Pretty tricky with no striker, and even if Costa hadnt been yellowed against Watford I am not sure they compliment each other now. Hazard with Chicarito, now that would be better...
-
Spot on, and the bloke has to be given credit for lack of playacting and no retaliation (well he did lose it a bit towards the end), but was at the end of his tether. He must be getting frustrated with no goals too.
-
Cmon surely you wouldnt like to see his leg broken ?
-
Dont remind me about Matic

It's absolutely disgusting the amount Hazard is being fouled out there and not getting support by way of yellow cards. I accept there was one but my god how long did that take. He will get away soon and smash the winner.

if I was paid 150k a week I would have done a bit of research DVDs /Youtube at least, after all he would have been sounded out for the job weeks ago, plenty of time to do some spadework. I admire youre looking for a positive, but he shit the bed today... Showed no managerial ability whatsoever, and has taken two points of Watford and United. Best to give him time, but I see his appointment nothing more than a PR excercise at the moment. Overall though all said and done, not a bad result without a striker, but obviously a draw was the gameplan
-
If he ever does, its tactically as well as personnel that need sorting. If he wanted to change something it would have made perfect sense to play hungry players with something to prove -Kennedy, Traore and Loftus Cheek.

Is John Terry picking the side, because I can't see the point of sacking Mourinho to bring in a manager and nothing changes. So we have to question who picks the team, and I'm guessing it is the captain. Surely Hiddink has been watching videos of the shit he is now in charge of?

The studs on Willian, unpunished tackle on Zouma, the tackle on Oscar that could have put him out for six months..hows that for starters ?
-
Atkinson is a fucking danger to players, ignoring the Rooney potential leg breaker, he shouldn't be allowed on a sunday league pitch let alone be our representative at uefa/fifa tournaments. This is the same bloke that booked Drogba after Evans kicked him in the chest
-
Is he Big Sam in disguise ?
-
Hes been brought in to steady the ship, more a PR move than anything. A sensible grandad after the crazy uncle to calm the players. Someone whos had succes to sit with Drogba next to the owner to create an illusion of stability. The reality i feel is anything but. Yes he was good, but I dont think the players will listen to him much, theyre just playing with freedom now, so we'll get erratic results. Next season a marque manager will arrive, but with our backroom clique, and track record, it'll be more revolving door. Then we wouldnt be Chelsea without drama and crisis.

Lets get away from this demonisation of managers for getting rid of or acquirng the wrong personnel. Yes they have some input but we know our transfer dealings are brokered by Maria, Emanalo has the final say in youth and first team appointments, and Abramovich isnt averse to sticking his oar in for fantasy football (shevchenko). When it comes to Lukaku, I dont even believe him when he says it was his decision, his agent would have touted and engineered the move, probably citing his clients probable lack of first team time, all the while salivating at 10%.

Watch Utd suddenly turn into world beaters on Monday

Tbh have no expectations, we just have to keep chipping away to get points now. You will see the players raise their game in the cup competitions, especially the CL, so anything is possible. Yes, I still hear the clarion call 'play the kids!' Seriously this aint gonna happen whether we're 10 points clear or hovering above the drop zone. Rebuild in the Summer, but for now its a new manager, new chapter, clean slates for the players We go again, the past is the past.

If theres one thing the media hate, its being criticised, which LVG did -they come back with a vengeance. Lets be honest, the media arent interested in the results or football, it's whos's next for the sack....

PC in a nutshell: "All the players need to look in the mirror..and...er..I shouldnt really be here"

Van Gaals press conference. Clearly getting rattled, but fair play to him, had a right go at the media.

That and doing the 419s

Yeah, apparently Emanalo brought in Hazard, Oscar, Azpilacueta, and all the good players that stayed, yet Mourinho made all the mistakes and got rid of all the good players like Cech, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Mata, and messed up getting Pogba and Stones

Guardian had a piece on the 'individual' last week. The ex Notts County full back was brought to SW6 on Avram Grants recommendation. He was promoted from scout to assistant first team manager when Ray Wilkins was sacked. Then made Technical Director and oversees the recruitment at academy and First Team level. He has avery close relationship with Abramovich and reports as to what is going on in the dressing room etc. I would boot the prick out, and get someone of Arnesens calibre back. If Abramovich is so insecure, it would be cheaper to bug and have CCTV everywhere anyway.
