That means another season of watching Sanchez make errors in goal and fail to pass the ball out of the back but everything will be fine as we will have 60% possession of the ball in midfield and hope that Palmer pulls out magical tricks.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sanchez is our keeper on opening day of the season.
Get the feeling that we won't get Maignan unless one of the existing keepers is sold/moved on.
Think its more to do with those players not really living up to the hype throughout their time at Chelsea, rather than the UCL win.
Pulisic had his moments of pure class at Chelsea.
You can probably add Nkunku to that list now, came with so much hype and seems to have regressed quite a bit this season.
Its a shame that half the names on that list are out of reach for us.
Realistically, best case scenario we somehow convince Villa to sell Rogers......or its back the youth and go for Gittens/Fofana.
He was one of the brighter talents in the French league and the transfer fee was around 30 million.
The problem for Enzo will always be that inflated price tag. As soon as he has a run of games where he isn't having that big impact, he'll be called a flop.
This just sounds like a player with a massive ego, publicly stated that he was disappointed at not going to the CWC and then days later, the club allows him to go the CWC.
I'd take him back at Chelsea, think he was our youth captain a few years ago, 24 years old, would fit in with the current age profile of Caicedo, Enzo, Cucurella, Palmer, Reece.
However, I get the feeling Spurs/Arsenal may get him before us.
I wonder if its the lack of interest in our first team GK's that is stopping us from getting Maignan?
Haven't seen any decent links for Sanchez or Jorgensen and both of them can't stick around as #2 next season....
They rejected a decent offer for him and they are holding out for the fee they want (closer to 50 million)
From what I've seen in their transfer history, they tend to sell players for decent profits every season as they are pretty good at picking up replacement talents. Dembele, Pulisic, Haaland, Bellingham, Sancho being the biggest sales in the past few seasons.
