Id say its a mixture. The top teams are far more fragile that the 04-09 period and in Europe the current performances (bar us) have been abysmal. But the amount of money for all clubs has increased spending and nearly every team in the PL has a distinct philosophy and group of dangerous players. Just listing teams i dont feel comfortable versing: United City Arsenal Liverpool Everton Swansea Southampton Villa Newcastle Spurs Cardiff (at home) Stoke (home) Thats a shocking amount of teams that i dont feel comfortable versing and i dont think any league comes close to that number.

I'm a big fan of Romeu. A bit prone to errors but he's only young. Very classy on the ball, smooth passer and can break up play. I like the idea of him in our pivot or one of the deeper roles of a 4-3-3.

I vote we make him our #10 so he can show is true national team identity.

I do miss the little man, but I can't find a place for him in the team. I love the team philosophy of high pressing more than I love seeing Mata out on the pitch. On the wing he can't compete with Willian, Schurrle or Hazard. Only in a high possession game could I see him be effective. But if I had the choice of gegenpressing. or possession based football I'd always pick the high pressing option.

I find it very weird the whole Mourinho coming back. It feels to me like he was never gone but then I still get excited about the concept of us having him back. I think he's getting closer to knowing his ideal shape. but the attacking trio in my opinion is rotated a bit too much.

For January it would be nice to just get some extra cover for the pivot. with MVG out there is a real danger of a Ramires injury. Lamps can't play every game and I don't really trust the old bison.

Need to silence Ben Arfa for this one. If he's having a good game he will be very hard to stop. Can imagine one of the Chelsea players being tasked with not giving him room to breathe.

It's silly that barely any of that team played last game against City. That's damn strong. If MVG wasn't injured we'd only have Cahill playing, and even then, we could put Kalas in. Just think of our depth last season.

heynckes deserves it for last year. of it were last 4-5 seasons (in total) I'd say klopp deserves it. knowing FIFA it will be given to messi. the ribery situation reminds me of sneijder. won nearly all he possibly could and was the main man yet still didn't beat that little man.

Was really excited about the prospect of seeing KDB this season, especially after his successful loan spell and pre season. It is a bit upsetting him not getting his ideal gametime, but really, we are in a very strong position in the league currently (considering our tough fixture list) and if Mou wants the defensive qualities of certain players, so be it. Important to remember that we support Chelsea, not a particular player. That being said though it is a very long season and one injury to one of the AM's or a stellar performance against Arsenal could see KDB get an opportunity to show how he can slot into this Chelsea team.

Hoping with our 'b' team (seriously, our depth is ridiculous compared to last season) we can again triumph over Arsenal. I can just imagine the media if Arsenal are knocked out of the CoC and then slip up in the group stages. I'd love to see some KDB in action and I think its fairly certain he will get his chance. I personally dont understand the tribalism some members have regarding JayC. This is a FORUM, we should be happy to have a different perspective. This isnt the streets of a match its an online discussion which should be with intelligent people who arent so aggressive because someone has a different opinion. Its the worst part about football when you cant even talk respectfully with someone else just because they like a different club. I find it baffling. Worse than patriotism.

That'd because of the Brazilian bias of the Ukrainian league. Person above mentioned the same with Fernandinho. I don't think I could stomach seeing Mata go to United. He's too perfect of a human to go there.
