  2. 14 - Diego Costa has been involved in more goals than any other PL player this season (10 goals, 4 assists). Force. What a performance from costa. Hazard hasn't been on his dribbling best in the last two matches so costa has been creating a lot of chances for us. Costa should have had 3 assists in the last 2 matches alone!!!!
  3. I'm willing to give Kenedy a chance, he's played leftback for us a couple of times before, so the wing-back position should be easier for him. He has recovery speed too. The reason I am cautious during the January transfer window, it's hard to find quality buys. I don't want us to buy average Joes, unless suddenly a quality leftback becomes available we should plan for the summer instead.
  4. Moses is not going for African cup of nations, Nigeria didn't qualify. But we have even Willian who is defensive enough to play that role. I hear we are recalling Kenedy from his Watford loan. So he can easily slot into that wing-back role as a sub for Alonso. The Kenedy recall is the only reason why I realized we don't need to delve into the market in january.
  5. It will be fantastic to get a right winger who makes off the ball runs in behind the defence like Pedro but is a better finisher. But without Champions League football it will be hard to get the right quality we need to improve that position so I'm hoping we get the Champions League spot at the end of the season, then we go all out for absolute quality in Griezmann, dybala or even mahrez (last season player of the year) so that Hazard being double marked is taken completely out of the equation. If it's possible a quicker leftback who can defend and cross like Alonso will really settle fears on Alonso's lack of pace. But so far, we can cope without anyone in january
  6. True. That time I criticized Conte for our lack of pressing when we were using that 4-2-3-1, because sitting back will require hazard and Willian to follow the fullbacks everytime which isn't good especially with only 2 centerbacks to cover for the eventual crosses. But now with this 3-4-3, if we sit back Alonso and Moses mark those on the wings, while the runs in behind can be easily tracked by dedicated defenders in Azpilicueta and cahill who are used to defending instead of Hazard. That closes the space on the flanks, and because we are more compact,(5 at the back with Moses and Alonso tucked close to the centerbacks) we always have 3 defenders to deal with the incoming crosses which is better than the 4-1-4-1 before with only 2. The only real weakness is when a long ball is switched quickly from one end of the pitch to the other flank (Middlesbrough did this in the beginning of the last match to put ramirez through) But this will require an inch perfect long range pass with speed on the pass combined with a perfect first touch to put us in real danger. Any tactics that forces the opponent to have to play long balls is a good one. Our defense is far more solid and compact than it ever was in the beginning.
  7. Some fun Chelsea training video I saw. Hazard volleys into the net http://talksport.com/football/chelsea-fc-video-eden-hazard-thibaut-courtois-and-nathaniel-chalobah-beat-david-luiz
  8. Speaking of strikers, Conte also had a few really nice words about our current starting trio of forwards. “Pedro? He has qualities of absolute excellence. He’s perfect for the 3-4-3.” “As for Diego Costa, Diego is one of the best strikers in the world. For us it’s not just important that he’s a goalscorer, but that he works for the team. The progression in his behaviour is thanks to his application. He realised he had to grow in terms of his temperament.” “Eden Hazard? Eden’s talent is beyond question, he’s a world class player and a great lad. He has a surprising maturity for his age. He’s already built a family and he’s only 25.” But the highest praise was saved for none other than Victor Moses, whose level of skill has left Conte dumbfounded that the wing-back had been overlooked by some many other coaches previously. “I could see his potential from the first days of the summer training camp. Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover seventy meters of the pitch.” “I find it incredible that someone like him has been underestimated.” -Antonio Conte; source: Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia
  9. True. That's why I think next season we should go all out for dybala or Griezmann. A goalscoring left-footer who is hardworking and makes runs in behind the defence. That way it will be suicide to double mark hazard and rough him up because of the equal threat on the other side. On the other hand, I think Hazard was a little tired yesterday and he wasn't as selfish as he was in the last few games. He didn't shoot as much or wasn't as direct as before but I'm sure it's the international break that caused it. He needs to keep up that ruthlessness, desire to score and fear factor of being dangerous so that he'll be as unpredictable as possible.
