  1. Abramovich is currently the fourth richest person in Russia and the 50th richest person in the world, according to the 2010 Forbes list with an estimated fortune of $11.2 billion. Yeah thats $11.2 Billion that the banks and Government know about... ;)
  2. Chelsea set to make final £25m Neymar offer Chelsea plan to step up their pursuit of highly-rated Brazilian striker Neymar by tabling a £25 million take-it or-leave-it offer with Santos in the next 24 hours. Representatives of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich are currently in Brazil attempting to resolve an escalating row over the 18-year-old who recently made his debut for the Selecao. Chelsea had a £17 million bid for Neymar rejected last month and are set to follow it up with a £25 million final offer, but that still might not be good enough as Santos are holding out for the £29.6 million buyout clause in his contract. The Brazilian giants won't budge from their stance despite Neymar - who has publicly expressed doubts about leaving - privately informing his club that he wishes to join Chelsea. According to Soccernet sources close to the deal, the economic rights of the player are owned by investors, who believe that they need to persuade Neymar to sign a new contract because his value has already soared to beyond his buyout price. An insider told Soccernet: "There is a big fight still on to convince Santos to part with the player. There is strong pressure on the boy to stay. "In the next few days we shall know one way or the other whether a deal with Chelsea can be achieved." Chelsea have been caught up in an amazing tug-of-war for Neymar, with Santos threatening to report them to FIFA for tapping up the striker. But the source said: "The President of Santos had dinner with agent Pini Zahavi and the people from Chelsea. How can that be tapping up? "The boy was forced to go onto Brazilian TV to say he wants to stay with Santos, when the truth is that he wants to go to Chelsea." Soccernet
  3. Well i wouldnt be suprised if they didn't even make CL... Fabregas wants to leave, the defenders score more goals then the attackers, The manager is a wanker who wants to turn over a profit instead of winning any silverware.. If Arsenal couldn't beat a 10 man Liverpool than they have clearly got some work to do..
  4. Being on the other side of the pond, i would gladly pay £100 to even get a glimse of our boys.. You guys just dont know how good you've got it...
  5. At the end of the day i would be happy if he joins but i won't care if he doesn't.. We have a plethora of other talent around Europe who would jump at the chance to come here! Our team plays a very distinct style of football which depends a lot on strength and power.. Part of me thinks he would suit Arsenal a lot more than us... To be honest i would prefer a much taller attacker, somebody who can actually make use of all the corners we get...
  6. Drogba is Drogba. Kalou is Kalou.. Let's not forget that... They both have a very differant style of play. Stop comparing them..
  7. A bit of a contradiction there wouldn't you say??
  8. I agree, Close this thread for now.. Carlo also praised Mario Balotelli but i don't see him coming here either....
  9. I think they will both play. Or be on the bench just in case...
  10. I don't know about that one.. Sure Kalou's finishing leaves little to be desired, but i think his pace is the key. With more experience i think Kalou can be dangerous. Anelka tends to slow the ball down on a fast break. If we could get some real speedsters in there, i think we could be terrifying. Arsenal have shown the amount of points that can be scored on a fast break, and there players ain't half as talented as ours...
  11. who's arguing? People come here to discuss and debate the going on's of football... Isn't that what a forum is for??
  12. Agreed, I have no doubt Carlo will stick with his strongest and most consistent 11 up until we get some carling cup and FA Cup matches. We might see some younger players get a run in a home game if we are in a comfortable position.. Although i believe Sturridge needs to play ahead of Anelka...
  13. If he takes advice from or even looks up to Robinho in the slightest way then i don't want him...The amount of headache he has caused all his previous employers is enough to turn me away from anybody even remotely like him...
  14. So why has everybody that has posted a team line up forgot about Mikel? If you guys honestly think Carlo will start a new player on his first appearance are going to be in for a suprise.. I expect to see him get a run but no more than 30 mins...
  15. Ballack is the epitome of a true champion. A great competitor who is very passionate and hungry.. I will truly miss him and never forget him..
  16. Its the rosary.. I think it has a prayer inside it..
  17. I can see this one getting nasty..... athough i am extremely happy with todays result i still believe we are missing something in defence... If it was a fitter and faster team than West Brom i think our backline could have been in a little bit of trouble in the first half.. When West Brom had possesion they looked ok.. It sure was good to see them switch on in the second half and demolish them though..
  18. I'm excited. Although I don't expect to see him play much for the first team. He is still very young...
  19. I don't think he will.. I have doubts about him being around till brazil 2014. But I reckon the euros will be his swansong..
  20. I think the next signing of the season needs to be the person who designs the Marseille kits... That or the Madrid one....
  21. Exactly! Like i said before, we have been blessed with an easy start so hopefully by round 5 we can start dominating again.. The key to our title was beating the top 4 sides.. But, we still need a lot of work against the likes of Everton. Man city, Tottenham and Aston Villa away... If Carlo can treat those games like he did with Man united, Liverpool and arse, than i have no doubt we can pip united for the title...Lets not forget, we are the Champions and most of the smaller teams will play out of their socks to get a result against us, everybody wants a shot at the champ!!... It's arguably going to be the toughest season yet...
