The fact Benayoun decided to choose 10 in the first place, tells you the type of person he is. He thought he was above this football club, and deluded himself into thinking he was worthy of a first team number. Ferreira never 'had' to do anything, Deco & ferreira were friends.. so it was completely different.

I doubt that, when Benayoun joined the club he demanded the number 10 shirt, as he wanted to be perceived as a first team player.

You've hit the nail right on the head here.. Anelka only has a year left, so it's not like the club will be tied down for 4+ years. Kalou however, has been a Chelsea player for 5 years, and in that time has an average performance rating of 2/10. Not to mention the fact he’s becoming an ever present poisonous element in the dressing room. Attacking Torres with his “sulking” jibes, and complaining about not getting enough appearances.

Why is it always the Cech's & Essien's of this world who get injured?, and never the Kalou's & Malouda's. It's vital Cech returns for the United game.
