  1. 300-350k per week? Sorry, I refuse to believe so...
  2. I honestly dont believe Falcao's wages are that high. Sounds like typical media bullshit!
  3. It is different. Getting tight wins late in the game doesnt make it unconvincing. It was simply Ferguson's style, in which he didnt expose the team and solely prepared them for doing the basic! It is a lot similar to how Simeone won La Liga last year. They rarely shined, but they were consistent in getting the results they needed. This is not being unconvincing. You dont have to win by 3 goals to show dominance. And this gets back to my point. Winning by 2 or 3 goals doesnt mean that much at this stage. What mean more is how we perform and how our new squad is evolving...
  4. It is actually the other way around. What is most important at the start of the season is to start consolidating your style of play and predominance, even if that comes with some 1-1 draws or tight wins. Results you can go after later in the season, in the last 10 to 15 games or so... The last three EPL champions show us exactly that!
  5. No, because not a single team is capable of winning a league (let alone the BPL) playing unconvincingly in most of it's 38 games...
  6. Although I do agree, I feel scorelines can be very dismissive! What I mostly want is a convincig display. I want Chelsea to be agressive and show a winning mentality without paniking at crucial moments. Something we clearly lacked last season. Now, if this will result into a 1-0 or a 2/3-0 win, I dont really care. I prefer a 1-0 where we dominated but didnt take our chances than to see us winning 2-0 with lucky goals or a questionable performance.
  7. And we should be very thankful for that!If Wenger really wanted to push, they could have very well signed a top DM and a top ST by spending 60-70mi. Which would definitely make them strong title contenders...
  8. I really dont think Pelle and Tadic are on the level (or close to the level) of Lambert and Lallana.
  9. What you posted is flawed because you dont take into consideration the amount of money spent while those players were in loan or at our youth academy! It is not free to maintain those things, so the net profit goes down to almost zero...
  10. Good thing Everton was willing to pay that much for him, but it feels weird to sell such a promise without even testing him on a CFC shirt!
  11. Chelsea vs Chelsea pretty much...
  12. It is a nice idea, but how big of a catalog would we have to do in order for for us to put all players who have played for us? This way, we need only to keep track of the 25-30 players currently on our squad...
  13. How does Di Maria coming to PSG connect to Cavani leaving?
  14. Glad the Mata comparisons are over though...
  15. Miranda is a much better defender than Cahill (who, despite an excellent season, is inconsistent and reads the game very poorly). The difference is Atletico wasnt in anyone's radar before last season, so he was often overlooked... Not that he would be my primary option (I think Hummels for 30mi would be better than Miranda at 20-25), but he is indeed more secure than Cahill and the fact he is 29yo is plus (he is experienced enough to replace JT when he needs a rest while still leaving room for our young promises to develop). Whoever thinks we can go to a season with only 2 top level CBs is lunatic or doesnt know a single thing about football! I really dont see nothing wrong with this supposed deal to be quite honest.
  16. I didnt know we had signed Koke and Turan...
  17. I agree with the first three though. While the fourth I dont really give a damn...
  18. Isco is not half the player people are making him to be...
  19. I agree with everything regarding Isco, but I disagree with everything regarding James!
  20. I'd prefer Hummels tbh. He is more experienced and would leave more space for the likes of Zouma and Kalas to develop...
  21. Google is your friend you know...But he donated his World Cup bonus (at aroud 500 thousand Euros) to poor sick kids in Bahia, Brazil (where the Germans stayed). It was initialy thought he would donate to some Gaza NGOs after a 7yo kid was killed this week by a bomb while playing street soccer and wearing Ozil's jersey (there are pics of the kid with the burned jersey all over social media). However, his PR staff announced he had already donated it to Brazilian social programs who take care of poor sick children in Bahia. The thing is, no matter what cause he gave his money to, he didnt do it for the media coverage. People wouldnt even know he had donated his money to poor Brazilian communities had that tragedy in Palestine not happened. It was an extremely honorable action! Congrats to Ozil!
  22. Ways for Florentino Perez to leverage his money...
