  1. There was an interview with Thierry Henry about Belgium's attacking talent atm and I recall Henry saying something like: "Michy is a pure confidence player, if he's feeling the flow of the game, he's close to the best finisher in the team, he's capable of pulling off outrageous things you wouldn't expect". Henry also said the same thing about Hazard...he was like if Eden ever becomes ruthless/selfish in front of goal, watch out opposition defenders. I feel as though If Michy is given a run of games and he gains confidence, he can get us 10+ goals this season. *Apologies for going off-topic* I wouldn't mind Morata, but I would prefer Belotti as I feel he's got more upside in his overall game.
  2. I agree with your points mate. I'm just saying that Belotti is only 23, whilst Costa is close to his physical peak at 28. Give someone like Belotti 2 seasons under Conte and he could be just as good as Costa (in terms of goal scoring impact).
  3. I don't think Belotti is a downgrade from Costa. He would cost a fortune but in terms of talent and pure goal-scoring ability, he's up there with Costa.
  4. I just hope the board back him in the transfer market. We can't afford to let another class manager leave!
  5. I honestly thought we would have signed at least ONE big name player by now. All of our rivals have strengthened (City with Bernardo, Dani Alves, Ederson), (United with Lindelof, Lukaku), even Arsenal managed to get Lacazette.
  6. According to French media sources, Bakayoko hasn't agreed to personal terms with Chelsea, he's looking for a bigger pay package.
  7. Don't worry guys. We're gonna sign Llorente (25+ million) and Keita Balde (20 million). Our strikers for the upcoming season will be Llorente, Keita and Michy. Top-4 here we come
  8. Mourinho probably just wants Lukaku to spite Chelsea and offload Rooney at the same time. Two birds, one stone. He's been known to hold grudges against players/clubs in the past.
  9. Obviously he would be influenced by Raiola as the media reports are suggesting that Chelsea didn't want to pay the full agent fee. Anyway, I still can't believe Mourinho 'wants' Lukaku. From what i've seen of him at Everton, he seems like a square peg in a round hole for Mourinho's tactics.
  10. He's not a maniac, he just wants to be paid ALOT more for staying at a club that won't be challenging for the domestic or European titles. His talent is being wasted at Arsenal, he should be at a Bayern/Juventus level of club right now..
  11. From what I've seen/heard, Madrid were still unhappy with the whole De Gea Saga and they weren't willing to sell Morata to United for less than the asking price. As for Chelsea, maybe they'd be willing to do a deal if they get a 'gentleman's agreement' for Hazard in a few seasons time.
  12. Hopefully it is bollocks...but you never know about a player's mentality and/or influences off the pitch. If he's anything like Lukaku/Sturridge, he may end up leaving Chelsea for first team football..
  13. I wouldn't say his time is over yet. The guy is a winner and always will be a winner...but his approach towards coaching doesn't fit this United squad at all. It will be interesting to see how this season progresses as United don't look anything like a top-4 challenging side
  14. He's a talented player but I feel bad for him. He does relatively well for Vitesse in 2 seasons, the club rewards him with a fringe first team role, he makes 10 appearances, then the new manager comes in and he's told to go back to the same league on loan.. At least send him to a more challenging league (like Bundesliga or Spain or France)..
  15. That's what I heard as well...he was keen on staying in England and fighting for his place at Chelsea under Conte But so far this season...he's probably been our least effective attacking midfielder
  16. Expecting a draw...unless Costa/Hazard do something special
  17. Can't sell him if nobody wants him. We might be stuck with Oscar..
  18. Chelsea legend or not, watching a Mourinho-led team get hammered will always be satisfying.
  19. He already justified his price tag with the 'wonderful' performance against Fenerbahce
  20. He'd be a good signing as our team often lacks creativity...but our first priority should be a defender
  21. Well that's what happens when the players with attacking instincts are sold off for short term gain (e.g. De Bruyne, Schurrle)

  23. Bellerin was a starter for Arsenal last season as well... In terms of talent development, Arsene's biggest success has been Laurent Koscielny.
