  1. Avram's interview was excruciating to watch. I didnt know whether to piss myself laughing or cry tbh. Does "uhhh?" really pass for a vocabulary these days?
  2. Yeah we're looking a lot better atm even with the amount of first choice players out for one reason or other. Can't agree there's any hope of the title though, not that we're out of it mathematically, more that I can't see anyone living with Utd this season - and I'd have said that before todays result as well, so its not just a reaction statement.
  3. Belletti's class, such a good signing.
  4. Easy tiger. So he's not perfect........yet. I still don't think its done with intent.
  5. How did you know I had Robben in mind? I disagree he goes in to hurt players, I dont think thats the case at all. He goes in hard, but he goes for the ball. To an extent he needs to work on cleaning up his tackles, but not to the point where he starts over-thinking it.
  6. Dead right. Alex is doing exactly what we would want him to do in this situation. JT can have the luxury of recovering fully from injury this season before he comes back.
  7. Absolutely. He was just aerodynamically challenged.
  8. Course he aint a monster, he's committed. Ok he goes in hard but half his cards are a bloody joke anyway. Mikel's been class this season imo and for those prepared to have a go at him, would you rather have a player like Mikel - a little over-zealous but 100% committed or some pussy, shying away from every tackle, no bottle but a great disciplinary record?
  9. I was gonna say Drogba mustve had that op as well.
  10. Really happy to hear that. Maybe its just words, who knows? But he's saying it about the club I love and thats all that matters. Just hope he's not hit with the curse of the Chelsea strikers.
  11. Might take a bit longer than just Saturday to earn £15m but I think its a really good deal for us, certainly a better deal than most clubs could hope for in the January window - he's not even cup tied - it just sounds better and better.
  12. How have they taken the piss? Anelka's been in good form for them, he was on a fairly lengthy contract I think and without a doubt they'll be buggered without him, so of course they wanted a good price for him. We snapped him up quick, leaving them with the unenviable task of finding a replacement, plus they knew we were pretty keen to sign him, so that's also reflected in the price tag. All things considered I think we got him for a fairly reasonable price in the end and Im optimistic this could very well turn into the best bit of transfer business we've done in a while.
  13. I hear what you're saying and totally understand the frustration. Its all very demoralising, not to mention absolutely gutting, particularly when the redundancies do come and you watch colleagues' lives turned upside down. The government's an arse, goes without saying, but I have to say I've lost a lot of faith in the unions over the years as well. I don't know of anyone who actually voted in favour of Agenda for Change, yet its implemented anyway and it definitely favours the government more than nursing staff. KSF? who the hell thought it'd be a good idea to make us prove we can do the job we've been doing for god knows how long and have to justify our wages? How the hell do the unions agree to this shit? But giving up's not the answer. I know staff get fed up and go off sick - which is abusing the system and in the long-term could ultimately result in them taking away the benefit of decent sick pay for those that are genuine - but that really just makes matters worse because we're then forced to book agency staff at over-the-odds prices, taking even more money out of the service. Idealistic maybe, but no matter what chaos the government cause around me, I still go in every day and do the job to the best of my ability with the patient's best interests at heart. I'm one of the mad fools who took the job on 'to make a difference' and I'll continue to do that as long as the NHS is still standing. Bloody hell, went a bit Gwyneth Paltrow at the end there.
  14. Have to say Im well happy with this. He's already settled in the prem, in good goalscoring form and all things considered the price wasnt so bad in the end. Never really been one of favourite players attitude-wise but he's a Chelsea man now so I'm loving him already.
  15. Funny how out of the whole interview, thats the one line that really stands out. I've always thought there was something missing from Cole's game at Chelsea and maybe that's the sentence that sums it up. Not saying he hasn't done a decent enough job, but for me, his heart's not really in it.
  16. Yeah Ive looked at that as well, G600 or 900 whatever, bloody good camera on that one. Im a woman though, I dont care how much it costs, if it looks better I'll want it.
  17. It wasnt really psychological, it was physical - he simply wasnt fit to play and shouldnt have been risked.
  18. Just been having a look at that - looks good. Samsung have got some sexy phones out atm.
  19. From a player wanting regular first team football at a top four club? I dont think so.
  20. Having a good game hardly makes him a legend. His game's come on a lot but he's still prone to sloppiness and is nowhere near consistent enough for me.
  21. Essien hasn't had the same impact so far this season, whether thats a physical or psychological thing who knows? Mikel, as kamikazee like as he is at times (and I actually think he's calmed it down a bit) is turning into a very important player for us, he was really impressive before he was carded. I had a feeling Ballack would come through for us this season and the signs are good so far, he really seems to have turned his game around........in response to the doubters or Jose's departure?
  22. Samsung D600 T-mobile Due an upgrade, might have a look tonight but it'll be a Samsung again.
