  1. Yup i still hope, they miss out on him. So far Bayerns plan A is to create FC Deutschland with Sane and Draxler above Carrasco, Pepe and CHO on thier wish-list. Though i did not perceive pepe as hyper-fast. More like nippy but with supreme game intelligence and positioning so he might just read the game too well to be ever spotted in full sprint. Would love him too esp given how deadly he is and that we are lacking aleft footer.
  2. If our treasury department was smart they locked that exchange rate in with a forward or at least filled their euro accounts. But even if not, i think volatility can work in our favour here cos the amount we have to pay is fixed but the time we have to pay it is not. I expect the pound to fall till a few weeks after brexit. At some point the BAnk of England will be forced to lower rates tho and the pound will appreciate.
  3. I feel that Ten Haag would fail spectacularly just as Bosch did at BVB. We would collapse defensively. I think Allegri is the only way we can win things in the next few years. With Hazard gone we have basically a mid-table squad with luxurious depth. Our only world class player is Kante with Kepa and Rüdiger coming closest, all more defensvie than offensive players. So IMO our new manager should know how to build a team around a defensive foundation. Allegri does. When Conte came here we ripped up the league without major spending and with inferior squads compard to the Manc teams. We did so because his tactics here caught the league on the wrong foot and once they adapted we were out of reach. Now without the quality of Costa and hazard, the only way i see us reaching top 4 is grinding out results. Allegri managed to teach Juve 3 different formations in no time. If he can recreate that here, i think we have a chance to reach top 4 adn win the odd cup. If ofc our objective is to transform into this bullshit posession football philosophy then he might not be the right man. But neither is Lampard or Ten haag. Lampard is out of his depth given the situation. Even if he will be given time and no title objectives, he might very well lose the players with all the rotten illoyal guys we still have at the club and can not get rid of. You can not transform the identity of a club without buying and selling players. If this is really what we want then prepare to suffer, because continuing Sarris work here wil make us uncompetitive for years. Now, we still have time to revert ot what we are good at.
  4. He is not gonna join Bayern tho. They will either get Sane, Carrasco or another star winger. Add to that they have Coman, Gnabry, Afonso Davies and they sometimes employ Müller on the wing as well. Further they just brought up the Korean Jeong from their B-Team. So why would they play another youngster when they already have 4 wingers 23 or younger. Kovac has no real record of bringing up junior players either. CHO is not stupid, he should see through that. IMO, they have long given up on CHO and made other plans. They just keep taling about CHO to annoy us. CHO is either gonna sign that contract, which honestly he should. No better time or place for him right now with all the trust the club the club put him. With the transfer ban and Hazard having left, he has the chance to start for a top10 club in the world at 18 years. 100k is also more than he would earn at Bayern. He either is gonna sign the contract and become a star, which I think he will or he walks on a free next season and will never be heard of again.
  5. I do not get why we should let Sarri off the hook that easily. He still has 2 years of contract left. We bought him out of Naples and Juve should do the same. Alos Managers are becoming just as shallow as players. As soon as a more attractive club comes calling they are "unhappy" or "homesick". If you have a tendency to feel homesick, do not sign a 3 year contract duh
  6. I dont mind him staying. His developmenz has been steady. He fully recovered from that horrible injury physically. He never was meant to become a super technical defender but he is by no means a bad footballer. Playing right back at Stoke has given him a lot in terms of opening play (even though in stoke that means hoofing the ball in the air) . Also I like how we have 2 physical beasts and 2 technical cbs
  7. I like how many england fans still wear their Lampard kits
  8. Lol in your dreams. Their team was without chances against a decent Ajax side who completely ripped them a new one without a single WC player, just a few nice talents. Their team is ageing. Sarri is gonna win fuck all with them. Major chance for all other teams in serie A to break Juve dominance. Dafuq. He was backed more than most managers. He was given his favourite players, Jorginho and Higuain, the board had patience with him thorugh patches of atrocious results and even worse performances. Less bad patches had seen better managers sacked before. Sarri can consider himself very lucky not to be fired before he had to redeem his season which even though it ended in success was an overall poor season performance wise. And how is Juve a better place? You are a Chelsea fan aren't you? Chelsea for me still is the best place to be and the greatest football club on earth. Dont see any upgrade on that. So why should anyone be happy for him he is somewhere else? I am happy for myself we got rid of a manager who did not want to be here. I was ok with him staying but i am happy now he is gone. I hated his football and his old fart demeanour. If we get in a good manager he will be soon forgotten and rightly so.
  9. might be available on a free. Probably a spent force but would not mind on a short term deal if there wasn' the transfer ban in place. If Lamps really became coach i am sure he could use him well given the undertanding they had as players.
