It is statistically evident that refs are at least subconciously influenced by power patterns as bigger clubs and home teams are generally favoures. In this case the linesman, the utd players and the fans all tried to dissuade Auba from finishing that off so credit to him for staying in the zone. Mark of a true scorer. The linesman however should be probed. Not only was he plain wrong, he tried to interfere with play against the policy of letting play on and even continued waving his flag for a few seconds instead of realizing his clear misbehaviour.

Best possible result for us. Our poor start to the season did not cost us as much as expected. We obviously would never have had a say in the title race anyway but top 4 is still doable with how poor the teams around us have been. Our offensive play looks much better than what we saw today and our form should go with young team and manager learning. Ole looks super one dimensional by now and Arsenal is just milking off Auba.

Alcohol problem or not. That is just plain unprofessional. Not sure if he had monday off but to be seen at 11pm 400km away from your workplace less than 3 days before an away match eating Chips would be weird in any job. But the real shame is even if this is not illegal or contract-breaking he has been wasting his once immense potential like this for years. He could have become a quality player but he is his own worst enemy. Then again it could be worse. He never was talented like Gascoigne, Basler, Adriano, never would have become absolute world class anyway.he is just a squad player. Would be madder if Tammy or Mount would do shit like that. Lamps should have a word with him nonetheless.

VAR this time vital. How can you initially give offside for that. He was 4m onside.
-
I'd rather he sit that one out and be rested till after the international break but I guess Lamps will roll him out as we badly need the win.
-
He is so young, he can still get faster by plyometric training etc would not worry. If it is not because of his achilles tendon, any muscle imbalances will surely be outgrown at some point.
-
You mean the commentators, yeah there is one brit and one with a strange accent and choice of words. As for the 3 guys in studio at halftime I am pretty sure 2 were American.

Tbf that was a mental save by Oblak

What a borefest. Our game vs Brighton had 10x more intensity. But really had to laugh at the yank moderators slacking off Hazard. Not that he is any good today but what do these Murica mummies even know about "soccer" ?

Pulisic has lightning pace. Even more than Sancho or CHO. He might not become a world beater but he still can be a an asset like duff or gronkjaer at their peak. If he gets Lamps system, becomes sharper and alert he will be dangerous in the press and in counter attacks. If he was not American he would not be here surely but now he is we can make the best of it and not write him off before he has had a proper look in.

If we can get a world class striker, cb and at least a very good left back and left footed right winger we will be in contention for everything again.
-
When you have alonso next to you (or rather 70m in front of you) and still keep a clean sheet you are always in contention for motm
-
How can you ignore, experience? Just like his experience ignored the open goals he missed.
-
Butland is also average but better than pickford IMO
-
Well instead of kepa you know what I mean. when courtois left he was one of the names thrown around.
-
That did not look behind the line
-
Thank God we did not buy him back then as Kepa replacement. Bang average goalie.
-
Kdb at his best is arguably the best midfielder in the world. Everton meanwhile trying to emulate our wastefulness.
-
Pedro was so poor. No way he should start over Pulisic and Cho vs Lille.
-
For me, that was an own goal, Willians shot was going wide. But he forced it sonhe was still better thab pedro who savely passed every ball back to the brighton goalie
-
Oh fuck me international break again? I have hardly recovered from the last one. Turgid affair. But the timing is not too bad. Lamps still obviously needs time to work out his defensive tactics and maybe Rüdiger, Emerson and Kante can sit this one out again and stay in Cobham recovering

That's too much given we usually play with Jorginho as no. 6. The dm would just need to be a backup. I actually think any midfield three that does not feature Barkley is fine. Is there not a promising DM in the youth/dev squad? Btw Tomori clearly MOTM today. What a rock. Seldom seen such an explosive CB. Restricted them to 2 chances. One of which was again a poorly defended corner and we got lucky, still aint got that down pat. Defensively this was our best performance of the season albeit vs a team that has only once scored in their last 5 games. Offensively, Pedro (unforgivably) and Tammy (still learning) each missed a hattrick of the easiest chances imaginable. Alonso and Barkley with another 100% miss each so this makes it 8 chances from which we surely should have scored. The goals we actually scored were rather accidental at that. Finishing besides set-piece defending still our biggest issue. Azpi on the other hand was fine at once. Next up Lille in CL. Should be doable. Lille and Amsterdam are actually so close, they hardly count as away games.

Until it doesn't but really relived stillman great composure

When has pedro become this shit

Damn I hate Jorginhos technique
