  1. Agree with everything except the last two paragraphs. How a manager conducts himself around the club and in public will have an effect on the players. Hiddink is trying to calm the situation down and make it all about the football and being professional. One of the fundamental issues we had, in my opinion, was Mourinho turning the pre and post amble into a media circus, needlessly casting the spotlight on everything. Journo's are like sharks, they can smell blood from miles away, we were giving them too much ammo. Chelsea became a media circus first and a football club second and that showed on the pitch. A return to football first is sorely needed.
  2. RM is the perfect destination for JM - he needs to exorcise those demons - on a personal level! This Jose is much more fragile, bitter and twisted - I really hope he goes back and achieves something. It's sad to see such a legend shitting the bed so regularly. If his destination is United, then Best of British, but I will pray every day for your continued demise... To me it's that simple... I really hope he gets the RM job
  3. Unless Mourinho's digs about the Gardener being able to win at the club's Pep has managed has touched a nerve? Winning the CL with Chelsea before Mourinho, the self proclaimed Chelsea Hero would be a nice 'poke in the eye'
  4. Either schizophrenic or people are way off the mark
  5. Who knows - maybe they did ask him for his vision, along with other managers they were scouting and didn't like what he had to say? Jose's brand of football is typically successful, but never beautiful, except a few rare moments. Maybe, Roman, still hasn't scratched that itch of wanting beautiful football? I guess we will never know what really happens unless Jose and Roman both release autobiographies and the truth would probably lay somewhere in the middle between them...
  6. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) Leif is advocating driving clicks, increases visitors, increases unique sessions, increases ad revenue
  7. I thought it was The Only Place To Be? Liked his posts first time around and seem to OK second time around too
  8. Wish people would understand what's happening She's taken the club to an industrial tribunal, one of the remedies is that she gets her job back, or if untenable, she will get a payout She has another action, and is suing Mourinho individually. I expect this will be settled out of court - especially if UTD are getting him If she comes back, she comes back, if she doesn't, she doesn't. If the players like her and want her back - so be it, whatever motivates the dirty little fuckers
  9. Arsenal will win the League - City are shite Otamendi is the most overated player since Mangala Sterling wasn't ready for the jump up (bullet dodged there) KDB isn't doing too well on the wing - probably needs to be more central.
  10. Lol Arsenal walking it - this is why I don't want Pellegrino (water boy) here Just terrible tactically...
  11. Just need to mark Deeney and Ighalo out of the game here - having a compact midfield and defence will help. I never thought I'd say this, but maybe we need Mikel to sit alongside Matic and play deep to stop the runs of Deeney and Ighalo. Ake had a stellar game on the left for Watford against Pool, so glad he won't be playing, that should leave them exposed on the right hand side. If we can win the midfield battle and not make silly defensive blunders, I can see us winning this.
  12. Pellegrini is tactically inept though, yes he plays with flair, but when Yaya and Silva aren't working the team is easy to beat, that's my main concern There seems to be some arguments around possession based football - for me tika taka isn't the only form of possession based football, I honestly don't mind about possession too much, it's what you do when you have the ball that counts. How many times last season did the pundits bang on about, they had 70% possession but still lost... Possession <> winning Although, I do admit it's impossible for the other team to beat you if they don't have the ball. I was hoping for Simeone or maybe Hiddink staying for a season, so I'm still ok with that - just think Pellegrini would be a step backwards, he has massively underachieved IMHO with City.
  13. My God - I don't want Pellegrino - I'd rather take a risk on an unknown manager. That would be a step back in my opinion (usually worthless )
  14. God no! He's useless I wouldn't take another striker from Liverpool. Ighalo from Watford for me £15million done deal...
  15. Go watch Ighalo - he's a good striker wouldn't mind signing him. And it's always nice to watch Pool lose
  16. Ighalo - What a player - let's sign him Watford 2 - 0 Wankers
  17. C'mon mate - that's an unfounded allegation, let's not rise to that, the truth will come out eventually...
  18. Jesus those memories, that's a bit I haven't used in a while, might have to find a VHS to DVD converter and watch some of those old season highlights again... Still surprised nobody is blaming Yokohama!!!
  19. Maybe, but I'm not sure his is the same vinegar as Mourinho's... I think Mou kinda lost the plot, I haven't (and not been paying close attention) seen Simeone throw his players under the bus, nor sub one on and off in the space of a few minutes. So it's probably not a comparison of apples to apples, more like apples to oranges
  20. I knew it didn't feel right as I typed it - yup Mr Sinclair, for a season or so he scored like 5 own goals, he was always pinging them in.. Heart wrenching looking at his distraught face afterwards. I think I was watching Chelsea TV and he was being interviewed and some other players kept ripping him about the own goals - saying how much he must have won from the bookies
  21. Hmmm they are currently trailing to a squad that cost less than their toilet block I do get what you are saying, I agree, they have put a fantastic infrastructure together, the problem is, there is no guaranteed recipe for success, that's what makes football so appealing. You can literally have everything and still lose out to an underdog. But yes, broad strokes - their philosophy is years ahead of ours, we've had more u-turns than the Labour & Conservative governments combined. The problem is, I think Roman likes to get involved, whereas Mansoor is slightly more passive. I get the critiscm of Emenalo, but who should we get to replace him as Director of Football? I feel at least with the new stadium plans we are moving in the right direction, pending CPO approval, our Academy is pretty decent, so we have all of the ingredients, just missing (some may argue the most important element) that definition of footballing ethos. Our random approach has worked to a certain extent and I think it could possibly work for the future, but I'm happy to be swayed. The smart money is on Pep to City, but football is full of twists and turns, so don't be surprised if he doesn't end up there. I think it's always easier to look at other clubs and think they are doing it better, but then they are looking over here at our trophy cabinet thinking fucking hell, why don't we go a bit crazy like Chelsea... Almost akin to the grass is always greener idiom. I used to plan everything, but sometimes it's impossible to plan for every eventuality and who was it who said, life is what happens whilst you're busy making plans... Let's just hope come Kick Off we put on a fight and deliver a much needed victory.
  22. Lmao always so suspicious I thought Rhino's had bad eyesight, how did you see that one coming Nah - I'm cool for tickets dude Just thought I'd stick up for you
  23. A husk of a Club that has won more trophies than that shower of shite from Manchester. They have spent way more than us and have barely scraped through in Europe, got done over by a bunch of pensioners playing for Yawn'ited, just laughable really... I think you worry too much about having a long term plan, the world is very short term now, nothing is built to last. None of us know how this will turn out, could be good, could be bad, but could be good, the only way to tell is live through it and it's easier to do that with a smile on your face...
  24. Why would she get boo'd? What has she done wrong exactly?