  10. This. Absolutely sublime. It is a record deal for Real Madrid the biggest spenders in football and the 5th biggest deal ever in football history as well. Only Mbappe (whose fee could still be eclipsed with bonus payments) coutinho, dembele and Neymar were more expensive and they were bought in their early 20ies or before with their prime ahead of them and in long term contracts. Hazard, 28 years and a few months, with 1 year left and his absolute peak behind him fetching that amount is great business.
  11. El prat is the airport of Barcelona
  12. I just walked through the main real store in gran via. Did not see it. Maybe just someone guy who hung his custom flock there
  13. It really depends on the structuring of the deal. the base fee says nothing. If it is something like 88m + 20m for 20 appearances, 35 for 50 and another 25 once he wins his ifrst title etc.. it could still be a good deal for us. The bigger the deals get the more the buying clubs wants to make sure that it only pays big if the signing is the success that can be expected. I also think that there was more in it and marian once again failed at her job but i dont think that this is a 88m flat deal. We rejected 88m flat before and now they come back with the same deal and we accept it? no way. We could drag this deal all summer and real would get nervy. No we only accept those ridiculous 88m because Real came back with a sginficant increase in the bonus payments.
  14. No smoke withourt fire. A 5 year deal is a huge middle finger to Bayern and that alone is worth the 100k per week
  15. 100m is already too much..what has Coutinho ever done in his career apart from a few fancy longshots at Pool. I would be so disappointed if we were to waste the hazard funds on such an average player. Almost makes you hope we will keep the transfer ban only that our incompetent board doesnt sign shit players
  16. But to become a legend it helps to be a fan. Like JT who left to the 2nd league only not to have to play us. Hazard will thus never be in that category even though he is arguably in the top 10 of club legends. Lampard, Drogba, JT all had offers to leave the club at a similar age as Hazrd does now, pretty much on the peak of their careers but they choose to stay. In the end they won the Champions League here. That is also what made that title feel so special.
  17. lol u serious. Jovic so far has had a poor record in the business end of the season and never played CL before. Hazard has not really shone in the latter stages in CL either all his career. Real Madrid are still in transition. They will not stand a chance against pool or City even with hazard and jovic in. 60m is a steal tho. no idea why frankfurt surrendered this easily. Just read that the official statement is, that 60m was just too appealing to turn down. dafuq. Marina would have milked them for 100 for sure. They just needed to wait till an English club gets in the bidding. Probably that is jut how they roll, giving up easily, suits how their season ended. Did not even make 7th place on their own accord but had results falling in their place such that they finsihed 8th. pathetic club.
  18. but he only has himself to blame. I mean everyone knows that players suaully stay much longer in clubs than managers so following a manager to a new club is never a good idea. Especially on a big money deal with a fat ass contract no one is gonna buy you out from. Jorginho is a limited player who is not useful in many systems. I see he has his qualities and the shift he put in the last 2 months is applaudable. He has a good attitude and improved his tackling and defensive positioning massively. But he is not a born EPL DM which are usually superior athletes so I doubt he will be our long term solution for that position with a new manager. I could see him in a double pivot if he increases his long range passing. But if Sarri leaves and we can not sign players, there is no way we can sell him, whatever the price. Also I loved the Kante-Jorginho-RLC midfieldand how effortlessly it dominated games. Not seen enough of it yet.
  19. Now imagine being in Madrid with 120k drunk scousers polluting the city...-.-
  20. I still hope that we will eventually replace Sarri with a superior coach. But given the squad he has and the chaos the club is in he has achieved what could be expected. So replacing him with a wild card like Lampard as he is yet after one season is an absolute wild idea. Also there is no denying Sarri has developed during his spell here so far. The counter attacks that broke Arsenals neck were clearly rehearsed and different to the slow transition we have seen over the season. I liked it and if we can keep that up i think i am ok with giving him more time given the alternatives. To be clear i still dont like the rigid 4 3 3, his outdated posession obsession, his general demeanor anf i dont believe his idea of football should be the future of this club but it makes no sense to stop backing him the moment he appears to have turned the tide and we are playing something that looks like Chelsea football again.
  21. Omg this would be ao brilliant. Would celebrate that like a cup win haha. Our play is so much better with Emerson. Can you imagine alonso crossing like this to Giroud for the opener.
  22. And he is likely to be the only player to have won all major domestic cups in england and spain and all international club and nations competitions On a different note the ref was class today with his swift usage of the VAR
  23. Lol lyon now going into CL instead if Arsenal. Should give us Fekir as a thank you gift for free
  24. Only team to win a the cup unbeaten in all 15 games btw. 5 wins out 6 cup european Finals. Sarri oldest coach at first european title
  25. I love how we jetted to USA, showed up on Baku 1 day before the final without two of our best players and still beat Arsenal without breaking a sweat.
