This post by a dude called Theonas (1St post, page 5) sums Mou up perfectly: He is pretty much the perfect man to get the job done i.e: get you a medal. He is the equivalent of a hitman really. Logic suggests therefore that if you need a trophy in the here and now, he is your number 1 candidate above pretty much everyone else. He is more proven than Pep and makes Ancelotti look like a newbie in the art of winning trophies and one bad season is not going to change that. The catch though is you have to abandon any notion of a style with him and by style I don't mean entertaining or attacking football or whatever. I simply mean an idea, a foundation that can be called upon for long term success which is again a bit like a hitman, he would come in, do the job with whatever means necessary and get it done. The question is therefore is are we desperate like that for a trophy, For me, it is a definite no! 2 years (very likely 3) without a trophy is nothing in the big scheme of things. Barcelona went 5 trophyless years, Juventus were in the second division and we ourselves went 3 years without a league title under Fergie and all those sides came back from that. So I think we still can afford more time in the hope of building and working on more long term views. This obviously has a limit and if it continues like this, there will be a point when going further trophyless will in fact jeopardize our status and finances like what happened to Liverpool at a certain point and to a lesser degree Arsenal. If it gets to that, Mourinho is ahead of everyone to save us. If not, he really offers nothing else and therefore should be as far away from the list of candidates as possible.

Brenda the Spender Arse 'n Jur gunna draw Maurice?
-
I know - fucking hilarious ? Ron Atkinson will be linked next It's not gonna happen until the summer and even then it's 50/50 - I'm realistic about it. I'm sick of Mou, but the board ain't rushing anything. The Ostrich approach has been enabled The weird thing about life is - they may end up being right Earth flat vs round all over again
-
He's good at building an attractive attacking philosophy - which is entirely opposite to what we have now (unattractive, defensive football) I, like others think Man city is his destination, spend what he likes and already have an abundance of attacking players. Easy win for him, here he would have to work his bollocks off...

Lol ? never believe these types of story Check my post a few pages back, it's just the same article over and over again with <<insert name of interim manager>> Then <<insert name of manager in Summer>> It's like bullshit bingo - pick a name from the left pile and then the right pile and you have your story
-
Yeah :) The only time it's now acceptable to be behind him is next to a cliff and then pushing him gently over is also allowed
-
C'mon is it summer time yet?
-
Sounds legit - that well known Place STANFORD BRIDGE Lmao
-
Mate that will be one underused bookmark Mou has clearly lost the dressing room and for a while now...
-
Yeah sorry dude - wasn't a personal attack on you - just more of an observation about how pathetic the media have been in this whole process...
-
How many previous games did ESPN also report the same story Jose Mourinho will be fired if he fails to win his next game against <insert Team> it is rumoured that Chelsea are looking at <insert dubious manager> as a temporary replacement until the summer when <insert big name manager> will be available... Rinse and repeat...
-
He's not going - just speculation from Twitter and cheap journalists fishing for clicks... Breaking news, own goal is upset after manager alleges he betrayed him... Own goal prefers Ron Atkinson as interim manager...
-
And Holland have underperformed for years Hiddink is a decent manager until the summer

These papers and sources are all over the place. If the contract is £40 million - then I don't care who you are, there is zero chance it's a contract without 'remedies' The clause will likely be, payment until a new job is found, up to a maximum of the remaining contract value. It's unlikely that it will be a cold hard lump sum. Even this if true is extremely poor and if true, shows we have learnt nothing from the previous manager musical chairs. Whoever is in charge of our contracts team needs to be fired. Absolutely shocking. However, if Mourinho is sacked and he loves Chelsea so much, surely he would be willing to forgo such a payout? He's one of us right? Wrong! He will do what every other person would do, bank the money, that kind of cash will set his family up for generations. Not bad for a translator at a football club As for 9 players going, sure - but other people have to want to buy them, or again, see above, we are screwed with contract value - it's not FM in the 1990's where you coud release anybody I can't imagine anything happening today, it's just papers and click bait...

Agree ? and players that might actually want to play and give 100% on the pitch Zola as manager - just won't work for me, he's too much of a legend and if they treated him like RdM I would have serious issues Think Mou is here until summer, so the players need to knuckle down and ensure we avoid relegation and go again next season with a new manager
-
Yeah but below the belt that one old boy! The fans 'have' to sing even if they don't 100% support Mourinho - it's a show de force - the fans are doing exactly what the players aren't !!! Yes, I can fully appreciate the players not wanting to play - but they should! In this case it's either the players or the manager - but until the summer nothing will change, so let's give the lads who spend hundreds of pounds to go see the game some support! I like hearing the lads sing, even if we are losing, that's the spirit we need in the club!
-
Speaking a lot of sense there mate
-
Shhh you're not following the agenda All the players deserve a kick up the arse but maybe 3-5-2 vs Sunderland should be the starting formation Maybe we could go out and try to get 3 points for a change
-
Remy is an under utilised player Yes, he's probably not the best striker in the world, but neither is Vardy, but they can find the back of the net and that's what we need right now! I would bet with a decent run of games Remy is a 15-20 goals a season man, which is pretty decent
-
Yup, quite a few posts about that but none so eloquent as this. That's the problem - a leader puts himself on the line, even if you don't like them, you can respect them. I think a lot our players neither like, nor respect Jose. Before anyone complains, he has only himself to blame for this.
-
I wish we could have a lineup of: GK 10 x own goals We might win then
-
And what did you decide? Surely, it's rhetorical, if you suspect you have to ask the question, you already know the answer? That's how I approached it...
-
Cheers dude I hate wanting him gone - but see no other option - it's either him or 10 new players. I still maintain here's here until the summer - despite what I might think - the only thing that could trigger Romans itchy finger is if we do 'actually' drop into the relegation zone for a period of time. The game against Sunderland is a 6 pointer must win. The trouble is, Mourinho is a problem, but I'm not sure Ancelotti is the answer? Maybe I'm doing Ancelotti a disservice, he probably would have us near the top of the table, but my dreams of a dynasty and Chelsea owning the PL are in tatters. I also think Ancelottis is a short term manager, I dunno, maybe long term guys just don't exist anymore? Whoever comes in needs to lift the team, focus on slick football and embed some youth I REALLY loved Ranieri's interview last night - the players are well drilled, they all fight for each other and know instinctively where their counterpart will be on the pitch - I miss that in our team so much!!! Then in true RANIERI fashion he talks about 'electricity' - genius - the thought of his players running on electricity I also loved that he still likes Chelsea and said his team! Classy bloke! Let's not forget he made some amazing signings and he really defined the core nucleus of Chelsea. A manager that can get Albrighton performing and Vardy scoring regularly is a great manager indeed, he's like Martin O'Neil - takes an average player and turns them into world beaters. The 'midas' touch. For me MOURINHO seems to have the 'reverse Midas touch' every player turns to shit - lol I dunno what the future holds, but I can't wait to see us playing like that and with a smile on our faces again. That will be a good day and all of us should never get complacent with 'winning' again

Lol my old man is a 'Lion' - he keeps texting me saying see you next year down the Den at first I laughed and considered him senile, not so sure now
