I still feel if he hadnt got the media hounding him (Capello) he would have done nothing and kept Terry as captain. He said in an interview not long after he took over as England manager that he believes the media over here go OTT about every little thing and all he cares about is how his players perform on the pitch. He wont let the media influence any decision he makes as it will be purely based on footballing ability. Well he's went back on his word and made himself look a right mug in the process.

Zhirkov is a ready made replacement and if it has to be done then Paulo fits the bill. Any time he's played there he's been very capable. The only concern is the lack of width that'll come down the left if Paulo plays there. We expect our full backs to bomb forward. If he was on the right it wouldnt be a problem.

I support both Rangers and Chelsea, but my first choice will always be Rangers, purely for the fact I've supported them longer....34 years to Chelseas 21. I beg to differ......They are different types of midfielders who offer different things on the pitch. If you had both players bang on form I'd choose Joe Cole over Malouda every day of the week. Joe cole has that extra edge to his game and when he's on fire theres few better who can do so much damage with a flick of his boot.#

If you're going to pick a player on form, then Malouda right now is a good bit ahead of Joe Cole imo. Malouda has been fantastic the last few games and fully deserves his place. I love watching JC and he's one of my favourite players,but for the sake of the team I'd have FM before JC atm Its good for the team that Joe Cole has to fight to get back into the starting line up. Just having him waltzback into the team could possibly hamper a players will to improve.....its up to him to show he deserves to start.
