  1. No smoke withourt fire. A 5 year deal is a huge middle finger to Bayern and that alone is worth the 100k per week
  2. 100m is already too much..what has Coutinho ever done in his career apart from a few fancy longshots at Pool. I would be so disappointed if we were to waste the hazard funds on such an average player. Almost makes you hope we will keep the transfer ban only that our incompetent board doesnt sign shit players
  3. But to become a legend it helps to be a fan. Like JT who left to the 2nd league only not to have to play us. Hazard will thus never be in that category even though he is arguably in the top 10 of club legends. Lampard, Drogba, JT all had offers to leave the club at a similar age as Hazrd does now, pretty much on the peak of their careers but they choose to stay. In the end they won the Champions League here. That is also what made that title feel so special.
  4. lol u serious. Jovic so far has had a poor record in the business end of the season and never played CL before. Hazard has not really shone in the latter stages in CL either all his career. Real Madrid are still in transition. They will not stand a chance against pool or City even with hazard and jovic in. 60m is a steal tho. no idea why frankfurt surrendered this easily. Just read that the official statement is, that 60m was just too appealing to turn down. dafuq. Marina would have milked them for 100 for sure. They just needed to wait till an English club gets in the bidding. Probably that is jut how they roll, giving up easily, suits how their season ended. Did not even make 7th place on their own accord but had results falling in their place such that they finsihed 8th. pathetic club.
  5. but he only has himself to blame. I mean everyone knows that players suaully stay much longer in clubs than managers so following a manager to a new club is never a good idea. Especially on a big money deal with a fat ass contract no one is gonna buy you out from. Jorginho is a limited player who is not useful in many systems. I see he has his qualities and the shift he put in the last 2 months is applaudable. He has a good attitude and improved his tackling and defensive positioning massively. But he is not a born EPL DM which are usually superior athletes so I doubt he will be our long term solution for that position with a new manager. I could see him in a double pivot if he increases his long range passing. But if Sarri leaves and we can not sign players, there is no way we can sell him, whatever the price. Also I loved the Kante-Jorginho-RLC midfieldand how effortlessly it dominated games. Not seen enough of it yet.
  6. Now imagine being in Madrid with 120k drunk scousers polluting the city...-.-
  7. I still hope that we will eventually replace Sarri with a superior coach. But given the squad he has and the chaos the club is in he has achieved what could be expected. So replacing him with a wild card like Lampard as he is yet after one season is an absolute wild idea. Also there is no denying Sarri has developed during his spell here so far. The counter attacks that broke Arsenals neck were clearly rehearsed and different to the slow transition we have seen over the season. I liked it and if we can keep that up i think i am ok with giving him more time given the alternatives. To be clear i still dont like the rigid 4 3 3, his outdated posession obsession, his general demeanor anf i dont believe his idea of football should be the future of this club but it makes no sense to stop backing him the moment he appears to have turned the tide and we are playing something that looks like Chelsea football again.
  8. Omg this would be ao brilliant. Would celebrate that like a cup win haha. Our play is so much better with Emerson. Can you imagine alonso crossing like this to Giroud for the opener.
  9. And he is likely to be the only player to have won all major domestic cups in england and spain and all international club and nations competitions On a different note the ref was class today with his swift usage of the VAR
  10. Lol lyon now going into CL instead if Arsenal. Should give us Fekir as a thank you gift for free
  11. Only team to win a the cup unbeaten in all 15 games btw. 5 wins out 6 cup european Finals. Sarri oldest coach at first european title
  12. I love how we jetted to USA, showed up on Baku 1 day before the final without two of our best players and still beat Arsenal without breaking a sweat.
  13. Ended a shit season with 3rd place and EL...title machine. Our winning instinct is in our DNA.
  14. Lovely gesture having azpi and cahill lift the cup together
  15. Better late than never. Sarri with first title at 60 y.o. credit where its due. Tactics today were spot on.
  16. What a trophy cabinet pedro has btw. Has about won every title he contested
  17. yup. what happened to Scott Carson is he injured?
  18. shame... but Villa have been the better team in the game. Only thing that can save them is Lamps subsituting himself and score 4 goals vs Villa like he did 2010. Curiously these here are both teams Lamps scored 4 goals in a single game against each.
  19. Celsi haha class... so how's the temperature over there? like 26 degrees Celsi us ? ^^ Massive respect to you for flying to the ass-end of the world to support the club tho!
  20. Well if you go by this there are tons of palyers who deserve it just like that or more. Tbf Modric albeit a great player had a rather mediocre season individually. He let Croatia down several times in the world cup and also allowed Real Midfield to be dominated in midfield most of the time vs strong oppositions. And yeah I do not think Hazard will win Balon d'Or based on his lack of extreme ambition. NOt that he is not ambitious. NO one is as successful without ambition. But he does not have this very last bit of channelled self-centeredness and almost autistic obsession with the game messi and ronaldo have. Makes him much more approachable as a human being but not cut out for the individual top price in this era. But if I could chose i would rather be a guy like Hazard who is an undisputed world class player but comes across as if he still enjoys other stuff in life but not win the Balon d'Or than being a self-obsessed football roboter than Messi&Ronaldo who have long proven it all and still cant stop, fired on by their bizarre rivalry.
  21. Leipzig were the better team tho, just should have used their tons of 100% chances. Was like a carbon copy of barca liverpool
  22. I have always liked Klostermann. Big strong and fast as hell. Would probably be cheap as well. Him and Reece as RB options would be sweet.
  23. Football is short lived tho. Those goals count nothing, as Giroud and Higs are way past their peak and Morata has never really been a regular scorer as a lone striker. Goals is also not everything I guess. Our strikers just suck with their average hold-up play, shit attitude (bar Giroud) and missing all those easy chances. Also they become useless once the opposition has good defenders which is the mark of average strikers. There tons of very prolific strikers in football history who never were really world class because they would jus tnot cut it in the big games.
  24. Belotti is a technically inferior player to Piatek tho..You can see that from the quality of goals alone. Also belotti would have been 80m, Piatek went for 31. At that price it always would have been better business than 18m on higs for wages and loan fees.
  25. making a mountain out of a molehill tho... if the press dont do it, we do it ourselves, hollywood fc.
