Just a tour every 4 years where they play test matches in a dedicated country (this year is Australia). It's not like a cup competition or anything, though.
-
Lions are a combination of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland (made up of those countries' players) . They are a rugby team that go on tour (every four years) and have just beaten Australia, so, as an Englishman, I am quite chuffed.

haha Beale choked when he would have won it for Aus, better luck next week.

anyone watching Aus v Lions? v good game so far, lions leading by 2 points going into the last 10, hope we beat these Aussies.

Premier League attempting to block First Row
Mr_President replied to We Hate Scouse's topic in Football Chat
they will block this site, another will pop up straight away.. happens with piratebay and many other sites. No need to fear. I actually only use that website for saturday 3pms as there is no other way of watching them but i watch all other games through Sky because it's in HD -

Surprised at the number of fellow history nerds here, awesome! I am massively interested in renaissance period history & the Habsburgs, I am doing law at uni after my gap year but am hoping to study some history later on (I just finished history at A level). I can swim, btw.

Brazil Mexico in 30 mins, anyone watching?
-
oh ok, cheers, definitely going to try to get there then. Anytime I've gone to the Bridge I had to buy the tickets at inflated prices from people that had already bought them haha
-
I'm not a ST holder yet but if I wanted to get a ticket for the Hull game anyone guess how much it would be for a bog-standard seat? Would I be looking at £100+ ? Might be worth it..
-
oh god no.. wish we would just forget about him.

Yes, I am in the same boat. After being one of those fans who thought that we needed to go out and splash ridiculous money on another striker (Falcao/Cavani) in order to compete I have changed my tune and want Lukaku to be given a go, with Ba and Torres (unless we are able to unload Torres) as back up. I don't think , save for Drogba in a few seasons, we have had one seriously prolific striker at Chelsea, and with the way our team is set up we have loads of goals coming from the midfield, so is spending 50m+ on another striker really the best option?? If we are not able to offload Torres, then we will have 120-130M in striking talent at the club + wages.. The only problem is that I know many fans, especially in the heat of the moment, will criticise and jump on Lukaku if he doesn't have a good start and we end up panicking by Jan..by which time we may not be able to secure an 'elite' striker'. Overall, though, I just think it is better for the long-term future of the team that we don't bring in another 50m+ striker and we stick with Lukaku. I also like TOPTB's point about having a more emotional/romantic connection with seeing Lukaku succeed here, rather than an expensive player that would have rather played in Madrid anyway. We should look to replace Mikel and maybe bring in another CB + Luke Shaw if he is available then I think we're good. There is also the bonus of seeing Lukaku grow and develop here, at Chelsea, into a lethal striker -- under Jose Mourinho, no less.

Update from my previous post back in march: Have cut down to 174 lbs and about 12-13% bf, abs starting to come through now so getting ready for the beach (have clubbing holidays in Ibiza and Berlin this summer which my Nan is paying for as a treat for finishing my exams before I go to uni!). Down to only 2400 cals / day now so it's getting harder. Started drinking green tea again which has helped, I think, but it makes me need a piss so much in the night time which is really annoying.. Have lost a few KG off of my compound exercises (about 5 kg off bench + squat, but deadlifts + MP still the same), whilst this is annoying it is to be expected whilst on a caloric deficit. Bring on the summer!
