  1. His finishing is very good. I love players who swerve the ball round like messi and robben. He should come and teach hazard how to do it more often, it'll make hazard score easily (hazard gets into the box more than anyone but needs to dribble again before he can shoot because he can't swerve the ball from tight spaces and angles) That is what we should aim for in finding talent (technique, balance, strength on the ball, dribbling, finishing /passing) finishing for attackers and passing for midfielders. All he needs is for Mourinho to grill the mental parts of his game. No player will make it in Barcelona youth team with the technique of lukaku, I don't know why many Chelsea fans I know don't see the importance of this.
  2. Please make it happen Mourinho!!! We don't need a third striker at all, he can play right wing and striker and is a better finisher than everyone in our team except costa and Remy
  3. Is his passing good?(Matic level or Ramires level??) I've never really observed it
  4. He's the type of physical box to box midfielder that Mourinho always had till he came back to Chelsea. Essien, Khedira, etc we have ramires but he's not as good a passer or as physical as any box to box midfielder he's had before
  5. Could he be the attacking right winger we've been looking for??? I never realized how good his left-foot was
  6. Azpilicueta and Willian showed everyone how to win Mourinho over. Work hard off the ball. Even if you don't know how to do any aspect of the game, if you consistently show desire to come back to defend, Mourinho will give you chances and then you can show your other aspects of the game. Anyone that doesn't show fighting spirit and loyalty will never make it under Mourinho. I said this in the Musonda thread and it seemed like a joke but its real.
  7. Mourinho will get his physical box to box player and his left footed rightwinger eventually. In all his other teams(2005chelsea, intermilan, Madrid) One Att fullback, experienced back four DM and physical box to box midfielder Left-footed and right-footed wingers Through pass Am Influential striker Attacking fullbacks - cole, maicon, marcelo and now ivanovic Dm & physical box to box - Makelele & essien/lamps, motta & stankovic, Alonso & Khedira and now Matic & ??? Vertical passing AM - joecole/lamps, Sneijder, ozil and now fabregas Right-footed and left-footed wingers - joecole & robben, eto & pandev, cRonaldo & dimaria, and now hazard & ??? Influential unselfish striker - drogba, Milito, benzema, and now costa We're missing two pieces of the Mourinho team puzzle imo. He'll eventually get it.
  8. I actually prefer him in midfield. He seems more natural there than at left back
  9. Reus is more creative, (more key passes and vertical through passes per game) reus takes freekicks, corners, long range shooter, and better crossing. Griezmaan is a better finisher, has great movement like Schurrle to always get chances, is a left-footed player who can cut in from the right and shoot like hazard does on the left. They have about the same strength. Both haven't played on the right wing much so I don't know if they'll suffer like (Mata, KdB, schurlle, Salah) whose all were forced to play in their least favorite attacking position.
  10. Let's hope he shows some desire in defensive duties and gets far stronger than mceachran ever was. Or he'll never play in his favorite deep midfield position under Mourinho.
  11. I liked your post because of this statement. It's so annoying seeing a lot of footballers strolling around when their teammates have the ball instead of making runs to create space for creating chances.
  12. Hazard has this attitude of not taking the shot when he has the chance, in fact fabregas too and almost our whole team pass pass pass pass pass around the box instead of being direct like we used to be in the past years which is so annoying sometimes.
  13. He has better off the ball movement
  14. He should develop his off the ball movement and he'll be some player...
  15. I didn't realize how good a passer colckett is...
  16. People underestimate size in midfield with quality in possession. We used to have essien, ballack and lampard in midfield or Tiago, Makelele, lampard. Now Juventus have used the same model of having big physical quality passing midfielders and are dominating big teams like we used to in 2005
  17. This The lack of options when oscar and fabregas lost form and Remy always getting injured when costa couldn't play killed our momentum. If we had a central midfielder like koke we would have not felt fabregas impact on our passing game. If we had reus on the right wing, Willian could come to the middle and replace oscar smoothly in the 2nd part of the season. Then we had to use drogba because Remy and Costa couldn't stay fit. Annoying really
  18. Has very good movement and energetic like costa. Also a team player
  19. That's the spirit. The forum would be boring if everybody just agreed anyways
  20. His family has finally settled in London. It's going to be much harder for him to do foreign adventures now
  21. Considering he got injured 5mins after coming on at halftime in one of the 26 appearances, that's a pretty good goalscoring return with only one penalty taken.
  22. Why I compared the two was because people say RLC is our best academy player while I say Aké is better. It doesn't mean RLC won't get to be the best maybe in future, but I value technical quality in young players more than anything because it's hard to develop that aspect in players and I think Aké is better in that aspect.
  23. His finishing is very good. I love players who swerve the ball round like messi and robben. He should come and teach hazard how to do it more often, it'll make hazard score easily (hazard gets into the box more than anyone but needs to dribble again before he can shoot because he can't swerve the ball from tight spaces and angles) I've not seen much of Boga or mundosa but this lad is the best attacking talent we have in our youth team imo. No one comes close to combine his technical quality, strength on the ball, balance, speed, dribbling and finishing. That is what we should aim for in finding talent (technique, balance, strength on the ball, dribbling, finishing /passing) finishing for attackers and passing for midfielders. No player will make it in Barcelona youth team with the technique of lukaku, I don't know why many Chelsea fans don't see the importance of this.
  24. Exactly. I forgot who I told that Ake has impressed me more than RLC. Ake has more technical quality and is robust in challenges and energetic in his overall play. I value those qualities over anything I've seen from RLC. RLC is a good tackler from what I've seen but if Aké is given equal opportunities you'll see who the fans will love more.
