One of the most injury-prone players in the world right now and he is going to a team with the worst injury record in the entire PL 14/15, yeah good luck with that Bastian. He still has the capability of being a big game player for them when fit, but I'm still not worried about this signing. Bastian only accentuates LVG's philosophy of simply holding on to the ball for the sake of it and not doing much by way of attack.

Thank fuck for that. He's a lazy 'oul bastard that Turan isn't he?
-
I say I don't want us to sign Arda 'I don't score goals' Turan and you like to imagine that I said 'don't sign anyone', just because I called you out on your stupid posts. You really are a bit slow. To the ignore list with you. At least I won't have to see anymore of your illogical and childish posts. TC desperately needs an age limit.

It would be great if Boro got promoted and he went under the tutelage of Altior, but alas. Sunderland are a pretty poorly run club in all honesty and their players seem to have the worst/laziest attitudes in the entire league. Advocaat might be a plus though. It would be fantastic if someone like Southampton saw him as a temporary replacement for Schneiderlin. Anyway, at least it's a PL loan.
-
There's talk today that he's close to Barcelona with him sitting out 5 months and joining them in 2016 after their ban. Now all we need is confirmation of dodging this bearded bullet.
-
I really hope the club sell him before we need to pay someone to take him. Use the money to increase the bid for Sterling, maybe even bid for Shaqiri, anything other than him staying here.
-
I actually hope that idiot Beasley is right this time. No more attacking midfielders who score about as much as JT please. Right now we only have Hazard who scores consistently over the season. I would say Costa (and Remy to an extent), but realistically it doesn't look like they'll ever be fit for an entire season. Griezmann please.

Cech: "I could have joined Arsenal 13 years ago...I didn't really miss much." Epic put down! :blue scalf: We'll miss you big guy!
-
No, nothing becomes something else; if you look at the definition: Practically: Adverb - Virtually, almost. Some people on here...should do some growing up.
-
I'm not for this transfer at all, but if we're actually spending £29m on, practically, a 30yr old - that is absolutely insane. Insane. Where is the value in that?!
-
And to all the Gooners currently spying in here, no, you will not win the league next year. You will never win the league as long as you have Wenger and we have Mourinho.
-
Our prospects for this transfer window would want to brighten up pretty quickly for this bitter pill to be swallowed in a hurry; and Begovic, Turan, Flopcao or more kids for Vitesse do not count. One decent, potentially WC, addition please. We want to go into the CL with some more confidence this year at least.
-
What makes people think Pogba would fit here so perfectly?! What makes people think Falcao would fit here so perfectly when he flopped at United?! Jesus, we get it, you don't rate him. I'm not writing a wall of text to convince you otherwise. It's still pointless bringing up other Southampton players going to poor teams who are in transition. Shaw went to a team with the worst injury record in the entire league, imagine if he came to the team with the best injury record? (i.e. Chelsea) Lovern went to a team who cannot defend for their dinner, BR couldn't organise a party nevermind a defence (despite how easy he claimed it was when we beat them). The jury is still out on Lallana due to injuries.

And what does that mean? Nothing. LVG and Brendan Rodgers are not Mourinho, United and Liverpool were nowhere near Chelsea. They are in heavy transition, we are almost the finished article. Schneiderlin is a player who can be effective as Matic when played in the right system. THAT is what we need in the big games in Europe. He is an excellent purchase.

Would've been great next to Matic and Fabregas. Instead, the only activity for us so far is selling a WC keeper to our rivals, buying kids for Vitesse and buying United's flops to add to the dead weight we apparently don't want to shift. Really bad window so far.

A bearded, Turkish, heavily less-talented version of Iniesta...yeah, definitely see the resemblance.
-
Definitely. They should at least match Inter's bid. All I seem to hear about is Florentina willing to pay Salah a couple thousand more a week than Inter; what do we care what Salah is paid while on loan?! He has a high enough value now so I think he should be sold permanently in case he depreciates due to form/less years on his contract.
-
Hoping he's sold to fund a top quality player and not just loaned out again, but it doesn't look like that'll happen.
-
I would love to be this oblivious.
-
Express and caughtoffside are reporting the same in the last half hour. Apparently Nathan already tweeted (and deleted) 'Welcome to Chelsea' to him...probably deleted it because it should've said 'Welcome to Vitesse'!

Well one acted like a hypocritical, sly, selfish cunt and the other did not. So that is the distinction I make between Lampard and Cech. Although, I must admit I am starting to soften to Lampard again after seeing a few of his social media posts since leaving City (which show him at Chelsea and with the CL trophy for example, like he should've be remembered) - though, I will not see him in the same light ever again. On Cech, the last thing I want to see is Cech go to Arsenal, but I don't blame him if he wants to stay in London because of his family and challenge (kind of) for trophies in the league he knows so well. However, I can blame the club for allowing it to transpire the way it has though. They've not only given Cech free reign of proceedings, which is kind-of alright I suppose, but they've also given it to Arsenal - that annoys me the most. Apparently we wanted Ox and they told us where to go, if that really is the case then we should've told them where to go as well. Cech said repeatedly that we'll work something out that is best for everyone. Well it probably would've been best if we could weaken their team in exchange. We should said something like he can only go to Arsenal if they do business with us - if they really wanted him they would've done it. Just something, anything to make them bend to our will instead of us bending to theirs. That is what I dislike the most.
-
We have to be in for him as well surely. Schneiderlin should be the absolute minimum level we should add to the midfield, anything below (e.g. Song) and really will be a disappointing transfer window.

I think someone like Schneiderlin should be the absolute minimum level we should bring in, but sadly I think you're right...

Moving to Al Ain confirms everything I have ever thought about Mikel.
