^ That comparison is void. Sturridge hasn't been here for 5 years making the same mistakes, this is his first season as a starting XI, thus.. the patience is justified.

60,000 a week is an awful lot for a guy who never plays, nor has a future at the club. Even last season he only managed 8 starts.

We cannot afford to miss out on the CL for financial reasons (UEFA's financial fair play regulations), whether we would progress to the later stages is irrelevant. Heck, last season we failed to make the semi's and still managed to earn 44.5m, highlighting the strength of the TV market pool.

When a player is as bad as Kalou, they can be detrimental and do more damage than the opposition. So in a sense.. Kalou is the opposition.

The result against Arsenal was unforgivable, this double humiliation at the hands of Liverpool is far worse. AVB has become synonymous with naivety & failure.
