  1. They've looked pretty average this season without Rodri in midfield and KDB doing his usual magic passes for the attackers.
  2. Palace and Forest showed that we are nowhere near the top sides yet. One big win vs Wolves and a heart-attack performance vs Brighton aside, we haven't been that good this season. If United hammer us, and then Arsenal hammer us (Havertz will be out to prove a point once again), we're back to square 1.
  3. It is at Old Trafford and they don't have Ten Hag in charge anymore, I'm expecting a convincing win for United. 3-1 sounds about right.
  4. It was expected, when you rotate most of the side and play reserve guys like Disaster & Badiashile together, you can't really expect a win. I knew as soon as my mate showed me the lineups that Newcastle were gonna win the game.
  5. I would say a combination of Neto/Sancho/Palmer/Madueke/Brazilian wonderkid would be enough for the AM roles. Chuks and Mudryk should be gone and the rumors around Nkunku aren't surprising, probably wants regular minutes to get into the National team.
  6. If United do get Amorim, he's going to bring his best players with him.
  7. To be fair, they were the ones that originally wanted Mudryk and he's basically a bench player at Chelsea right now 😃
  8. KDH would only be sold if Maresca gets sacked, he's just a backup player anyway, brought in as Maresca wanted to bring one of his favorites with him.
  9. You would have to take a significant loss on Enzo for that to happen. No-one is going to pay the 110+ million that we paid Benfica...😆
  10. Exactly, I always questioned how Real Madrid would have a balanced side without a player like Kroos in midfield. The French duo and Valverde are great at most things but definitely not creativity.
  11. Well...KDB was interested in a move elsewhere to finish his career, Saudi offered him huge money and City will need someone to fill that playmaker role.. You put everything together and the easiest headline is: "City want Palmer back" 😆
  12. He needs a JT/Cahill type next to him, feel like the talent is there and he won't be helped by having no real leaders alongside him.
  13. Probably not for long as Madueke doesn't seem to have much consistency.
  14. In the next few weeks, we got Newcastle, Man United and Arsenal. Will be interesting to see if we're able to get more than 3 points
  15. As long as we don't get hammered by 3 or more goals. Will be interesting to see how Maresca sets up for this one, draw wouldn't be a bad outcome at their home ground.
  16. There's been some pretty good 'english' players who have starred in the premier league, we used to have a number of those guys in the World XI and other lineups over the years. Lamps, Gerrard, Rio, JT, Ashley Cole, Scholes, Beckham, Shearer to name a few...😆
  17. Will be interesting to see what the club does (if this is true) as City will definitely be looking for a playmaker to help fill the KDB void
  18. If Nkunku leaves at some point in the future, it would be because he's keen on a new challenge at a top side (and we would have failed to be decently competitive and gotten back to the days where we would actually look forward to playing UCL football every other season). What does that have to do with Jackson, he's a young striker looking to develop, if Nkunku gets back to his Leipzig form, he will be starting most games. Pretty sure Maresca mentioned that he would take it slow with Neto, Nkunku, Fofana due to their injury histories.
  19. I don't think we have "years" to sort it out though. When you spend 100+ million on a midfielder, you expect instant results on the pitch.
  20. Just watch Saka/Havertz have an absolute field day against our defense. 🤬 I miss the days of actually competing against Arsenal and beating them! Now the best case we can hope for is a 2-2 draw or an absolute belting.
  21. Thats why alot of the pundits were shocked that we were so eager to pay his release clause at Benfica. He's a good midfielder on his day but he's not really a DM or AM that can properly influence the game. Feel like the opposition know that he's not really up for a physical battle in midfield.
  22. Would take Ederson/Alisson/Courtois ahead of those 5 any day of the week. Even Raya should be worth 30+ million right now with the way he is playing. Donnarumma is wasting his career at PSG, he should be at one of the top clubs competing for UCL titles etc.
  23. At this point he's gonna have to follow the likes of Loftus-Cheek and go to a league with less intensity, maybe a new start will help him play week in week out. Such a shame as well, would have been nice to see an academy player as part of the first team leadership group for years to come!
  24. Feel like that's the reason why he was linked to a few PL clubs in the transfer window, particularly Newcastle with Eddie keen on his pacey wingers! I just don't see Madueke taking that next step and becoming a consistent 7/10 player week in week out until he figures out when he needs to pass/cross the ball and when it's better to take on the man and go for glory.
  25. Looked like Sanchez lost all confidence after conceding that soft opening goal, not sure why he decided to rush out in the first place? And then the 2nd goal, my god, why would you give the ball to the opposition player running at your goal, pressing up like a mad man. The BBC webpage had the best commentary on the half time whistle: Something like how on earth is this game not 7-6
