Actually apart from the strikers they were all not so great yesterday. They were unable to break free on the counter when they were needed most. The much heralded bakayok as bullied out of the game by yaya, sidibe was their worst defender got ripped a new one by Sane time and time again. That Monaco team might be full of great players but yesterday was surely no evidence for that. Monaco will have to attack City in the 2nd leg and that will suit them. Even tho it is crazy to go out in a CL ko tie with SIX offensive players but if they do again they will score. A 5-3 sounds great but it is actually only better than a 1-0 when you score at least 4 in the second leg so I can see them going full pep mode again and us having such a spectacle all over. I think it's march 11 Which will be less than 2 days after their el fixture. I guess they will prioritize the el because winning that will warrant them the CL spot they will fail to get via the league. However we have always dominated them at the bridge for the past 12 years. Even though they were our greatest rivalmfor years I felt we were always superior player for player and as a unit. However they got the advantage of managerial stability, Fergus time and their immense influence on officials which could tip close encounters in their favor. But we outlived them as title candidate. They might be on excellent form but we are the far stronger side tactically and even physically which is why I expect us to not thrash them again but at least comfortably see them off

Leaning towards the same. A title is a title. The epl is just as English as the FA cup and both are prestigious trophies I want us to win. Another double right in the faces of the Manchester teams and stuff would be great ESP since doubles are much rarer in England than in the other leagues.

This was one of those shit games where everything goes against u. The opposition score a world class goal, the ref is shit, the weather and the pitch are a mess, the opposition is playing out of their skin. If we had played out our chances more clinically we could have not double figures. Incredibly how a so called title contender would allow that many spaces.
