If no YouTube video had appeared then Ferdinand/QPR/the ref, and therefore the police, media and general public, wouldn't have even noticed anything. I do think there's other reasons involved as to why the Terry incident got to the stage we're at now, there is an agenda there and I think there's people involved who probably couldn't give two shits about racism

This crops up all the time and fans would generally welcome it. It works well in Germany and you can get a beer as well stood up. Cant see it happening any time soon though -but it's like all these things it needs popular pressure -ie the fans of the Premier League clubs need to unite and lobby Parliament, because at the moment its enshrined in legislation.
