There was a period last year that I honestly thought David Luiz would grow to become one of the best defenders on Earth. However, as the time went by he not only didnt progress, but he actually regressed A LOT. Today, Luiz is more of a liability than anything else! He doesnt seem focused, it is very weird. He walks on the pitch like his actions have no consequence. He is not even half the player he was under Benitez (not that its Jose's fault). I doubt he will ever become a starter again! We still have Zouma, Kalas, Ake, etc., so I would sell him to Barcelona for 25mi without even thinking twice. We would be getting our money back and Spanish football fits him perfectly, a great deal for both parts. I still believe he can become the player we all want him to be; the problem is that I dont believe he will do it here at Chelsea...

Why is the stadium so empty mate?

Julio Cesar Rafinha - Thiago Silva - David Luiz - Marcelo Paulinho - Fernandinho Hulk - Oscar - Neymar Fred

Spain really didnt fight for Costa, they only did it so Brazil couldnt have him! And Brazil only wanted Costa because our striker options are absolutely horrible. Even mighty England has better strikers than us, it's pathetic!

If this was any other year, I would 100% agree with you. However, this season has been different. There is no clear dominant team and everybody is dropping silly points. City has the potential to win 10 matches in 12, but I trully dont believe they will. If they were so incredible like most people say, they wouldnt have 57 points after 26 games. They are amazing on paper, but they still havent fully figured out how to produce week-in, week-out (especially away from the Etihad)! This year's Premier League is somewhat like the Brazilian League, lol. The top 5-6 teams are so leveled that the winner could have easily ended up outside the top four or whatever. So you have an idea, the champion of Brazil usually finishes with 75-78 points and the fourth finishes with 70 or so. It is less than 3 games separating the first to the fourth. The difference is Brazilian teams are so close to one another because they are all shit, while in the EPL it is close because the top teams are really good, hehehehe. So, unlike previous seasons, there is genuine competiton for the clubs this year. There is no one running away with the league and every single game can be considered quite difficult. It wouldnt surprise anyone if one of the top four lose to the bottom 3. Things are extremely packed now and that makes everything a little bit different.

How much you want to bet that 85 points will be enough to win the title? Of course 87 will guarantee it, but ultimately it wont be needed, imo.

I believe 22 points is enough (W7 D1 L2). I dont think we need to go as high as 89 points in order to win the league. All teams are dropping points, 84-85 will definitely do!

No, because, like I said previously, having 63 points doesnt mean anything in the end if your opponents are closer to you than when you had 59-60-61 points. It only counts if you compare the amount of points our rivals also had. Then we will be able to analyse it and trully compare how well we are doing... But whatever, it is nice to see we are doing much better than in the past 3 seasons or so!

The conclusion is that nothing of what you posted really matters. The important thing is to know how far behind or ahead Chelsea were in comparisson to our opponents. It doesnt matter that we have 63 if City and Liverpool are less than a game behind! 63 points tied with City (assuming they win both their games) is worse than 60 points where the second has 55, for instance...

Awesome derby! A fair 2-2, imo.
-
Needs to set up and perform. Our next games are extremely important and we will need him to be at his best...
-
At this stage, I dont even care who plays or not. Just get the 3 points and move on to the next match! It is make it or break...
-
Well, it seems like I am not the only optimistic about our titles chances anymore!

City getting out of the UCL is something that is never going to happen, NEVER!They have way too many marquee players who bring a lot of revenue to the competition. Aguero, Yaya, Silva, Kompany, etc. Top ranked executives will prefer to ignore any eventual dire financial situation Manchester City might have than to leave big stars out of the biggest tournament on Earth! It is not only about FFP being a joke. Even if Platini and UEFA try to ban them, all the sponsors and tv companies will go absolutely nuts and they will definitely try everything so the big players play in the Champions League (especially since they are paying such a high amount to have the rights to transmit or associate their brands to it). They might even try to sue UEFA if such an important club as City (or PSG or whatever) gets banned. Worst of it, didnt the bid to transmit the next couple of years in UK took place just months ago and ITV payed something crazy in order to outbid Sky? 1 billion or something, right? Well, yeah, they will NEVER allow such a ban to happen!

I dont give a flying fuck what the "world" thinks of Chelsea! We are inconsistent, I will give you that. But to say we didnt have good games throughout this season is beyond pathetic, we had plently of good games (hence we are top of the table and the only English team with a good chance of advancing in Europe)... It´s funny how everyone keeps saying how absolutely horrific we were and that we are in crysis or whatever, yet we are the only club with comfortable results in the two competitions we are still playing! WHAT??? The Premier League is, by far, the best domestic competition in the entire planet. No game is just a random game. Being crowned champions of England is something to be extremely proud of. Any real Chelsea fan knows that! Many (including me) are way more excited about Chelsea winning the EPL than winning the UCL this season (especially since we already won it two years ago). Not a single rational soul would post such a stupid sentence like the one you did. Again, I couldnt care less how many people are watching the game. I only worry about The Blues having a chance of beating them at home so we can advance to the next round (which we do). Be that playing amazing football or not!
-
LOL, what do people expect? Do you all think we will play amazing football and win all our games?? Give us a fucking break and just accept that 1-1 puts Chelsea in a very good position to qualfy at home! I prefer to read the delusional Galatasaray fans trolling than to read you lot moaning...
-
So? Football isnt a linear math equation! United lost 2-0 to Olympiakos, but that doesnt mean they would lose 5-0 to Bayern (probably would, but you get the idea). Just like we drawing 1-1 with Galatasaray doesnt mean we would get trashed by Barcelona... It wasnt a good match, but it is not the end of the world and I think people should learn to appreciate decent results when they come!
-
Relax people, 1-1 away is a decent enough result! Way better than losing 2-0 like all other English teams...
-
He is going to add more physical and marking presence for our midifield. 1-1 is still a great result! If we feel we can win the game at the end, Jose can take out Lampard or Ramires and put Oscar or Salah...
-
It could be because they are losing, but I actually think it is because they are all banned!
