  1. Honestly, I think its the contrary. Donestic titles usually attract real fans of the league while UCL only attract around the world gloryhunters...
  2. To begin with, only 2 players on that list deserve the hype. The rest is just FIFA products... I never saw Coutinho, El Sharawy, Martial (really? We going that far?), etc., as top youth talents. So they will never be that big of a flop because the expectation was never really there to begin with! A big flop would be if Gotze, Neymar, James or Hazard never live up to the hype. Maybe Sterling as well, but thats it. Others were never on their ball park of youth talent and expectation... EDIT: on your post you give good examples of flops such as Robinho and Gourcuff. So you honestly think the players you listed had 10% of their expectations?
  3. I never viewed Diego as a super talented player, I thought he was talented no doubt, but not the superstar people made him to be with 20yo. So I guess my expectations werent that high to begin with. I still think he did good. Not great, but good. Now, Pato has the talent to be the best player in the world. He trully does. However, he doesnt have the discipline and desire to do so. He only had ongoing injuries because he would not follow the doctors recomendations and he would go partying, drinking and whatnot. Some players just dont have the conscious that football requires some sacrifices. So they just live life as they whish because they are spoiled. Its always the same story actually. It was the same with Denilson, Ronaldinho and Adriano after 06, Robinho, Pato, etc.
  4. People in Madrid call him Malnitez lmao! Bem in spanish means good so since they dont like him they changed his name to mal which means bad
  5. It has nothing to do with writing off the unkown. One thing is to not pay attention to some 18yo that is playing in the shit Brazilian League, but its completely different to continuously try to make him look like a bad diving player even when loads of evidence that shows otherwise is presented to you. It is the simple fact his style bothers people so thats why so many wanted him to flop. Nobody likes to see someone from the oposite side do flashy dribbles, even if its just for the sake of it. It irritates people. They say its unsportsmanship but honestly its just jealousy because they cant do what he does. Also, English fans are quite spoiled and narrow minded. They think only if somebody plays in EPL they are good enough. Fuck, I even see Messi receiving criticism because he doesnt have to deal with the 8th wonder that Premier League is. So imagine Neymar who was playing in Brazil! But where my rage comes from is not for the fair minded criticism. Its for the stupidity I often had to deal with. People praising Joey Barton for his twitts, people saying we didnt need him cause we had Moses (lmao), saying he would move to Barcelona and then be sold after 2 seasons for bananas, etc. The same reason why I get fired up on some of the pathetic things directed at Jose nowadays. People go way too far just because others success bothers them beyond belief. P.S: Diego wasnt a flop imo. He had a really good carrier in Germany. He was just blatantly overlooked in Brazilian NT so thats why many discredit him overall. In terms of Brazilian flops on the last 20 years I think Robinho, Pato and Denilson top the list imo.
  6. And City fans thinking they had just beaten their title rival
  7. Also, people need to stop being drama queen and say we need to avoid relegation. It makes the entire post look ridiculous even if other points are fair minded...
  8. People here loved to say Moses was better than Neymar. That he was "afraid" of Europe "quality" defenders so thats why he stayed for so long in Brazil. That he would fail miserably (Robinho 2.0 was a famous term). Etc... What now?
  9. I deleted that post. No reason to create a shitstorm over false twitter account. Please check your source next time...
  10. Even so. We are 13 points behind 4th so even if we win 13 or 15 points in the next 5 games (which again wont happen) it isnt difficult for the other contwnders to make 9 or 10 points. Which in the end would still leave us 3 games behind! So, in resume what I am saying is we definitely are not finishing top 4. People need to accept that and end of story!
  11. Problem is with the quality of football we are currently playing, any match we go down 1-0 (which isnt improbable considering our defence) will be almost impossible to overcome. So, in our current situation we either score first and hope to maintain the lead or we are pretty much certain to drop points. Top 4 is impossible because you know we are not winning 5 games in a row. We just arent...
