  1. Now is not the time to slate the players - lets enjoy the victory and see what Friday brings us in the Semis All of the lads deserve respect tonight!
  2. You always need a German in the team These guys live for the big games Well done Shirley give it 2-3 seasons and he will be immense under Mourinho.
  3. Just landed in Dubai Posted somewhere else a few days back we would go in 1-0 up at half time and then score late in 2nd half Best text messages I have ever received - even on the A380 plane using wifi to keep updated Will download and watch the highlights Get in - MASSIVE result Where's all those people saying this season is a failure now? 3 games and we could have a 2nd CL in 3 years Yeah - we're doing 'real' bad
  4. Azpi deserves it more - sure Hazard has done really well - but at €30 million he was supposed to! Azpi cost what - £8 million ? - now that's bang for buck
  5. I'm not so sure who else could stay in a multi-million pound a year job - without being fired, for doing nothing? Wenger is pretty smart won nothing, bottled it at every opportunity and is still in a job just wow! It's the whole club, from the Board down - none of them are winners! I know Roman gets stick - but he is a winner through and through and expects nothing less than success - I love that!!!
  6. The Player of the year is.... Azpi Guy deserves it - best player by far and such a bargain! Who else has played out of position and given so much? Plays with heart, desire and enthusiasm - never hides on the pitch! As a fan, I respect and admire that. Keep it up son!
  7. All we have to go on are a few remarks by both parties - none of us are privy to what actually was discussed. Hindsight is an amazing thing - it has the uncanny knack of making things look better/worse... Lets wait until the summer before deciding his fate The parallels drawn with Casillis (sp?) are crazy. Casillis was actively engaging dressing room sabotage and leaking private info to his GF (sports journalist)... A dangerous game - for which he paid the price! As the reserve keeper had SO many great games for Madrid and has now ousted him longer term. So in 'hindsight' Jose was actually right to drop him See - its a tough one Another adage worth remembering is 'careful what you wish for...' Personally, Lukaku is doing well - I probably would leave him at Everton for another season, IF they get CL football. Will be a great test for him. No denying his raw ability - but CL is the next step up...
  8. If we can get to HT 1-0 up - then we stand a chance. Scoring the 2nd in 93 min of injury time (Terry header) - will be perfect Overall result 2-0! We've done it before and can do it again!!!
  9. Andy Carroll = job done Only joking I'm not a fan of any of the forwards we are linked to at the minute - as long as we don't spend too much, happy they can be stepping stones forward. What we don't need is another Torres... CM is indeed needed as is LB - Modric and Shaw would be my ideals in that situation...
  10. Yes in the same way victory was 'guaranteed' against Villa and Palace Normal humans realise that there are no 'easy' games in the EPL
  11. My player of the season.... Sure Hazard will likely get it - but Azpi has been immense - what did he cost - £9 million? Few more of those transfers please Board
  12. Lol gotta love this place, we win 3-0 - few comments saying well done. We lose and literally hundreds of posts complaining about everything Normal server load resumed then Ahh that silence is deafening
  13. Hang on - isn't this the player who last week.. A) had no vision and could never be a number 10 couldn't score if his life depended on it He had an amazing game. Exactly what a number 10 should do. Bossed and was involved in everything! Like this guy in that position. As someone else said: Hazard. Willian. Salah Is a scary prospect for defences If we had Shaw (LB) and Azpi (RB) overlapping too - just wow Matic also had a blinder
  14. Played very well and a bit more composure and it would have been unbelievable Very good signing on what I have seen so far - very encouraging. Also pleased for the lad, he was told next season and he said, I want to fight for this season and he has been rewarded. We haven't had a smile like that since Makelele or the Bison - probably need it on the pitch and in the dressing room
  15. He's gone - end of story, nothing more to say - except lets never repeat this buying performance again!!!
  16. Not sure tbh... Looks a bit 'Championship' rather then 'Premiership' But - will I still buy one - probably, or might look at away strip and third strip instead... I know I will buy something
  17. It's burn out - the guy needs a break.... Think back to the Oscar first 15-20 games of the season and now look at him... It's nothing but our gruelling hardcore schedule. He will come good and learn to pace himself physically and mentally. A summer in Rio is just what he needs!!!
  18. Dude - seriously - how many managers have we had in 3 years? - AVB - DiMatteo - Benitez - Jose How is anything supposed to transition with that amount of managerial turnover? Transition is going from a stable set-up, adding elements of change, and finally returning to stability. We are a massive way off that yet.
  19. Getting beaten by one of the most expensive squads ever assembled? Think you need to chill out mate - go have a wank or something and calm down... T.T. Has some great material in the NSFW thread
  20. Going a bit far? Mata hardly doing great for Man U? It happens - we were beaten... Lets all man up... (Woman up too) Summer will see changes and next season to see a proper Chelsea team However, don't count out a 2-0 win at the bridge... Away goal was crucial
  21. All part of the rebuilding process... Ship out those that can't, bring in those that can
  22. I like your passion on this - my only slight disagreement - is with the respective expectations on Everton and Chelsea? I don't think many expected the instant success Martinez is having - and certainly Everton (a good, honest club) weren't expected to win anything this year. So that does make it easier to bring youth through, whereas we always have a higher expectation Therein lies the problem - if we could have a grace period of 2 years and all fans, players bought into this philosophy - ten it might just work, but the realist in me doesn't see that happening...
