Yes, Brandan Rogers is doing an amazing job. He truly is! However, you need way more than flahsy football and a good attack to be successful in the Champions League. You need experience, a solid defence, mental toughness, luck, etc. They will most probably be great in the group stage, but I doubt they will make much noise once the knock-out rounds arrive. They are not ready yet...

That line of thought is absolutely pathetic! Yes, I believe the resting thing is very overused. Oscar is certainty tired, but that isn't the main reason he is playing so horribly. However, that constant questioning of why he played well for Brazil and whatnot is pathetic. Oscar is NOT saving himself nor has he lost the "will" to play or anything. That is outrageous!. Do you want to know why he played well against South Africa? Well, first of all because it was South Africa FFS! Second of all, because he has Neymar, Hulk and Fred to make runs for him and a very solid pivot to give support from behind. Lastly, the Soccer City pitch is way larger than that of Stamford Bridge, so the players have bigger room to control the ball. All things that doesn't happen when he is playing for us! If Chelsea was playing against China, South Africa, Honduras, etc, Oscar (and every other player) would obviously be lighting the world on fire and scoring a hat-trick every now and then. But we don't, we play in the toughest league on Earth, so we cant expect the same level of performance!!! And I will repeat, I am not giving any excuses to Oscar and this terrible football he has been displaying lately. Nevertheless, it is ridiculous to doubt his character because of that. I didn't see anyone doing that to Hazard when he wasn't performing at the beginning of the season...

Not really, Willian hasnt really played that well to justify paying 30mi for a 5th attacking midfield. He hasnt been able to produce what we saw him do in Shakthar. I am not saying he is a bad player, but I would have gone for a player like Di Maria or something...

This is quite oportunistic on my part, but I told y'all that spending 30mi for Willian (when we still had Mata and KDB) was too much and rather unnecessary!

This forum has gone absolutely downhill after the Villa game! Stupid discussions, horrible overreactions, name calling (both to other members and to players/directors), low level of argumentation, etc, etc, etc...

In the whole Abramovich era, Torres was the only bad deal (per say) we did!

I think so! We will most probably not go unbeaten until the end of the season... I believe we will finish the season with 84-85 points, we will definitely lose at least one more game, imo. As for City, I think it is very probable they finish with 84-85 points as well. They will need to play very badly to draw 4, but it is always possible!
