  1. the 1-1 is a good result for us. We keep our record for best epl start and Utd are held at a safe distance. Let's hope it stays that way.
  2. Also thought he was absolutely poor. His positioning was weird, his crosses abysmal and his lack of pace just makes it impossible for CHO to link up with him or for balls to be played into space for him. Nonetheless his goal today was vital and expertly struck. I do not buy this "When the goalie gets a hand to it he can save it" Dubravaka had an excellent match but that shot was so vicious very few keepers would have kept that out.
  3. Buzzing after this hard fought win..we were up against it with half the team injured and right after this untimely international break. We grinded out a result in a match we would have let slip just a few weeks ago. But the team is maturing quickly. Game management again was excellent ater the opener, defending with the ball.
  4. These niggling injuries only stated with his return to international football. So disgusting. When will this madness stop.
  5. thank god Mount is off that dodgy turf. And he also played so average I hope he does not start the next game as well.
  6. Bastoni, politano as d'ambrosio i had never seen live before and only heard the name. Of the squad players not featured i have no idea what kind of players Gagliadini, dimarco padelliy, biraghi are. I usually focus on Epl and Bundesliga so not really into Seria A. Today showed me why. Despite a top game with 3 goals it was a rather dull affair.
  7. Inter are tactically better but Juve have just too much quality...Higuain, Dybala, sandro, Bonucci. Some of inters players i have never heard of. Conte should have taken the draw and shut down the shop.
  8. This is why I think he will make it eventually. Not just a pace merchant but highly intelligent player. To see the run from Michy in his back, move the ball just that inch to get the angle for the pass and then time it perfectly shows a mature understanding of the game.
  9. Shame there is a bloody international break in between. We seem on a rolll. Can not wait to see this vibrant young team combine through some comparably stiff defense again. Never seen a Chelsea team play so much as a team in attack, knocking the ball around for fun, making brilliant off the bal lruns. in the 2004-2012 it was a lot of Lampard-Drogba inidividual brilliance and scoring from half-chances, afterwards it was Hazard-Costa. But now we look our free-flowing best, creating tons of chances and making everythign look so effortless. Long may it continue. If we keep it up, newcastle should be doable. albeit they are a dangerous opponents, put their bodies on the line and run plenty so I hope Lamps has some surprises for them. Ah and I fucking hate international breaks.
  10. Can not overestimate how important and clinical this finish was. Maybe his best goal so far all things considered. (only slightly optically blemished by that feckless clearance attempt by Yoshida) To control the ball like he did, anticipate the unconventionally outrushing goalie and weighting that lob to perfection.... I tried this often enough myself to know how difficult a lofted finish on the half-volley under the pressure from goalie and defender is. Any more power on it it hits the bar any less yoshida gets it. People keep comparing him with Lukaku but show me such a finish and controlled first touch from the burly Belgian.
  11. Unfortunately could not watch the game but I treid to avoid the result and watched the highlights, so i got pleasantly surprised. have to say it looked like an absolute qualtiy performance, the goals were great. awesome CHO started, even though he should have scored. I liked the Mount goal most because of the great build up play. Southampton is not an easy place to go and it looks like we dominated from start to finish creating chances for fun. This team is such a joy to watch despite the defensive howlers and it looks like Willian and Alonso really justified their inclusions today. Abraham and Mount also looked great. Does anyone have quality extended highlights btw?
  12. wonder if a draw or a palace win is better here. palace are now on 14 just and 0 gd. if we win tomorrow we will surpass them.
  13. But is he not the exact same player as Conor gallagher? Rcie has never really struck me as anything special. But he is just 20 and already an okish PL player. Anyhow, i think we should spend big on finished superstars for the positions we do not have sufficiently talented players from our youth only instead of buying okish players for squad roles as we did the last few years.
  14. Agent van Aanholt equalized for palace vs West Spam. this could still turn out the perfect matchday for us again. We should get into the top 4 asap to settle nerves and this right now also requires Leicester and the Spammers to drop points.
  15. damn what a horrid week for Lloris, lets hope he gets better soon. These injuries can be career wrecking at that age. Anyway, happy spurs are losing and they do not look one bit like turning this around. Wouldn't have known from last weekend that Brighton can actually play football tho.
  16. As much as I hate Willian and like Pulisic as a player, i can not belive how may people are demanding starts for Pulisic. Have a little patience. Other than the super cup Puli has been absolute shite. Always doing the same thing, sprinting down the line, scoffing his shot or falling over. Producing turnover after turnover. Leaving Azpi exposed. Willians introduction has stabilized us and improved the transition with his ability to carry the ball. Also he is positionally disciplined. No one noticed Azpis drastic improvement in form? Willian has helped him out a lot and we are not conceding goals from.the right almost every game unlike when Pulisic started. To my absolute disgust replacing Pulisic with Willian has been a clever short term fix to two of our most obvious problems in the opening games. I understand people want to see more of Puli, he is young, great pace, American, 60m signing etc and his time will come. But right now he is not what we need.
  17. Good for us. Less probability to get injured or tired just riding the bench for england. But still can call himself senior internationaln to boost his confidence.
  18. Tomori is becoming the new Luiz. Great passing range, skill and pace with the occasional fuck up.
  19. Could make it 4 wins on the spin. Willian obviously will start, Mount might need a break. Not sure if Reece did enough to displace Azpi just yet. I did not like the Zouma Tomori partnership. Can not wait für Rüdiger and Emerson to come back. The sheer pace of that back line will enable us to play way higher line and dominate teams even more. CHO indeed deserves to start. He always has endproduct.
  20. Ecstatic about the win. Wednesday night in rainy Flanders, this was never gonna be pretty. After a great opener and once again a frustrating corner goal conceded, the game was growing increasingly flat as usually 90% of halftime draws in these kind of constellations remain as such in fulltime. But Lampard said "I am not having this" and made the proactive match-winning substitution. We needed a result and grinded one out. This is the mark of top teams.
  21. I hope CHO was watching today. The goals from Gnabry were an absolute masterpiece of an inverted winger playing exploiting space. the anticipation, the awareness, the close control, the fnishing, perfect execution on all 4 goals.
  22. dafuq. concede 7 at home in the CL alright. BAyern have been absolutely clinical tho
  23. Gnabry has become such a beast, absolute blitz goals. Tottenham are really unimpressive this season tho. Shows you that too much stagnation for too long will just make you ordinary. Mind this is about their best possible team , probably best ever team with Son, Eriksen, Kane, Lloris, Eriksen, Alderweireld, Rose all in their prime.
