Someone should tell the EPL to bring forward the transfer ban against Chelsea. We don't need another player who has zero interest/commitment. Even Dortmund didn't want him permanently....and apparently they offered United another cheap loan deal. 😆

Put it this way, if someone offers 50 million for Madueke late in the window, would the club decline the offer? I doubt it. How many credible links were there for Doue to Chelsea? All I remember seeing was Doue to pick between Bayern and PSG with Spurs as an outside shot if he was keen on a move to England.

These youth sales are good to see but the bigger problem of large wages isn't being solved by the club. We can't start the season with Lukaku/Kepa and a few others still on the books.

The Osimhen/Lukaku situation is actually funny. Napoli want a cheap deal for Lukaku but they also want to make a decent profit on Osimhen but because PSG aren't really keen anymore, they don't have a bidding war going on for him. The Gallagher situation is so much clearer, they only agreed to do a deal if we took Samu off their hands and the fact that Samu's deal fell apart last minute meant that Atletico backed out of the deal.

The problem is, he's replaceable and he was supposed to be the FFP cash cow (same as Chalobah). For whatever reasons, Gallagher and the club couldn't come to an agreement on the right contract moving forward and now the only thing left on the table is selling him before he walks out on a free transfer. As for Club Captain, I honestly haven't seen a proper captain of this team since JT retired, Cahill and Azpi tried to carry the load for a few years but since both of them have departed, which player can you look at and say that he's the captain to lead this side to at least a top 4 finish?

Because the actual captain spent the season in the treatment room (and it looks to be the same case this season....) 😆

Atletico didn't want to sign the deal though as they were hoping we agreed to pay them an inflated fee for Samu to cover the deal. Not sure what the owners were supposed to do, they accepted Villa's original bid (close to 50 million) and Gallagher rejected. They then accepted Atletico's bid and Atletico decided to do medical and then not proceed. The only thing I see for Gallagher is a late transfer window deal with Spurs as Ange was keen on him for a squad role and they'll offer a low ball amount just to see how desperate we are.

Didn't we already serve a transfer ban under Roman? Think that was the time Lampard took charge and the club decided to give chances to the likes of Mount, Tammy, Tomori among others. What then happens to players on development loans?

The only other factor in this....how desperate Napoli are in terms of selling Osimhen to satisfy Conte's requirements.....and the fact that Conte specifically asked for Lukaku as his striker. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next week or so.

Put it this way, I highly doubt Samu will be moving to any of the PL's top 6. City/Liverpool/United/Spurs/Newcastle are set at striker and I don't think Samu fits with Arteta's game plan at this stage of his development.

The only club linked to Sterling is Juventus and they won't pay his wages. I wouldn't be surprised if those Madueke to Newcastle links came true as he would be 'easier' to shift than Sterling on those ridiculous wages.

He may have settled down better at Arsenal, knowing that his mate Zinchenko was already there and there would be less pressure on him as a backup winger for Saka/Martinelli.

He could of formed that opinion of Mudryk from watching most of his games last season (has the pace/acceleration to get past defenders but doesn't know what to do after that).

Well I doubt Gallagher failed a medical considering how fit he is....wonder if it's Atletico playing hard ball on the Felix deal, making sure they get it sealed. The previous reports were that they had already agreed a deal with Guerra from Valencia and then Gallagher agreed to move to Atletico. Hopefully for Gallagher's sake, the deal goes through.

He still has to agree to go there. The interesting part is, there hasn't been any real rumors of Felix back to Chelsea....and then as soon as we get a Mendes client on the books, it's all open. Wonder if Mendes said you can only have Neto if you help out Atletico with Felix 😆

The biggest thing is, Jackson - Samu - Guiu never made sense. Why would you have 3 young strikers trying to develop at the same club at the same time? Ideally you want that experienced striker alongside Jackson and then you decide what to do with Guiu (if Maresca wants to play 2 up front).

So that means they can't afford Alvarez and Gallagher without a significant sale (which was supposed to be Samu).
