It's a gamble. We'll see if it pays off in 2-3 seasons. After all, wilshere, Chamberlain and Townsend were all as hyped as this and haven't improved so many years after.
-
Reus is surely better now. But for some reason no one is going after him in the market, so pedro is the next best option imo.
-
Exactly. Fabregas was insulted and ridiculed and he's our second best player now because he's starting every match and playing a consistent position, instead of being thrown in anywhere in the line-up like pedro is. Anyone who isn't starting consecutive matches will never play to his potential. He is 27 and that is meant to be the peak of every footballer but he's never started enough consecutive games to show it. Pedro was the one who put Henry to the bench, he's the one who held his place in the best team of our generation ahead of ibrahimovic and Sanchez. And because he isn't a big price tag like Neymar he can't start and suddenly he's treated like he had torres/Falcao type injury that will prevent him from being the same. I think we underestimate the impact laliga players have in the Premier League. They mostly shine here especially if they are Spanish.
-
Only because robben plays about 10 less matches than hazard due to injury Barcelona play the most parked buses out of any team in the world because of their possession style. That's why fabregas knows what to do against small teams and pedro will succeed in that too
-
Please this would be a very good signing. Every big champions League team have 3 goalscorers in their starting line-up. Neymar, Suarez, Messi Lewandowski, muller, robben Ronaldo, benzema, Bale While we suffer and toil with only hazard and Costa. And Even hazard is not as good a scorer as any of those players above. We need goals, a box to box midfielder and a fast centerback/zouma starting ahead of cahill, then we can go for the Champions League. Until then, we're hoping for another May 2012 miracle in the Champions League.
-
I was speaking about any type of midfielders who don't play on the wings.
-
Central Midfielders get better when older. Oscar at 25 will be a fantastic player for sure.
-
you understand meWe were too soft against big teams. We needed more of a tough side and spine against the big sides. We needed an Essien/Ballack. Vidal would be perferct, but aranguiz is better than ramires and mikel and can pass so 12mil is a good deal.
-
I never said Arda was perfect, I meant he can play on the wings for Barcelona to replace pedro. But we need a goalscorer more in our team and a box to box midfielder in the pivot. We have a player like Turan in willian so I wasn't motivated that much.
-
He just doesn't start enough matches again. Give him starts like how Suarez suffered in his first 10 matches for Barcelona and pedro will come good again. When Tata Martino was manager, he scored the same amount of goals as Sanchez. He's still good.
-
Pedro knows he won't play, and Turan can play on the wings too. It's worth a punt
-
We should bid for Pedro. Perfect for our right wing
-
Let's go for Pedro please.. Goalscoring winger, strong on the ball, two footed scorer, proven on both wings There's no better right winger available
-
When someone doesn't have much dribbling or speed in attack, they tend to have more vision like Mata, silva, KdB. Oscar needs to develop this part of his game. He doesn't give enough through passes or vertical passes to me, too many sideway passes that don't lead to chances created. I was willing to give him time because midfielders tend to develop later in their careers, but hopefully it happens this season for him.

Where in my quote did I say its okay for Christians to disrespect gays???Where did I say they are second class citizens??? You've brought anger into our discussion so I'll like to stop here before it gets out of hand...

How will he cope without his burst of acceleration he used to get behind defences before. He's resorted to getting caught offside of late because he can't beat the defender for speed from a deeper position
-
The examples I brought up is a growing trend and I'm worried about it because thats how it starts till becomes huge and the norm. I'm happy that gay people can freely marry and live their lives as they choose to, I just don't want them to stamp on Christian free nature along their way to rightful gay freedom. The truth that you've been trying to point out to me is that it is okay to take those classes because you won't change if you're naturally born gay or straight. This is true actually, But I can't help but feel that if kids see things at a young age, they're bound to try it out and get used to it or change their true nature eventually. This is not scientifically proven, but I feel this way.

I never said being gay is a bad way of life. I'm just saying that we should be allowed to know and choose the classes our kids take before they grow up. If my son comes out to me, I'll accept him but I'll strongly advise him not to witch-hunt people with sues here and there. I don't like the fear to say what I feel about things (as long as I don't insult someone directly) and that's what its coming to in the USA. I'm sorry about all this, making so many comments on this matter has made me seem like a dick. This is the first time I've been actively involved in this politics section of the forum and it seems I've offended people especially you. I don't mean anyone harm, sorry for offending anyone in anyway.

I cannot classify ISIS as Muslims because I live mostly around Muslims and they are my friends. So if some radicals kill gays when being a Christian means you shouldn't kill anyone, then in my opinion they are not Christians. Just like that Charleston shooting kid is not a Christian in my eyes. I love your advice about tolerating it. I tolerate free minded people, Hindu, Islam, Muslims, atheists and gays. But I don't tolerate witch-hunting on my religious rights, that is where my problem lies. For example, If I work as the CEO in Google and on twitter, I say "Jesus can suck my dick" its fine. But if I say I won't take my kids to that school because they have gay classes there, I'll be targeted on twitter and consequently fired. That is a problem.

I guess the way I said it didn't explain it well. Let's put it this way... If I say I don't think I want to let a gay couple wed in my church or if I say I don't want to let my kids see a gay couple kiss their partner publicly, should I be sued/witch-hunted??? If the answer is yes like in the USA then that's a problem...

A USA senator has already brought up part of the Constitution which states that the church should not be taxed as long as it keeps giving to charity and doesn't support gay marriage. So he wants the church to face taxes now in the USA since gay marriage is now legal. I won't be shocked to see this pick up steam.... I don't think Gays are bad people, anyone who says that is wrong. But, Christians are always going to be obliged by their religious rights of the founding fathers of America to say how they feel about being gay. They are never going to kill a gay couple, but there's nothing wrong with them saying their opinions. The problem going on in the USA is Christians should have a right to talk without being sued or ridiculed on the media till they lose their jobs. It's turning to witch-hunting of religion at this rate.

Wtf the perfect box to box midfielder we've been looking for, the ballack/essien replacement... I don't think arsenal will get him before us if he's available
-
I'm with you on how anyone who defends their religious beliefs is now scrutinized, lose jobs and careers are ended by making any statement that remotely criticizes gays even by 1%. It's getting to crazy levels now, racism is a far bigger issue and has never been given this kind of support. What happens to dedicated Christian institutions who say they don't want gays to wed in their church?? Will they now be forced to betray the religion which was followed from founding forefathers of America till current descendants???? Let's just hope they will marry in court and not force churches to wed them, otherwise it'll be a disaster. I was on a political forum where they said a restaurant in Alabama or Indiana (can't remember) was sued and shut down because they refused to sell cake and to a gay couple, because they feel a moral right to their religion. Luckily Christians donated to them to prevent them from losing their whole life's worth.

We should sell him and put a buy back clause. That would be better than all this loans we make, so that their young minds can be settled and we can still get them back cheap if they turn out to be fantastic.