  12. That depends on the state of the squad. How many players did ManUtd needed after Ferguson's last title? Of that team only Rooney, Carrick, Jones and De Gea remain first team players. Yes, the team won the League but everyone saw the glarring problems from Feb onwards and some even said we needed a major overhaul. Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic are all done. Fabregas and Costa ended up being one trick ponies. Oscar will never reach his potential. Drogba's leadrship is gone. Etc. Now, we can sit here and say its all Jose's fault (and he does have a lot to blame), but the truth is there are a lot of people working on our football department and they all let this happen, not only Mourinho...
  13. 4. Thats highly subjective. He stayed short term in all his clubs but it wasnt because they were colapsing. Like I said, most of his clubs were left with good football and balanced squads. I dont disagree with your points of loss of leadership, lack of tactics and preparation, etc. Its all true. But its only true for this moment with Chelsea. Its not like its a pattern with Mourinho. The day his work didnt function would come and it is now (sad for us). But I definitely see him working long term in another club someday. They wont play flashy football but they will be competitive and not for only a couple of years. 5. I definitely agree with this, but unlike most I dont think it should be done publicly. Although we are fans the club has no obligation to give out official statements regarding internal affairs. So, I want the club to have an appointment with Jose and Roman and either sack him now during the break or assure him he is safe. But again, I dont think the club needs to release either another statement saying they back Jose. I would find that weak on our part...
  14. 1. Yes, I really apreciate the civilised warning Muzchamp. People need to learn to accept different opinions. Thank you! 2. I am also interested in the voting. Many didnt bothered to change their votes and it can give us a new insight to what the majority thinks aftwr 3 straight league losses. 3. I honestly think its pathetic to say he traded youth players just to try to win a league title asap. I think thats very disrespectful to Jose (not targeting you mate). However, I do agree he has failed on many levels. All done with the best of intentions imo, but he has just lost it. 4. I also disagree he is a 2year only manager. He left most of his clubs with a superb squad. Porto had an excellent team and the only reason they didnt stay on top is cause they sold 7 first team players on the next 2 windows following Joses exit. Chelsea went to last waay past his firing and that was pretty much the same team still. Inter I wil give u that he left them with no juice. But then again he left a perfect RM squad for his successor. It just happens he never wanted to stay much on the samw club. 5. I also disagree completely that he is now a bad coach or is in decline, w/e. I just feel things went south here and thats real unfortunate but it happened. He has a lot of blame but so has so many other people who are involved and also let this happen. Idk, I believe he deserves to have the full season at least, specially because there is no one available. If things dont go well he should be sacked in May though.
  15. NEW POLL AS THE OLD ONE WAS MORE THAN A MONTH OLD...
  16. And you know about this because you participate on all training sessions right?
  17. That was more sad than Torres against Manure lol.
  18. The post itself was shit and referenced a shit manager though
  19. The only thing that its missing for it to be a true Leif post is a bold word...
  20. Well, if I am playing Chelsea and you all those teams, CFC would have 7 wins.
  21. That wasn't a complainment lol. I saw a few people saying we would lose if we played like we have been and I said I could very well see us getting an ugly victory even if not performing well (which we didnt). But to answr your reply. A win is a win but a win like this doesnt make us any hopeful for the next matches as all the same old issues continues to be present in our games. So, yeah I am happy with the win but not happy that we dont show any signs of imprvements week in and week out!
  22. Yes it can. When you need an own goal and a rare free-kick to beat Dinamo at home, you don't get to celebrate much. All our problems were still blatantly visible...
  23. Like I said it would happen. Ugly win...
  24. Thats why half of them were benched. But to almost change all the lineup in an important game is suicide. Its just something you dont do. And thats why Mourinho is the manager and not you guys. Because he knows those inner dressing room stuff...
  25. If you cant see the downside of playing with 5 unexperienced players in an important UCL game than you have never been into a team and has only experienced football via video game. It not only effects our team but it makes the opposition less afraid. Its quite simple, but Im not too bothered to explain tbh...
