  1. He has put a lot of money in the club and doubtless the trophies wouldnt be there without his and the TV cash. However his 'hands on' approach, due to his love of football could be considered a double edged sword. Eg going to training sessions, shevchenko/torres, whereas other billionaire owners leave the staff to get on with it. Also needs putting in perspective, the club cost roughly the same as one of the yachts.
  2. Superb today, probably his best game since Munich
  3. Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way Oh what fun it is to see Chelsea win away...
  4. I can see a lot of 'fans' deserting chelsea in cyberspace if we are relegated, or indeed have a few seasons of mediocrity which I fully anticipate. Disgusting the way some are talking about the greatest manager this club have ever had. Thank god its not really representative.
  5. Was thinking the same. That 'wonderful night in Istanbul' was the flookiest final ever.
  6. Apart from CFCs demise, this seasons quite enjoyable. From now on challenging for the title will not only be between us, Man utd, Citeh , and Arsenal. Its not only a select few that can splash the cash. Any team that can spend £40m on a top goalscorer, and one or two more quality personnel with the TV revenue available will be in with a shout. For that reason, pretty certain we will see potential champions in the next decade from the Palaces, T*ttenhams, Leicesters, etc
  7. Yeah I'm thinking Palarse not only scenting blood , but guts n entrails of a disembowelled team. I predict if we lose, some here will blame Mourinho , and some will say Hiddink is just getting a platinum pension. Lets not forget to look at the players as well.... Anyway hope I am wrong and we embarras the palace 'ultras' n their retarded drummer..
  8. Not sure Raiola considers us a 'big' club now
  9. His agent at the time, Henrotey engineered a move out of Chelsea. Lukaku then swithched to a new agent Raiola. Raiola has now said he needs to go to a big club like Citeh, PSG or Man Utd.
  10. Glad you, as a chelsea fan, were happy winning the title. If youre unhappy about Lionsden, and think Admin 'fucked up' PM one Now stay on track please.
  11. I think most cringed towards the end of his tenure when he appeared at the after match interviews blaming anything. He had plenty of faultlines, as with all geniuses, and I have never met anyone who saw him as flawless. Conversely, here, there are some who say hes set the club back years , blame him solely for the clubs present predicament -when the board, owner, players are equally responsible, and laughably see him as the only voice in who comes to and leaves the club. I would rather move on, discuss what the future holds tbh, but people keep on bringing up Mourinho, and the fairytale of what an ogre he was in destroying any stability, but I suppose people need easy scapegoats, rather than the reality that the structure is creaking.
  12. As I said online, but you wouldnt find anyone moaning around SW6.
  13. Anyway, back on track.I Agree that leaders for next season are important, as with team building, all singing from the same hymn sheet etc. Its crucial also that a manager is given autonomy. Huge bruisers under Clough like Larry Lloyd would cower in doorways rather than get a tongue lashing off old big 'ead, similarly, the whole United squad were in dread of Redfaces hair dryer treatment. Its no coincidence those two are the greatest British managers to ever manage English teams in the top flight, and were given the freedom to run their squads without interference. Cant ever see that happening at CFC, the nearest we came to it was when Jose was left alone for his two first seasons.
  14. Not in May they werent, quite happy to bathe in the glory, as I am sure you were.Yes I actually changed the title back to the Mourinho Thread several times. If I remember rightly Lionsden was banned amongst other things because 158 of his 160 posts were slagging off the team he purported to support.' Kinda funny' too. Not 100% sure, as Mods cant ban. Anyways, back on topic.
  15. This isn't the 70s under Clough, or the 90s under Ferguson clubs don't operate like that anymore. It's laughable to think Mourinho, or any manager come to that is solely responsible for ins and outs nowadays. A Mourinho player is, for me all about personality and desire. Look at the great sides he had here and at Inter and Porto and the top players who gave everything to win. Not getting the ones he wanted in the Summer, the board or Abramovich getting rid of Cech...and then non-application from the remainder of the title winners for whatever reason brought out the Hitler in the bunker mentality.Hazard at Leicester, as an example, was the antithesis of what a Mourinho player is. Talent means little without application and hunger
  16. Its symptomatic of the fickle nature of fans though. Funny how its suddenly become very fashionable to bash Mourinho online, yet the same people were wanking over him last May.
  17. Just as important, if not more so, is the notion of Team Building. Theres no point in leaders if there's no cohesion. This is down to backroom staff, manager, Technical director as well as the players. At the moment there seems too much the 'cult of the individual'.
  18. Too right. No real fan would say such rubbish.
  19. Probably more chance with Matic tbh. Costa has fucked up seven one on ones this season.
  20. Welcome. Look forward to your posts.
  21. haha The Beezer. Used to get that literary gem.
  22. Fuck knows what licorice allsort players will be picked by Bertie Bassett Emanalo etc. What is a fucking must is players with attitude. Hungry fucking bruisers, like pre chelsea Drogba types, slightly psychotic Costa, Suarez characters who have something to prove. At the moment someone like Arnautovic would galvanise the procrastonators.
  23. Somethings happened to him though, (Ivanovich)as well as the loss of pace. Three times today he backed off, the fourth ocassion he pressed, won the ball set off an attack. Theres no way he'd have done that in 2014, 2013, 2012...but youre right Guus will continue to pick him.
  24. Exactly -I am chuckling at the thought of Clough or Fergie or even Wenger having been dealt Emanalo Arnesen on the other hand was a bloke who knew what he was doing.
  25. Yup Pardew old Shed boy. With either though, Sparky the most, how long do you think they'd put up with the interference of the Sibneft crew of Buck, Maria, and Tenenbaum let alone Mr 419 Emanalo ?
