That is a very poor argument!Liverpool is the 5th club who most spent since 2010 and all they have to show for is a miserable second place on Premier League and 1 League Cup on penalties. That is absurdly low for the 350 million that were invested. Also, money spent is money spent. If they decided to splash 40mil on mediocre players, it's their fault. This notion they have to overpay cause top players dont normally want to go there is complete bullocks. Just look at how Porto, Dortmund, Shakthar, Atletico, Napoli, etc., can sign way better players for half the price. They are also not the very top tier of European football but they are smart in their business. In resume, if you spend 350 million on transfers you should at least have a squad who can finish top 4 and push for cups whenever posible. However, all Liverpool was able to achieve was 1 great season due to Suarez and a bunch of flop stories!
