United isn't crap because of their injuries this season....they are crap because Moyes doesn't know how to get the best out of the players. Fergie had the same players, similar injuries throughout the season...and he managed to win the title.
-
All the players you listed are elite prospects (other than Smalling) in their respective positions. Flanaghan, Jones & Nastasic were all considered to be 'wonderkids' throughout their youth...and Stones has a mature head for someone that is only 19 years old. Kalas is a decent player....but he is NOT an elite prospect. The best he can hope for at Chelsea is a squad place like Bertrand
-
I reckon José wanted to take a look at De Bruyne this season...hence why he was sold in January...rather than the end of last season. It's unfortunate that KdB is no longer a Chelsea player....best case scenario...we could have had: LW: Hazard, Schurrle RW: Willian, one of the on-loan players CAM: Oscar, De Bruyne
-
Completely forgot Kalas is still a Chelsea player....what a waste of a season for him. We should of loaned him out to a Championship club in January...
-
Costa is just an average striker, having a great season with Atletico. This is the first time in his career that he's managed to score more than 10 goals in the Spanish League... I'd much rather have a young Lukaku leading the line next season
-
A decent striker would have tested the goalkeeper from that range....but Torres, as usual couldn't even get the header on target.
-
Delighted for Schurrlé. We win and Arsenal lose to Stoke, simply a great day..
-
I still think we should have made a bid on Yohan Cabaye. Experienced international midfielder, performed consistently in the EPL, knows how to make accurate short & long passes....and he can hit a sweet long shot.. PSG got a bargain at 19 million euros. I trust Mourinho...but Lamps isn't getting any younger and Ramires isn't the answer for the pivot. Hopefully we strengthen the midfield at the end of this season
-
Delighted to see Shaw in the English squad Makes perfect sense...even if he doesn't go Brazil, he'll be capped & ready to fill the void left by Ashley Cole after the World Cup.
-
DID YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME? Mikel did nothing, other than a few backward passes.
-
Poor result...could have killed the tie with a 2nd away goal
-
To be honest, United should have at least drawn with Olympiakos.....just goes to show how inept Moyes is.
-
Good to see Norwich win....they don't deserve to be relegated this season!
-
He has been pretty awful of recent times. Now I wish we had kept hold of De Bruyne...to play the backup CAM role for the rest of this season. We could of sold him at the end of the season..rather than January
-
Great win. Needed the three points to stay top
-
It's disgusting because he doesn't need 300k a week. There should be a wage limit of say 250k a week for all players (unless you are the best in the world).
-
I think José wanted Rooney...there's no question about that....just think about it: We needed a striker capable of scoring 20-25 goals, someone that would put fear into the opposition, someone that could provide that moment of brilliance...and Rooney fits that profile like a glove. Yes, he is temperamental but it's the managers job to keep the player in line...and that's something Moyes has failed to do at United.
-
Would love to see Cavani or Ibra at Chelsea It would be a massive upgrade to our current frontline
-
We're going to play without a keeper?
-
If you don't use park the bus tactics, Mikel is useless Hopefully Mikel isn't here next season
-
City's attack is the best in the EPL in terms of quality & depth of talent Just look at their striking options: Aguero, Negredo, Dzeko & Jovetic And look at our striking options: Ageing Eto'o, Past-it Torres & the average Ba they deserved to win...will be surprised if they don't win the PL title this year
-
Was expecting to see Cole start the game...looks like he won't be signing an extension As for the lineup...would of been interesting to see 1 or 2 youngsters (e.g. Kalas, Aké) get some time on the pitch
-
Yes, you can blame him...because he has played RB for a number of seasons...he should have learnt how to close down crosses by now.. All I see him do is quickly put his arms behind his back and then just stand there..
-
If Fulham do get relegated, Meulensteen would have been the perfect manager to blood in the youngsters & help them gain promotion.
-
I'm sure he'll get over the injuries because he's 23..but if he has spinal problems, then that's a serious concern for the future
