The fact that we paid 60 million for a player as raw as Mudryk... He was never worth half that amount. Not too different from Caicedo or Enzo, neither player was worth anywhere near 100 million.

The weirdest part is, if we're giving out PSR favors, at least get someone in return who can fill a position of need (like CB). We don't need Kellyman as there is enough attacking talent at the club already (not to mention the two South American kids coming next year).

Arteta arguably has the best defensive lineup in the PL. Saliba - Gabriel, Calafiori and they also have Timber waiting in the wings. Compare that to Chelsea and we missed out massively, we had a chance to go and get a quality CB to fill the Silva void but the club decided that Tosin was enough.

The interest in Gomez doesn't even make sense....if we're going for a new CB, it should be Chalobah + cash for Guehi.

Put it this way, if someone offers 50 million for Madueke late in the window, would the club decline the offer? I doubt it. How many credible links were there for Doue to Chelsea? All I remember seeing was Doue to pick between Bayern and PSG with Spurs as an outside shot if he was keen on a move to England.

These youth sales are good to see but the bigger problem of large wages isn't being solved by the club. We can't start the season with Lukaku/Kepa and a few others still on the books.

The Osimhen/Lukaku situation is actually funny. Napoli want a cheap deal for Lukaku but they also want to make a decent profit on Osimhen but because PSG aren't really keen anymore, they don't have a bidding war going on for him. The Gallagher situation is so much clearer, they only agreed to do a deal if we took Samu off their hands and the fact that Samu's deal fell apart last minute meant that Atletico backed out of the deal.

The problem is, he's replaceable and he was supposed to be the FFP cash cow (same as Chalobah). For whatever reasons, Gallagher and the club couldn't come to an agreement on the right contract moving forward and now the only thing left on the table is selling him before he walks out on a free transfer. As for Club Captain, I honestly haven't seen a proper captain of this team since JT retired, Cahill and Azpi tried to carry the load for a few years but since both of them have departed, which player can you look at and say that he's the captain to lead this side to at least a top 4 finish?

Because the actual captain spent the season in the treatment room (and it looks to be the same case this season....) 😆
