I just don't like the fact that we have an ex-Spurs youth captain in our first team.

You would think AC Milan have someone lined up to replace him as he rejected the contract extension they offered earlier in the season. They want 20, we offered less, will probably end up settling around that 16-ish mark.

Seemed very much like a mix and match lineup by Tuchel Good for us that Madueke's in form, hopefully gets us a nice transfer fee

That depends on Arsenal and Liverpool's transfers. If either of them were able to pull off the Isak transfer, that would be the best signing of the window.

Imagine if we were able to pull off Felix in the other direction and getting the Benfica CB, that would be a solid transfer!

After seeing Werner (even though he did help the side in that UCL run) and Nkunku flop here, I wouldn't be going after another Bundesliga striker...particularly for that sort of fee.

On this one occasion, I hope Liverpool get him. Don't see how getting Ekitike helps us at all. 3 young strikers on the books and Palmer to score 20+ next season? Its a shame that Brentford striker chose United, he would have been a useful option, PL proven.

Its funny how someone was pointing out on twitter that if you look at his stats from last season in the league (and take his name out), no club would pay 100 million for that. 6 goals, 5 assists in the league.

So we have 4 GK's, 1 of them is keen for a move after a good French League loan, 2 of them aren't good enough to be first choice and the 4th I assume is the young keeper we got from Belgium (who is still multiple years away from being ready). 😆

Seems like we're just hoarding young talents, hoping that 1-2 develop into useful players. Similar case with Veiga, was brought in to be the squad LB, then fell out with Maresca, went on loan, Juventus don't want him on permanent and now we're stuck with another player that needs to be sold or loaned out.

Well...Gittens was in City's academy Palmer, Lavia, Delap, even Tosin was there.

There's no way we're bringing that Brazilian wonderkid, that young Portuguese winger from Sporting and then keeping both Madueke and Sancho (assuming we make the loan permanent for 25 million). If there's a decent bid on Madueke that gets us a solid profit, I see the club selling.

I'd be shocked if Gyokeres chose us over Arsenal.

Just for comparisons, Hugo's teammate who went to City in January (Marmoush) had an xG of about 8.8 and ended up scoring 13 non-penalty goals. The last thing we need is two project strikers up front battling each other for first team minutes in Hugo & Nico. If we're really going down the young striker route, then get Delap, at least he's had a season to settle into PL football and managed to get to 10 non penalty goals in a pretty average Ipswich side.
