  1. Some fun Chelsea training video I saw. Hazard volleys into the net http://talksport.com/football/chelsea-fc-video-eden-hazard-thibaut-courtois-and-nathaniel-chalobah-beat-david-luiz
  2. Speaking of strikers, Conte also had a few really nice words about our current starting trio of forwards. “Pedro? He has qualities of absolute excellence. He’s perfect for the 3-4-3.” “As for Diego Costa, Diego is one of the best strikers in the world. For us it’s not just important that he’s a goalscorer, but that he works for the team. The progression in his behaviour is thanks to his application. He realised he had to grow in terms of his temperament.” “Eden Hazard? Eden’s talent is beyond question, he’s a world class player and a great lad. He has a surprising maturity for his age. He’s already built a family and he’s only 25.” But the highest praise was saved for none other than Victor Moses, whose level of skill has left Conte dumbfounded that the wing-back had been overlooked by some many other coaches previously. “I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp. Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover seventy meters of the pitch.” “I find it incredible that someone like him has been underestimated.” -Antonio Conte; source: Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia
  3. True. That's why I think next season we should go all out for dybala or Griezmann. A goalscoring left-footer who is hardworking and makes runs in behind the defence. That way it will be suicide to double mark hazard and rough him up because of the equal threat on the other side. On the other hand, I think Hazard was a little tired yesterday and he wasn't as selfish as he was in the last few games. He didn't shoot as much or wasn't as direct as before but I'm sure it's the international break that caused it. He needs to keep up that ruthlessness, desire to score and fear factor of being dangerous so that he'll be as unpredictable as possible.
  4. 6 - Eden Hazard created six goalscoring chances today, his most in a PL match since May 2015 ( 8 vs Sunderland). Generous . https://t.co/h2ArjZLvfq — OptaJoe (@OptaJoe)
  5. A Chelsea fan that never does well in fantasy football is trying to jinx all Chelsea's Premier League rivals.
  6. Very true. We never played the same level of attacking football once Schurrle wasn't playing anymore. No one making runs in behind the defence is a hindrance to attacking football.
  7. https://theringer.com/manchester-united-manager-jose-mourinho-hasnt-changed-with-game-908ae3a8b101#.ck96rxna6 A fantastic article on Mourinhos lack of evolution/flexibility which has caught up with him.
  8. So there's a possibility that both of our only good goalscorers will miss our next match because of international injury. Just great
  9. Azpi's our puyol(Azpi is the same height as puyol), he's our lahm and he has been a defensive rock and has more defensive actions than any other player since we changed to a back 3. If short Mascherano can play for Barcelona against tall ronaldo and co, win trophies and be a linchpin because of his excellent tackling, then Azpi can play for us because he's as good a tackler if not better.
  10. Has a great goal + assists per game ratio this season. 2 goals, 4 assists in 4 matches, one as a late sub.
  11. We're 2nd after mancity fell against Middlesbrough. On the 90 points mark which is title winning form. APLT explanation below
  12. I found this post on Facebook about what happened to hazard last season. "To me it's perfectly simple, and I never bought into the criticism of Hazard. Jose ran him into the ground when the guy needed a rest, when he wasn't tip-top physically Jose played him and played him and played him and demanded the same as he does with all his wide players, that they run backwards almost as much as forwards, or even more. The more he played the more his body suffered the more he put in poor performances the more he lost confidence the more Jose didn't have a clue how to manage him and just kept on running him into the ground, demanding even more effort. A player knows his body better than anyone, and a player like Hazard, who runs at players and takes them on, needs to feel comfortable physically more than anyone, he needs to have that confidence to skip past players. There was the game at Leicester, Jose's final game, where Jose wanted Hazard to carry on, he looked disgusted on the touchline, as if the fault lay with Hazard, as if Hazard had betrayed him, this was a player that had played and played and played. Jose wouldn't take him off so Hazard forced the issue, and quite rightly in my opinion. He was carrying god knows how many knocks and he couldn't carry on, and he had tried, he had tried throughout the whole season. Guus, a calmer and more experienced head, gave Hazard six weeks off. Look what happened, he came back a different player, scored a brilliant goal at Anfield and came on for the second-half against Tottenham with us trailing 2-0. The rest as they say is history. People said he should have done it earlier in the season and saved Jose. I had every sympathy for Hazard and none for Jose. A player needs understanding, and I'm afraid Jose showed none whatsoever." And looking at how Mourinho is already looking for fighters in manutd to play through injury, alienating luke shaw, this is looking more true by the day.
  13. We've seen top team managers fail at 3 centerbacks system in the league (lv,, Rodgers etc) so you're right that I wouldn't have been concerned at all if we weren't using 3 at the back. But I shouldn't be because if there's anyone that knows this system and it's weaknesses and strengths, it's Conte.
  14. Yeah, Middlesbrough don't have a lot of their players going for internationals, so the coach has two weeks with his players to find a solution to play against the 3-4-3 system. Hopefully they fail, but I feel we will win because we've been good against the smaller teams except against Swansea where we should have still won if the referee spotted a blatant foul against Cahill.
  15. I'm not convinced, I think this will be our biggest test.
  16. He was so good against lukaku, can cope physically against anyone and is a quality Passer. By far the best passer in our starting 11
  17. Wow. I feel like crying. I've never been happy when people were satisfied with hazard being unselfish, I've been begging for so long for Hazard to stop being shy, stop showing mercy to defenders, get the ball, dribble past your marker and shoooot!!!! Seeing him take the responsibility and not pass it on to another is what was missing and seeing him do what I've always wanted is pure joy.
  18. This guy doesn't just have technique, he runs a lot for the team up and down that left flank. I think he even covered more distance than kante
