I was surprised when Alex left the club, he was a top defender who knew how to strike a free-kick!...the only thing he lost was a bit of pace & he was made the scapegoat of AvB's high-line problems at Chelsea.

Dzeko isn't a better player...but in terms of goalscoring ability & age, he'd be a good pickup for Chelsea IF City were willing to sell him.

Pato has always had injury issues, its part of the reason why United & Arsenal decided not to sign him, back in 2007 when he was the next big thing in Brazil.

That's only one person on this forum who for some reason loves David Villa, even with Chelsea's policy for over-30's. Bringing in David Villa is an okay short-term option IF he agrees to take low wages. I'd prefer Chelsea to sign a 24-27 year old forward, someone who will hit their peak sooner rather than later and start firing Chelsea to even more success.

I personally think Mikel has taken his game to another level with Ramires playing alongside him. If they both keep improving...I can't wait to see the Rambo--Mikel partnership in 2-3 seasons!