  10. 6 - Eden Hazard created six goalscoring chances today, his most in a PL match since May 2015 ( 8 vs Sunderland). Generous . https://t.co/h2ArjZLvfq — OptaJoe (@OptaJoe)
  11. A Chelsea fan that never does well in fantasy football is trying to jinx all Chelsea's Premier League rivals.
  12. Very true. We never played the same level of attacking football once Schurrle wasn't playing anymore. No one making runs in behind the defence is a hindrance to attacking football.
  13. https://theringer.com/manchester-united-manager-jose-mourinho-hasnt-changed-with-game-908ae3a8b101#.ck96rxna6 A fantastic article on Mourinhos lack of evolution/flexibility which has caught up with him.
  14. So there's a possibility that both of our only good goalscorers will miss our next match because of international injury. Just great
  15. This is another article I found that explains why Trump won. It isn't about racism, many Americans that voted for Trump aren't, there were many other issues that made them go for Trump despite all the controversial statements.
  16. First of all, I'm not a gay hater. I respect their values, it's not easy for them. Fair enough that if you work for the government you must abide by the law Obama and the 9 supreme Court judges alone enacted on the country. They would be better off working in an environment that they feel comfortable with or in another state which didn't abide by the Obama law like Indiana. Something happened in a state in US where a gay couple wanted to buy a cake, but they knew that the owner of the store is a devout Christian. They went to order the cake and requested they write on the cake: "F**k Jesus, I'm gay" Now why would they do that except to provoke someone, so the owner didn't oblige and he was sued for millions and accused of being anti-gay. The point I'm making is there is a huge flaw in the law if that's what it takes to make millions, it's complete rubbish. It's not easy for gays but you don't need to demean others just to raise up the gays. The last line is another reason why Trump won, but that's a topic for another time.
  17. I didn’t see this before. This is a fantastic video and anyone who didn't watch it should try. The left have gotten lazy, they don't want to debate issues anymore. Anyone who is against their views is a racist, sexist, bigot, islamophobic and that is the end of the discussion. There is clearly an immigration problem in America, and Trump said he's going to build a wall, he's going to deport ILLEGAL immigrants. Instead of democrats to come out with a better plan to an obvious problem, like strengthening the borders or have checks, they call everyone that wants the immigration problem solved racist, bigot, islamophobic and mention all those "phobic" and "ist" terms while completely ignoring that there is a problem in the first place. I was struggling to find her ideas on what she wanted to do, the change to current problems and all I heard was "at least I'm better than Trump" and that isn't good enough. Then to make matters worse, they throw away a honest and passionate candidate like Bernie Sanders (who I like) and threw all their support behind clinton (proved from the email leaks on how the DNC influenced things) Clinton who called Trump supporters deplorables. What was she thinking?? How is she going to convert those supporters over to her side after insulting them like that?? This is a woman who told wall Street in a speech to speak differently in public from what you want to do in private. How can the people trust her?? She receives donations from Saudi Arabia, wall Street corporate organisations and many other dodgy firms and people like George Soros. How can you vote and feel that she is the one running the country and not those dodgy firms and people?? All these people protesting should direct their anger to their party leadership, who stole a candidate like Bernie Sanders who would have fought for their values honestly.
  18. I'm a Christian. I don't care whether gay marriage is legal or not, I think people should be happy with what they feel like doing with their lives. What I don't like is when a clerk of a state or counties exercises his or her religious rights by not approving what he/she doesn't feel good doing, he/she is sued and sympathy will always fall on the side of the "oppressed". What I don't like is if I own a business store and I refuse to sell to a customer for personal reasons, I am sued for being anti-gay. That is not fair. People should respect the religious freedom which the Constitution clearly states. I've seen protests everywhere, people are burning American flags, destroying cars, beating old people who voted Trump and are justifying it using this note that Clinton won the popular vote so the election wasn't fair. But she won by just about 200,000 votes and people forget that 17 million people voted in just California and New-York alone, where she won about 70 percent of the vote in the two states. So if people want only the popular vote to count then damn, any candidate just needs to campaign in the populous states and forget about the needs of the rest of the other states in America. That's complete rubbish and that's why electoral votes were created to prevent votes skewed in people's favor like that.
  19. Trump just won Florida. That is huge!!!!! And Trump is winning in Michigan and Wisconsin. If he wins those two and keeps Iowa, Trump is president. This is unbelievable
