The first player we have no choice about anymore is Drogba. If ever there was a game that highlighted how little he cares about Chelsea, it was today's for me. We can't afford to have him at Chelsea anymore.
-
What a load of shit we really are this season. Since when have Chelsea not turned up in the big games? Pathetic. And dont even get me started on Drogba, what a prize arsehole that man is. Great decision by Riley there, lol. Muppet. My post match rant

We used to be quite happy winning 1-0 however the goals came. I'm sure most of us would settle for 'boring' 1-0's for the rest of the season and all.
-
Totally agree with you on that. Potentially its got bore draw written all over it and even thats the best we can hope for. I can still see them getting a 1-0 though.

Lampard: "I DID want to leave Chelsea"
misschief replied to chrismada9's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It wasnt that he deliberately brought up the subject of wanting to leave, but its obviously a subject he's pressed on in interviews. I have to say I fucking hated him during the summer, I thought he'd taken the right piss out of us over his contract. Having sat and read through the whole interview though, I can see where he was coming from. And I love that he hates the dippers so much. -
Are we 'actually' going to sign anyone?
misschief replied to chrismada9's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Whats the problem? we signed someone didnt we? Ok, so he's an academy player but nevermind, lol. -
No talks with Roman Abramovich yet, says Holger Heims
misschief replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Its been a bit quieter about this the last day or so, hopefully they've fucked off now. Did anyone mention West Ham need money? -
If we sell anyone else, they'll be putting Wilkins in the starting XI.

Chelsea Fans Open Letter to Abramovich
misschief replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
So, if we're out of contention for everything for a year or two, so what? We were out of contention for bloody years before Abramovich came in anyway. Big deal. If the intentions really are to start bringing younger players through the ranks and let them play and learn to become great players from the sprinkling of more experienced (not to mention expensive) stars, so be it. I'm really starting to see the value of that as an alternative to buying trophies like we did initially under Abramovich - which is obviously highlighted in the extreme by Citeh's ridiculous wealth these days. Let's put up with the barren transition years and get a bit of pride back by actually bloody earning anything we win. Or am I just way too idealistic now? -
The rapist equalised.

Thank fuck its half-time. Watching Chelsea hurts my eyes this season. We're so bland its bloody painful.

Anelka predicts all three English sides to go through.
misschief replied to SempreJuve's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I've got a long standing hatred of Inter, so on this occasion I'd rather see United go through and think they'll probably manage it comfortably. Obviously I hope Arsenal get spanked but I can't see it somehow. Real v Dippers is a toughie given my passionate hatred of both although I'm gonna go for a marginal Real win. As for us, I've just got a feeling it'll be a case of 'Ranieri's Revenge'. -
I can't believe the arrogance of these people, Abramovich made it clear Chelsea's not for sale so why can't they just fuck off? They couldn't give a shit about football, its all just business to them. I might have had my doubts about Abramovich but at least he genuinely loves the game itself. As far as I'm concerned, this sort of takeover is a step too far, it'd totally destroy the club I love.

Hearing anything from Kenyon is always unnerving but fortunately, the fact that Abramovich has said he's going to sue over the stories seems to suggest he really hasn't got any plans to go anywhere. Statement on official website: “Defamation proceedings will be commenced tomorrow (Monday) in London by Roman Abramovich against the publishers of The Sunday Times. This follows the publication by them of false claims that he wants to sell his interest in Chelsea FC. Mr Abramovich has already made quite clear, through the directors of Chelsea, that he has no intention of doing so and that neither he nor anyone upon his behalf has been pursuing any such course of action.”

I'm hoping yesterday saw the re-emergence of our old fighting spirit and togetherness but I can still see us going out against Juventus.
-
We're still missing that clinical finisher up front because god knows we cant win games by fluking them like Liverpool. Having said that, for the first time this season I was proud of the way we fought right up to the whistle - thats the sort of spirit that wins games, not giving up the minute you concede. And even better than that was Scolari and the players' reaction - they really gave a shit today, its taken way too bloody long but they all showed they really gave a shit. Di Santo made a significant difference for me and needs to play a lot more than he does right now.
-
He must be gutted, I know I am.
-
Ecstatic, cant stand the twat. And it's starting to look more a case of when than if.
-
His back's well dodgy, spends an increased amount of games out with it each season now.
-
I know what every Chelsea fan is thinking right now
misschief replied to the wes's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Irrespective of what happens this season, I'd still never want Avram Grant. The 'fighting spirit' they had last season was just out of their united opposition of Grant and their sense of injustice imo. Time has allowed that to fade now, which is why what we're getting this season is the result of a squad totally pissed off with Kenyon & Abramovich letting them down. -
Totally agree about the whole Robinho deal because not only did we really need him at Chelsea, but from the minute the deal fell through, Scolari seems to have shrugged his shoulders and decided he really can't be arsed with us now.

Why we Lost at the Theatre of Shit ?
misschief replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Hasnt that happened before when we've played them? When I heard it yesterday it felt a bit deja vu. Not that being dragged out of the hotel for a fire alarm in any way excuses the way we played yesterday, that was about attitude not tiredness. -
Totally agree with that. Spot on.
-
Scolari only signed for two years anyway, he never planned to stay and his whole demeanour and attitude dont suggest anything different. I'd go for the younger players option. A couple of quiet seasons won't do us any harm - we're getting used to not winning stuff now anyway - so I'd do what Fergie did. We might not like him, but he knows his stuff. Bring through young players and be patient for a couple of years while they develop into a title winning side. Of course we can still have a few experienced players, just not a side full of ageing fuckers whose fires have all gone out.

Its bad enough to lose to United, but to be totally embarrassed by them is something we havent had to experience in a long time. Humiliating. Lazy, no passion, no commitment and we've run out of ideas and steam in January. Happy fucking days!
