  1. I just don't see Mata being Chelsea's captain. I feel a more intimidating person is needed. Look at United, City, Arsenal & Spurs...all of their captains are intimidating CB's, they know how to control their players, they demand respect..and they look like born leaders like Terry. Mata is a great player but he just seems a bit too quiet and friendly for the role of captain.
  2. Didn't someone call Diouf a sewer rat....says alot about the guy.
  3. Why don't we give Sturridge a chance at CF, like a short run of consistent games? People say Sturridge is selfish, he doesn't look up often enough, so what, he's still a talented striker who knows how to score. If Sturridge simply sucks at CF, then let him go and bring in a new striker like Remy or whoever else is available for around 15 million..
  4. This. I'm not against the signing of Neymar..but we could spend his potentially large transfer fee* and fix our midfield problem for the next decade. *I'm assuming Neymar will go for a ridiculous fee..cause if Moura went for 40+ million to PSG...then Neymar will surely cost in the region of 55 million..
  5. Is there any confirmation about Dembele's fitness?
  6. Inter Milan isn't that bad. They got a good squad, young talented manager & one of Italy's better youth academies. They are just going through a transition period. Anyway, back to Paulinho...if Corinthians want to sell him, hopefully we get him for the right price.
  7. Would have loved if Essien was made Captain or Vice-Captain but that chapter has closed. My picks would be Cech or as a long-shot, David Luiz.
  8. Don't think Neymar will be the best player in the world until Messi is close to retirement and/or he proves himself in a top european league.
  9. I don't see any problems with the selection of Fernando (20) or Sandro (23). Both of them are young, talented DM/CM's who are getting the chance to bond with their international team-mates. I still don't know why Thiago Neves is being selected for the national team, he hasn't lived up to the hype since 2007/08.
  10. I honestly didn't see Spurs beating United. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Spurs beat us, although I expecting a Chelsea victory. :blue scalf:
  11. http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/37265_corinthians_dismiss_paulinho_to_chelsea_rumours.html Well, Corinthians doesn't want to let him go...
  12. I actually support what Terry did to Sanchez. That guy is a little pest and sometimes as a defender, you gotta play a little rough.
  13. That Germany v Sweden match reminds me of Newcastle's comeback against Arsenal. The look on Wenger's face after the match was priceless.
  14. This. I think he'll be a LFC player sooner rather than later. Rodgers needs a striker & he's willing to give youth a chance, perfect scenario for Sturridge in my opinion.
  15. Well, according to various sources, Paulinho will be starting for Brazil against Japan today. Brazil XI to face Japan: Diego Alves, Adriano, Luiz, Silva, Castan, Paulinho, Ramires, Kaka, Oscar, Neymar, Hulk.
  16. I agree, I think Anelka moving on was a good thing for Chelsea FC, when you look at the bigger picture. We needed an injection of talented youth into our first team and that's exactly what we got in the form of Hazard, Oscar, Moses, KdB, Romeu..
  17. Don't see anything wrong with Malouda's treatment. He had the chance to leave but decided to stay for the money.
  18. Moyes was actually pleased with the Rodwell transfer. He said Rodwell's transfer to City was mutually beneficial. And anyway, Moyes still has that youngster called Ross Barkley, who has been touted as even better than Rodwell..
  19. He's a good defensive midfielder, not the best out there but he'll be a useful addition to the squad. With Romeu's future at Chelsea unclear, bringing in someone that can compete with Mikel & Ramires for a starting role isn't such a bad idea. http://youtu.be/V3LlU1mHFF4
  20. Time for Torres to show he is the man to lead the line at Chelsea. If he keeps up the work rate throughout the whole season, and scores around 20 goals, I got no problem with Torres being the man at Chelsea. I just hope Sturridge is 100% match fit as soon as possible, cause I don't want to see Torres burn out.
  21. How do you know that Lukaku isn't good enough? He's got more potential than Sturridge and he could easily become a class striker once he gets used to EPL style of football.
  22. Money is money. Always good to see Chelsea expanding its horizons.
  23. He's not ready to play regularly in the EPL for Chelsea. If we sign Herrmann, it'll just ruin his development cause he'll be on the bench like Moses, Romeu.
  24. Being massively impressive at Vitesse doesn't mean that much. I want to see Van Aanholt play consistently in England before we think about letting go of Ashley Cole.
